I see a huge future for hybrid electric bicycles but lithium mining is worse than the advantage of that. I did a a extensive a report on a lithium mining which is worth studying. The socio-economic impact and pollution does not justify Cobalt and lithium mining.

You will be tired faster when you work with both your arms and your legs but you won‘t be a lot faster. So for people who just want to work our their arms, it‘s okay, but it‘s not an overall better bike

Some team ran eliptigo bikes in the local race and smashed the 40 mi, esp in the uphills. It’s not aero but it’s got recumbent wheels and the riders stand all the time so they can really leverage those treadle arms.

Danes may well love their bicycles, but the 'self-driving' bicycle was an April Fool's joke from Google Nederland, so maybe saying the Dutch love their cycles would be better...or are the creators of this video too stupid to know that Denmark and the Netherlands are different countries? (They are, of course, two of the best countries for cycle infrastructure.)

The idea of a REMOVABLE Electric motor is great and for winter weather,it could be replaced with a 4 stroke engine (because batteries of ANY type loose significant capacity the colder and colder it is). Selection of fuels could include HHO or Hydrogen (no CO2). The big batteries could be replaced with one small battery for signals, etc. Hey, how about QUADRICYCLES with leaning suspension design, about 3 foot wide, which should be stable on ice, snow mud. 4 mountain bike tires (2 2 inch wide) would do as well for traction as a 'fat-tire' 2 wheeler. The EliptiGo is a great concept for exercise.....is an electric assist version available ? Conventional bicycle seats crush the PROSTATE glands of males, and standing up avoids this problem. The 'Moonsaddle' came on the market 35 years ago, but was made to break. No doubt, it cracked in half, causing the seat stem to ruinate the cyclist's lower spine or rectum, so I never bought one. A few years ago a Kickstarter company was prototyping a small run of stronger Moonsaddle-shaped seats, but their website seemed virused, and they obviously failed. Their design should have Incorporated at least 4 springs to absorb stress on the wide seat, avoiding wobbly breakage. I would have also complimented such a seat with a shock absorbing seat STEM. The more shock absorbtion parts, the longer bicycle components last, and less rider fatigue. Drum and disc brakes should have been standard equipment for DECADES. Obviously, bicycle (tricycle and QUADRICYCLE) technology has been repressed by the petroleum and associated automotive industries.

I noticed that the bicycle in the thumbnail, @9:32, has a crankset (on the wrong side) above the water bottle. If it were to turn in the direction as shown, it would be turning the front wheel in reverse. The chain goes outside the fork, which is (wrong). A wheel with two hubs, No Way Jose, not going to turn, Ever. As others have said, this bicycle is Impossible to operate! The photoshoping is very bad also.
