The Continental Mark II was definitely one of my favorite American cars from the 50's you could get one for a drop in the bucket in the 70s just a beautiful car I think Ford lost money one of them it was like an Aston Martin a Rolls-Royce built in America

As a young Lincoln Mercury technician back in the mid '70s I remember working on a Mark II. I was given the job of chasing down all of the interior water leaks and boy was that a project. The main culprits were the dual heater cores and the wiper mechanism. Apparently my boss thought I did well enough that the next job he gave me was a late '40s Lincoln Cosmopolitan with very leaky hydraulic power windows. The thing I remember about the Mark II, as if it was yesterday, was the smell of the musty old leather interior. Oh and the stutz was nothing more than a modified Grand Prix. It's kind of like taking a Honda, and turning it into a Sterling. It went from a decent car to a piece of junk.

Yeah, if you know what you're looking at, everything is Pontiac. The seats, climate control box, pretty much everything. I've always thought anyone driving one looked like an idiot.

My Neighbor Owned a Stutz Blackhawk when they first started rolling off the assembly line waaaay back in another life. The car he bought was originally ordered by King Faisal from Persia but Faisal died before delivery. It was Gold in color and had actual MINK FUR carpeting along with Gold Plated trim inside. Yes it was the perfect Ganster Car and my neighbor was certainly all that. It was based on a Cadillac Chassis. It was one of the Ugliest cars that one had to be seen in.

I have heard of every car included...I even remember the Lincolm Mark II in showrooms. (a side effect of having reached puberty in the early 60'S) But I must ask, how on earth do you consider the Bearcat's headlamps 'hidden", they are possibly the most in-your-face headlamps ever to be part of automotive design.

Unfortunately when the horsepower of the Pontiac motor went down in the mid 70s the stutz horsepower went down also too about 180 hp built on a Pontiac chassis it really wasn't much more than the dressed up Pontiac Grand Prix

@TairnKA

It would be nice while narrating a story of one car, not showing a different car. If the other car is a design change, note what year(s) both cars are to reduce confusion? At 6:37; Ah, plenty of leg room. ;-D I've pulled my "like" due to the poor editing in AI(?) narration, overlapping narration of one car with views of another, completely different car (9:34), retromod 55 - 57 T-Bird?), that you don't talk about?

The Stutz Blackhawk was the last production car designed by Virgil M. Exner Sr. who also designed the 1956-1960 Dual Ghia (the 1961-64 Dual Ghia was designed by Luigi Segre of Ghia Carrozeria Italy.)

Why does the voice keep repeating "Dual Ghia" 2while many of the shots are actually showing the DART????? And why all the silly struggling with numerous wonky ways of pronouncing "Caribbean" (how many ways can the anno0uncer say it?).... Who wrote all of this very worrrrrrrrrrrrrdy stuff???And why talk about the 1955 ansd 1956 models when these cars are never shown???
