How can you tell a woman as confident as Fumi, who SHE is. Yall demanding, entitled internet people get on my last nerves!!! Do not put the fabulous Fumi in a box. She is beyond that. Why don’t YOU create the RU-vid channel YOU want to see?? *eyeroll* 🙄
@@fashionwithoutlabelsshe can because we've been following her way long before you all began dragging her into commenting on celebrity gossips! What's rubbing you the wrong way, pleeeeease, take a chill pill
@@fashionwithoutlabels This was not an insult to Fumi. As classy as she is and the wisdom that she shares our world needs especially the younger generation. Hollywood is in the entertainment business…let “THEM” continue.
I rarely watch celebrity gossip because it adds nothing to my life, but this right here is the kinda of content I like, so educational and so filling to my cup

It is a personal point for me to Always be presentable. I don't wear makeup (yes really) and I only get my nails done when I go on vacation (I've always done manual work). I will always remember a young lady coming up to me on the last day of college. She pulled me aside and told me she had loved my style the whole semester. I thought she was talking to someone else before talking to me! I told her I was mostly in sweats the semester; I was even in sweats that day. She told me that even my sweats were nice and always matched. I thanked her shyly because I wasn't feeling very confident at that time. I still remember her and how, even though I was depressed that semester, I was still coming out in public looking put together and like I had everything together. I've been plus sized since I hit puberty but my mother always instilled a sense of pride when it came to our appearance.
Needed to read this cause I am currently in a weird demi-depressive phase and every other day I struggle to even at least be motivated to throw on co-ordinated outfits for work.
@oyayemayafaro7307 oh hope you feel better love. Looks elevate your mood and make you feel worthy.. but I know when you have that turmoil in your head, everything is a struggle
@@oyayemayafaro7307 You got this sweetie! I've been spiraling down into depression again these last two months but still force myself to get ready for the outside. I was even so exhausted that I didn't do my hair but put on a cute head wrap that matched my clothes. I NEVER do that.
The only exception is... When ppl yell, "hey Fumi, Fumination, etc", while outside, I don't see that as rude or classless. Ppl get excited when seeing ppl they know. Be them a celebrity or not. That'll never change. Please Fumi, try to keep that in mind while you're out & about. You're in the public eye more now then ever. Don't detour your fans from showing u love. 🥰
You are soo right! My Mama taught me; “ No one knows how bigger fool you are; until you open your mouth! “ 😬Also ; out of the heart abundance; the mouth speaks. - Bible
When I joined FUMINATION, over three years ago, it was because of her robust laughter ,as she taught us those fabulous bra hacks, and for S2S. Of late, especially this year, Aunty Fumi has catered mostly to her US subscribers, because they're the largest population of FUMINATION. It became obvious that they were interested in celebrity gossips or news(however you choose to call it), and I haven't been coming to the channel for almost three months now, except when she had the podcasts... It's her job, but her personality shows, even as she comments on those celebs she been requested to comment on... I don't give my energy to those people, but I will never unsubscribe from FDV, because I have learned A LOT from Aunty Fumi. She's just a beautiful soul for people to think that we don't know or can't see her heart through her work.😢
Now this is exactly why I always carry a pair of shades, a scarf and a hat with me. I absolutely hate it when people yell/scream/ shout out my name in public. Basically i hate it when I am in public and the public be there😂😂😂😂
This is so true about being put together; in the shops, in the streets, the stores, everywhere : managers, personnel, complete strangers etc tell me ‘you are a LADY’ and I can be wearing a leather coat and my hair wet from rain and they still tell me, I’m a Lady and it shows -
In my teens I spent hundreds of dollars for things that were in style. This was the seventies. The next year I could not wear them. What did I do? I found Ralph Lauren. Most of my wardrobe is Ralph Lauren. I have been wearing him for fifty years. Some was bought at high end stores. A lot was bought at T.J. Maxx. He was in collaboration with them. I bought somethings in Maxx that was in the stores. I dress very classic. I have bought some pieces, but everything in my closet is Ralph Lauren. I love him.❤❤❤I love you.
I believe people should dress according to their day to activities. If you aren't working or going somewhere important then you shouldn't be dressed in a suit everyday. That's my opinion.
You don't have to be in a suit to be presentable. I can wear leggings and a top and go do my groceries as long as my hair is combed and teeth brushed. I don't think she means wear suits or fancy clothes, it's wear appropriate clothes always.
That's not what she meant. U have to be nice to see. Clean and neat. You can put baggy jeans, a top and tongs with nice colorful short toe nails, with your hair tied up some gloss and creole earrings and look really nice
I’ve started buying pretty comfortable dresses for everyday - I’m on zoom quite often and I can also just pop to the shops or open the door for the delivery person.
Ever since I have subscribed to your channel, I have always seen myself in you...sassy...classy...and expensive!!! I'm grateful for this episode and I so much enjoyed it....mostly the laughter parts haha!!! I love you Fumi❤ I hope to see you someday organizing events to empower women.
