I would love to try the Totas. It looked amazing. But tonight for dinner I am going to try to make the Chicken Benedict. I love Hollandaise sauce and make a mean one. I love to cook and try new dishes. I love when you show us different dishes because i will try to make my own. So once again, thank you very much for this wonderful video. You rock! Stay safe and keep it up.
I’ve been there twice. Incredible. Sorry, but I enjoy asking people about Caesar salad; they all say a town in Italy. The look on their faces is priceless and they usually don’t believe me. Big fun. It’s absolutely the best salad.
Tijuana is also a growing cultural center and has been recognized as an important new cultural mecca. The city is the most visited border city in the world; sharing a border of about 24 km (15 mi) with its sister city San Diego. More than fifty million people cross the border between these two cities every year.
Yes I realized that the city has changed a lot in the last 5 - 8 years, now you see every type of people in here, from Americans and foreigners, to a lot of asians and more black people usually from Haiti. Now its normal to hear Spanish, English, Creolle and even french from time to time in the city.
When you get tired of tacos? Said no one ever. He apparently has never had the best tacos!!! I love the fact that you went to restaurant where the Cesar salad was born. Spreading that culture!
Mexico is the only country I know where restaurants open and close whenever they want. They also have the luxury of opening only a few hours and days. the reason is that sometimes the meals are already sold, long before opening. Because someone throws a last minute party and buys everything. Mexico is always partying. Every day of the week
@M J You are probably talking about restaurants in a tourist area or some small town that has set hours to close. Because in most of all of Mexico. Street food is the tastiest and cheapest. These businesses compete with restaurants with a la carte menu. and they are open 24 hours. You just have to see lights on and people eating. food is safe. Because the constant consumption of food. forces owners to never refrigerate food and cook another batch in 6 hours or so
Hi! I’ve never heard of La Cayetana. I’ll have to try it some day. Saverios was ok. I’m not a fan of Italian. Any dish you recommend at Cayetana? Stay safe!
@@carloshernandez-bm7hp lol well if you aren't a fan of Italian, you might not like my recommendation. I love the mushroom risotto they have there, but the general quality of the food there is just wonderful. I think you'll be happy with whatever you order.
@@reigngreyson4046 thank you for replying. I’ll give it a try someday. The day I go it’ll have to be on a Thursday so I can try the bakery on this video too. To be honest I haven’t been South in awhile because I get discouraged by the lines when I return. My sister is on board to go so in the next couple of months we’ll try to go. Even though I don’t like Italian I might try your recommendation. Stay safe! God bless!
@@carloshernandez-bm7hp You are preaching to the choir about the lines. My wife lives in TJ, so by extension I do too. Don't let the line fool you though, if you want a great night out without breaking the bank, TJ has some luxury for regular SD prices.
Good content! Keep up the good work. I never comment or like YT videos but I had to since you are doing great justice to the beautiful country of Mexico 🇲🇽
I worked at an Italian restaurant in Hilton head island and would have to explain night after night why we didn’t have a Caesar salad because it was not Italian but Mexican. They never believed me. 🙃
thank you for showing this amazing culinary side of the city! helping other US citizens to know that they are safe here and that because of the cultural mix you can have a little pice of flavor from every state of Mexico here in Tijuana!😁
I went back to Tijuana for the first time in 14 years! & I gotta say, All I knew where taco and birria spots, but this side of the culinary industry in Tijuana is new to me. Thanks for the guide! I’ll definitely be hitting some spots next time I make the drive down to TJ. Thank you!
Watching you eat is a delight. It makes me laugh out loud. Notice that every time he bites into something, his eyes get really big with an intense look of concentration in them.
alot of people like to romanticize puebla, yucatan, oaxaca but the best seafood, beef, tacos, birria, beer and wine come from the north. Glad that Baja is finally getting recognized.
Pero no tienen platillos tradicionales como el centro y sur, mencionas la birria pero es de Jalisco, no niego que si tienen varios y la mejores carnes, pero Yucatán, puebla y sobre todo Oaxaca es lo mejor de lo mejor
For Burgers, Beverly Burgers or Barrikas, for BBQ TJ Grillers or Baja BBQ, for a good all around bar hop, try Plaza Fiesta across from Plaza Rio Mall, for Chinese Food, Palacio Royale, for good sit down american breakfast, Casa De Coronado...i could go on and on! TJ #664!!
