im honestly speechless about the first story, im so proud of her for getting out of such an intense situation like that, i also couldnt help but smile when she mentioned the gift, he will never truly forget the one that got away
Yeah, I'm so glad that she managed to escape. That is very traumatic situation to be in. I would be even happier if the POS that attacked her gets caught and thrown in jail.
I felt so sorry for the guy who lost his left leg and the woman who was almost raped I really hope they're doing ok I hope everyone in these stories are ok
As someone who lives in a Rural area with Pitbull breeds, I can affirm there are only bad owners. You have to train your dogs and not let them run around doing whatever they want. If they knew the dog was like that, then it should have been in the house with them.
@@BenSS3 yeah, training or not, it was absolutely the son's fault for pulling on the dog and causing more damage despite being told not to by both people.
I guarantee, the girl that bit that creep's arm is going to be the one who gets him caught. Someone is going to notice that scar (human bites usually get infected and scar pretty nasty) and they might not put two and two together, but it will be something that serves as evidence in the future. Maybe he's going to be nabbed for something totally unrelated, and that scar is going to go on some sort of descriptor list.
extremely slim chances to be honest, a smart criminal wouldn't goto a hospital to get treated after being attacked by their victim lol not a one close by anyway
@@brocowsci he's surely not going to a hospital. But that bitch is surely going to scar, so unless the guy wears long sleeves 24/7, someone is going to see it. Maybe they won't think much of it right away, but it's going to come into play later on.
As a girl in her 20s that's a delivery driver, that opening sentence gave me chills 😂 it is a pretty risky job, I dont ever get too far from my truck, make sure I can run and get away quickly.
Gosh I wish. I used to love mr. Nightmare because he makes the stories seem super scary but damn he’s just so inconsistent with uploading 10 minute videos
I was so relieved that one guy didn't get burned alive...I mean, obviously if he was telling the story he made it out fine, but can you imagine that fear?? I hope he's doing okay, because wow, talk about traumatic experience. Always remember kids, make sure you have the right person before you murder them :)
I don't think this story is true, a few things he said aren't how things occur...for example, he says something slammed him from behind & he flew over the handlebars. If you get hit from behind on a bike you absolutely will not go over the handlebars, you'll go backwards onto the cars front...basic physics. So with other inconsistencies it just doesn't seem to be true
That poor guy's story (the last one with the dog) shook me. Never did I think it was gonna end like that. And the guy with the moped. And the girl that got assaulted by the crazy robe nut case. That one hit me especially hard. The following is why. My daughter had a friend named Kayla Thompson who delivered for a place called Plus One Pizza. She was a very nice girl and she was a mother. She stayed at our home (sleepovers) on numerous occasions. Here is what you'll find if you Google Kayla Thompson - Plus One Pizza murder. Kayla Thompson, 26, was murdered Dec. 26, 2013, during a midday pizza delivery to Burris' home. Burris pleaded guilty last month to five felonies - kidnapping, theft of a motor vehicle, attempted rape, aggravated robbery, and aggravated murder - but was still eligible for a death sentence.Feb 20, 2015. He was driving around in her car with the Plus One Pizza sign on the top after he ended her life. That's what helped the police apprehend him. That girl that delivered for robe guy is very lucky that she survived that encounter. Biting and screaming helped save her. Never ever be afraid to defend yourself however you possibly can. When it comes to your life, all of society's rules on decency and politeness go out the door. Do whatever you need to do to save yourself. And if beforehand you get an uneasy feeling, a gut instinct, listen to it. It's there for a reason.
Yeah, that dog one. That is a really good reason to have a dog phobia. I really feel sorry for OP. To loose your leg has to be horrible. Especially for one so young.
@@KizhyKat Nah, the family should be fined and the dog removed from their care. I know a judge allowed a dog to be incarcerated as an alternative to putting it down for mauling. It's humane and if we can extend this courtesy to humans who kill, rape, and attack humans for the pleasure of it we can extend mercy to an animal who interpreted human aggression and trespassing as a threat.
I love hearing an American accent say bloody, legit, bollocks, lads, and my personal favourite “I never stole nuffin never stole nuffin” not to mention wheelie bin ( do they have wheelie bins in America lol) just sounds so funny 🇬🇧 🇺🇸 two countries decided by a common language. Made the mistake of asking a student for a “rubber” (means something very different here) when on a teaching experience in the US, still remember the look of shock and amusement on the kids faces lol 😂
For those that don't know my wife Stephanie is pregnant with our daughter and I asked The let's Read community what our daughter's name should be and they said Jolene. I'm proud that I'm going to be a father to our daughter thanks let's Read you are awesome.
That's so terrible about the guys leg. I'd have to ask did the dog get put down because of that? This is without a doubt some of the Saddest stories I've heard in this category so far.