11:38 Sis Fumi's expression with those sunglasses😂😂😂 Jokes apart, thank you sis Fumi, really truly from the bottom of my heart, I thank you for educating us. You are the sister, mother and friend many of us want. God bless you and your family sis❤
Fumi, I completely agree with you about the importance of being presentable at all times. When I was in college, my track coach used to tell us that when we look good, we run well. It wasn't meant in a sexual way, but it was true that when we looked good and felt like we were at our best, great things happened. I try to apply this same mindset every day as an adult. Additionally, I make sure to limit the amount of logos I wear to only one item at a time, such as a bag, jewelry, or outer layer. I never go for a full logo look from head to toe. Thank you for your content.
So true. My, my, my we’ve seen some, many, who are not ready for this convo, but definitely need to get ready because they are simply ratchet and will be treated that way and not understand why. I think this conversation is long overdue here in the United Snakes because the women have lost their way.
This is a very Nigerian thing. You have to be well presented even at home. We usually wear colorful kaftans at homes or sleeveless summer dresses at home for the younger women. Always well put together when out n about
I feel like a lot of women just get wrapped up in trends, and it just looks cheap. A trend will never look classy and put together. Everyone is wearing it.
I’ve always felt the same way concerning labels being all over clothes I personally don’t like seeing labels on clothes, and I hate trends . Once I see everyone doing something I go the other way . I love having a sense of individuality and being able to showcase personality not being a clone.
You are correct people do judge you on the way you dress. People love beauty and class. Yet those that we see in the streets wearing close to nothing are being judged harshly. The way we speak anywhere is judged. Street talk is not good in front of everyone. This will cause one to judge and you will be left in the dust
Sometimes when I'm walking down the street, fumination!! Let me put my shades on. Got me cracking up 😂😂😂😂 Aunt Fumi can you please do a video on timeless pieces or outfits.
Love this Mrs. Fumi I'm so glad that classiness is still being kept alive! It is indeed a struggle when it comes to women who still believe in carrying herself like a real, true woman! Thank you!
I have been doing French nails since I was 17 years old and have been told ever time how classy my nails are. I’m an accountant so I do a lot of typing and I could never understand how some girls have long nails which if that’s your thing that’s fine. I just couldn’t do it. 😅
Fumi you are so right I've been around beautiful! girls and women and when they open there mouth to speak, it was a turn-off right off the bat! NO CLASS AT AII🙄
😎Just chilling with you on this episode! What a beautiful soul you are... Yes, I like! This feels so insightful, therapeutic, down to earth and refreshing, thanks.
Hi Auntie Fumi, on the topic of dressing with class, could you do a fashion video on how to look put together at home for someone who primarily works from home. I struggle to put nice lounge wear/comfy but cute outfits together (especially in winter!) I want to feel put together and not just wear bulky tracksuits all the time😅 any advice would be appreciated 🙏🏾❤
Aunty Fumi, thank you for this. I've been feeling like I was not being the best I know myself to be and I needed this reminder. As I just let myself get to a point where I didn't care about myself and I thank you so very much. Love and hugs all the way from Jamaica.🇯🇲💕💛💜🌹🌹🌹🌹
Oh my God, l love You Fumi! God protect You and may ladies,, adults of today have good hears twisted with good understanding to go through this 4th generation. Fumi l love You
Fumi, I have to say that I think that this is my favorite RU-vid video of you. I agree with all of what you said. I can't begin to tell you how I and one of my younger sisters are constantly arguing over how she acts. She tells me that I am bougie, when that is not true. I just know that there are ways that would benefit women to conduct themselves in order to get a positive desired outcome. Remember, when you open your mouth you put your brains on display and actions speak louder than words. So many women need this particular Youtue clip from you. I can't wait to see the other part to this.
Dress the way you would want to be addressed!! I honestly love dressing up especially for conferences, meetings etc it gives me that extra confidence. I have definitely benefited from “Pretty Dollars 💸 “ ❤…
Aunty Fumi Yes, to pretty dollars! I am going through a season where the clothes don't fit and feel great, and I've had moments of not caring anymore. No more after this episode. I'm going to get my wardrobe back! I am about to start walking through some doors!
Preach on it Aunty Fumi👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 I have been saying this to friends and family for years. It's not about the amount of money or the labels on the clothes, but how you put them together to complement your body. Just didn't know it was termed "Pretty Dollars". That's my new term 😊😁🥰 And thank you so much for talking about language. Ah you couldn't have said it better. That is usually a turn off and makes people lose respect. And trust and believe that's the reason for some lack of respect for our sisters out here in the US 🤦🏽♀️ And the bragging and lying is nauseating 🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊💯💯💯💯
This is the reason why I like listening to you. There are some stuff I don’t know about but through your videos I have learned and doing it. Please bring these up more often. Thanks Fums Always love
Loving this newly discovered term “ pretty dollars”. Though I didn’t have a name for it before today, but I’ve often been a beneficiary of this treatment.