Yo, i live in La Cacho! This little colonia is like a little European village, it’s very laid back and everything is walking distance. There are many food treasures here and coffee! It’s also very progressive and community oriented.
I’m really surprised that people don’t know that Caesar salad came fro TJ. I was raised in Palm Desert we just to go to TJ every. Couple of months, the only diff I see is the garlic should be prepped at the table, not taken from a chopped up container, garlic has a natural heat that only come out when it’s really fresh. It is my favorite salad, so I make it from scratch every time. I come from a restaurant family so I’m really picky about ingredients…..
Misión 19 is probably my favorite restaurant! Other great non-taco places to go: Verde y Crema (1 block north and across the street from Caesar's,), Oryx Restaurante, Riochia7 La Cabana del Artista, and La Bodega 8.
You taught me some new places in Tijuana! I live here and the only place I’ve been is Ceasar’s. They make the best Ceasar salad in the world!! Thanks for your video!!
I love the bloopers!😂😂😂👏🏼 la cacho 🤪 I get my pedicure every month there! En la cacho! Btw your Spanish is super good! I love when you talk in Spanish!
When my family visits from Chicago we always go to Caesars, it’s a beautiful restaurant, they have valet parking and all their food is delicious! I’ve never seen security out front, but I never felt it was necessary. 🇲🇽
Because cartels are on levels of danger like forest fires. When the color is red they put extra security it Tourist locations I've seen armed military outside for that reason.
The bakery looks very enticing; did not know that place existed. My Tijuana trips are usually for the weekends only, so definitely will need to go there on a Thursday to try them out. Thank you for the gem!!!
La Cacho is my favourite area in TJ and where I stay when in town. I have not been to the bakery or Georgina´s. Yum! Will check it out next time. Indeed the Cesar Salad there is how you make it! Delicious!
Geez see your eyes how delicious the foods is and way you explain the food you interact people to come visit the place to try it. You can be a judge of food contest. ☺️
The bakery part was cool because you ate lot of stuff 😁😁 and then the Caesar salad was like history repeating itself😯. I think you may have not enjoyed the last restaurant because you like taking these huge bites and the portions were so little 😂..just saying because you love eating food 🤭😃🙏
You’re making me hungry. I love to get my car washed in Baja. It’s cheap and they detail your car for $5. Many years ago I had a student who was an original waiter at Cesars who knew Cesar. I love these videos of Tj. 🙏🏽
@@remedyk722 Nope. The full name is Baja California Norte, but in California and specially people who live in TJ but work in San Diego call it Baja. Born and raised in Mexicali, you just say “I am from Baja” and everyone in California knows you mean Baja California. Also dont lie, you know damn well that when even us natives talk about the state we also say “La Baja”/“Baja”
@@ericktellez7632 I can asume that you were not born here in Baja California. You must be from Chiapas or mexico City. Cause the people that truly were born here are offended when people like you just call it baja. It's an insult to the state. Go ahead and ask all those Mexicans that call it Baja if they were born here or where they're parents are from and they're not from Baja California. And the name of the state is Baja California and not Norte the name was officially changed in 1979 That's why I know you're not from here.
Hello again Compadres Gareth🤗It was Nice of you to Take Mamma on her Dream Trip to Kauai Hawaii🍓Aka CharlieB outta Dobbs Ferry N.Y. Along WAVE away but I can Dream of Paradise with ya!
Mexico has amazing dishes full of flavor from the north to the south has different cuisine and all very delicious that is why it's a gastronomic heritage of humanity. 🥇 each state has regional dishes that are very representative of that place and all are amazing ... in addition to that it's prepared with totally natural products we almost don't use canned food.
Looks like some bomb food. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend a restaurant called “Sabor a mi” It’s located in Zona Rio. From now through September (when the season ends) the Chef can give you a detailed explanation of the fine art that goes into making Chiles Rellenos en Nogada. It’s a true Mexican emblematic dish. The work that goes into the dish is meticulous, unique and like no other. Great video!! Have fun in Baja!
