Happy Cow app is a terrific app to have on your phone if you're veggie or vegan. It's global and has saved us on many occasions. It shows restaurants, supermarkets, shops, bakeries, eateries etc.
Amazingly , Hendersons , which is a real city institution , is the oldest vegetarian restaurant in the UK !!! , the original premises on the corner was there at the very beginning in 1962. In every city over the last 10 years or so , the choices available has increased considerably , but Edinburgh in particular has the 2nd best selection in the UK with almost a thousand vegetarian friendly eateries !. I guess the council limit the size of the hoarding in the city centre as it is easy to walk past and not notice some of them.
Thank you for your video. I'm going to be visiting your beautiful city this summer. I'm traveling with a group of vegans and can't wait to eat at some of these restaurants. Vegan is the future!
I just finished watching your series about the closes of the royal mile. Those videos were quite impressive. I thoroughly enjoyed them. I live in Texas and will never be able to visit your beautiful city, so your videos mean so much to me. And, as you would say "that's lovely." Keep up the good work Tony.
Wow!! Thank you for another great video! I enjoy dishes, with meat or without. Orange and chocolate is my favorite flavor combo. The wonderful plus of hearing someone playing the pipes in the background. How lovely!!!🤩
The coming monday will be a good day for Edinburgh because I'll be back in town 😁 Thanks for this foodie-vlog. Will check some of them out (or at least I'll try). Happy Saturday!
You missed a few of my favourite places but there are a lot to choose from here. Being a big curry fan there are two curry houses, one veggie and one vegan, Kalpna is an old Indian restaurant on St Patrick Square which is veggie and Annakut on Newington Road which is vegan. Harmonium on Henderson Road in Leith is a vegan bar/cafe and most excellent too. Edinburgh by all accounts is one of the 5 best places in the world to be a vegan too!!
Love your videos as always and always so cool to see that you are walking right in the places we walked when we visited this last July 😁 We love all meat and veggie options as well 😄 Do you have a video that you have done a tour of the Church of the Holy Rude/cemetery in depth near Stirling Castle?
Can you do gluten free next? I eat meat, but have to be gluten free and have been thinking about a trip back to Edinburgh in April and would love to know good gluten free haggis and fish and chips would be awesome!
You are the BEST!! Thank you so much for all this info and for taking also in account to add the links to this places. This all go to our special saved library for our trip "Edinburgh 2020" (along with all your videos) :). I think my next step is going to the patron page.