This is why if you do work for a delivery company, you should never take a job from someone who doesn't list their apartment number. I do deliveries and I actually avoid apartments altogether because I don't personally feel safe entering a strange building where many people live and you can easily 'go missing.' I know some people can't afford to turn down these jobs. But if you are in that situation, please at least bring something to defend yourself with. Pepper spray is readily available and easy to conceal.
I delivered pizza for about 10 years on and off (mostly on) and surprisingly I never really had anything bad happen to me, thankfully; but a girl in my town got robbed and sexually assaulted on a call by a guy I went to high school with. That kind of shook me up but by that time I was no longer employed.
I feel like that guy would have had to get surgery for an injury that bad. Couldn’t they check the local hospitals? (For clarity I’m referring to the rapist, not the dog.)
Human bites, even simple ones, not deep like she described, can be EXTREMELY dangerous...we not only carry a great deal of bacteria and acid in our mouths, but different people carry different types of bacteria...and they can react quite harshly in foreign bodies, causing sepsis.
With the first story; couldn't the police search hospital records for a man fitting his description with a deep bite in his arm? I am assuming he must have needed hospital treatment? Or doesn't it work like that in the USA? I am not American, so I am not sure?
You are correct, it should work like that. And a human bite that tore into muscle is a very serious injury that would require medical attention to avoid deep infection...if it ever worked quite right again. Assuming all the facts are true.
Nothing pisses me off more than negligent pet owners- specifically powerful 'mean' breeds. Why wasn't this dog inside?! Leashed up?! In a closed crate or kennel?!? Who just *has* their dogs roaming free on their property?! Nothing good comes a free-roaming dog: either its gonna get hurt (car, wild animal attack, another aggressive dog) or *SOMEONE ELSE* is gonna get hurt. I love dogs- but I hope that person sued and that dog was put down. The man could've been killed!
Owner should have had dog contained somewhere, and had gate open for delivery guy, and since gate was locked, the driver should have attempted to call customer, and NOT enter, especially having to climb...
Yea also why would you hop the fence knowing it's a violent dog too?? But I agree this is mostly on the owners for not containing the dog knowing a delivery person is coming
If the story of the dog biting the boy, then I hope they sue till the owners legs fall off!!! I've had large breed dogs all my life that were trained to obey under any circumstances, especially if they had to bite!!! However, whenever a strange person was coming, I put my dog away because you just never know no matter how well trained the dog is!!!
Damn, that family with the dog is horrible at training, people shouldn’t get a dog if they can’t spend a couple days training the dog. At least get a family dog or something, that dog was probably put down because of that stupid ass family
The first one is definitely a reminder to be cautious when doing these side gig jobs 😨. Glad that girl got away & that creep has that scar to remind him forever
I used to be a delivery driver. I always kept a variety of sharp ink pens in my apron. I was assaulted once on delivery. A man was drunk and approached me (I thought it was his pizza because why else are you bothering me) and he grabbed me and was holding on to me. The house I went to only cared about their food so I basically threw it at them (the drunk STILL holding me at this point) and went to my car, which I left on but had the key on me. The drunk guy tried to get in my car but once I got inside I sped off and knocked him down. Of course cops never found him and that's when I started to carry sharp pens but it never happened again and I did delivery for 4 years after that
might sound mean af, but if a dog is mauling someone , boot it hard as posbl ib the jewels. itll stop. seen this happen once on the street, animal control officer had to do it.
@@SatanenPerkele Not all dogs, but certain breeds are stronger and more aggressive than wolves and should be illegal to own. I hope the owners were sued to oblivion. If not, I would be storming back and shooting them myself
Story 1, THANKFUL you got away if you're reading this. Your quick response is what saved you probably. I know that had to cause you some issues (just guessing), I hope you're doin ok & don't suffer any anxiety or ptsd from it. I'm just hearing the story & my anxiety is up. I might need a break before story 2 lol.
Really feel awful for the OP who lost his leg. I hope he sues the hell out of those owners for allowing such an untrained vicious dog to roam around (which I'm sure he probably did). Also, that dog definitely should be put down.
Having delivered in the past for many years, It’s unreal some the things and types of people encountered. Tips can be great but overall it truly can be a very dangerous job. I myself encountered more nuts than I can count through the years! 😆 Thumbs up for this episode! 👍
Those dog owners are terrible for not putting away that terrible dog despite knowing delivery was coming. I can see why the padlock was up, but how do you expect delivery when you don't even have an entrance for the delivery person? The son especially sucks for pulling on the dog when both his mom and the dog bite victim screamed at him not to. That could have been the difference between the guy keeping and losing his leg.
Just so y’all know… The fastest and most efficient way to get a dog off you is to choke it off. Leash, collar, anything to choke right under the jaw and behind the ears (not the base) Do not scream, do not pull, do not hit the dog, that increases frustration and makes things worse. CHOKE IT. Way to many people are killed and injured by dogs. Please if you have a dog I don’t care if they’re sweetest thing On the planet. IT HAS TEETH, ITS GONNA BITE. Please learn how to properly prevent bites and how to remove dogs.
The guy who lost his leg is just as much at fault as the owners. You never hop someone's fence for any reason. You call the customer and tell them you're outside, or at least honk the horn. If he'd had the least bit of common sense, this would never have happened
This kind of story is what first drew me to the channel. Of course, the 2017 video had footage from Little Nightmares playing in the background while the narration played.
These stories are why I stay armed... I travel by myself, and I need to be armed. But I made sure I downloaded the map of states where I can and can't open carry and where I need and don't need a permit for concealed carry. I've taken a nap at rest areas with my gun on my lap in case someone walks up and tries to take a peek in my window, and they'll see me n my girl.
Me who’s just started working at a pizza place as a delivery driver , today was my 2nd day delivering and I’m sat here eating my free pizza lol Edit: I just quit they were doing my head in
I've been bit by dogs before. Our 70 pound brat can be aggressive with the others. Those bites were my because I stepped in between before it got crazy, stupid I know. Those were quick bite, release, clean and go back to life as usual. The night two years ago when my arm was mauled was totally unprovoked and it was a pitbull that runs loose at night in the neighborhood. I had puncture wounds so deep that skin under was bubbling out them. I had gashes. I vaguely remember screaming. It felt like I was wrestling with this hell hound for hours but in all reality it was only about ten minutes. This dog wasn't just biting me, it was tearing at my skin. I've got some nerve damage in that arm now. I can honestly say I still love pitbulls. Most negative situations the owner needs blamed. No one knew who the owner was. Fun night at E.R.
@@SatanenPerkele it's sad you think that. My best friend died two years ago and he had been with us for 12 years. There are risks having any type of pet. I stand by the statement that dogs aren't the problem, it's the owners.
Being a resident of Minnesota for 35+ years the MN... The PTSD story (4?) Really got to me in a very obscure primal sort of way.... Especially with the dog bite bit - since I got bit by one and could have lost an eye by a fraction of an inch when I was a kid..... Good God! I work at Domino's at the moment... Talk about relatable...... :P
The dog story. 🐕 It sucks that part of the guys leg had to be amputated but this was not the dogs fault. I don't mean to sound cold but the pizza guy clearly said the house had a gate/fence with a chain and lock on it. He chose to jump over it and walk to the door. People that live in rural areas don't usually have fences around their house unless they have kids or pets. Rural areas are just that rural. Nothing is around. The owners didn't want their dog running all about. Also the owners should of left instructions for the driver however they probably thought having a fence with a chain and lock is sufficient enough.....cuz who would just jump over a chained and locked fence thinking ahhh naww their aint gonna be a dog here. It's sad it happened. But when it comes down to it all I know it wasn't the dogs fault. Oh and I wanted to add, the guy said he's stuck at home and can't do anything and just watches tv oh and is on disability. Why is that? Why can't he work? There are people out there that don't have any legs at all and they work. They do make pieces that slide onto the stump of the leg allowing him to walk, work, like everyone else. He can also swim. Or even play sports depending on which prosthetic he chose. Yes it may cause ptsd or anxiety and I truly understand what thats about because I suffer from anxiety too but there is medicine for that. As much as I struggle daily I still force myself up and I do what I can. So he can work he just chooses not to, and instead collects disability. It's fine to collect until everything is healed and start physical therapy and then get fitted for a prosthetic and then go back to work, starting off with a day or 2 and go from there. Ya shouldn't just sit on the couch all day and watch TV and collect disability and then make it out to be all the dogs fault when clearly it wasn't. It was the ignorance of both parties not the dog. The dog was locked behind a gate. I'm sorry but things like this really upsets me.
The dog simply couldn't let go! Research how that dog breeds yars are made. It snaps in place and is designed to not let go. That's it. You need brutal force to open it.
If anyone encounters a locked gated driveway during a pizza delivery run, you need to remain exactly where you are and just call the owner to meet you there or just go back to the restaurant. The dog was just doing its job of defending its property, can't blame it for any of this.
I know I'll probably get a lot of flack or this but I totally agree. The dog doesn't know you, and you first heard it Barking very aggressively beforehand and this person thought that it would be a good idea to jump the fence???! Smh 🤦🏻 Also the owners should have done something to prevent this incident like wait til he left. A sad situation all around, this guy lost his leg and the dog probably got put down for doing it's job. 😢
This one was super surprising. I loved it. I didn't expect all this super crazy stories in this one for some reason, but I am glad I didn't expect it. Made it all the more insane. I hope this people are doing much better in life in 2022. So disheartening.
