My aunt used to work for an obscure factory that made salad dressings, mayo, sauces, spice blends, etc... and they would get orders from store brands and big-name brands and just put the labels on the jar for the brands... same product got labeled with several different brands and shipped to be sold in stores at different prices. I always get the bargain brands, you're often just getting the same thing.
I keep telling the folks at Dollar Tree and Wal-Mart they should be sponsoring you! My hubby laughs every time he hears me saying, "Viv (yes I know her like that 😂😂) says to use this!" 😂😅😂
“I can’t go to bed looking like a glazed donut” OMG! I love it when you mock people “Vivian are the active ingredients the same?” Don’t call Grandma a hoarder😂🤣😂🤣 “IM HEALED!”❤❤❤❤❤
most of these "gummy" vitamins have a ton of sugar in them to make them states good. Which means they are NOT good for your immune system> Sugar actually damages the immune system.
MIRACLE WORKER TOILET BOWL STAIN REMOVER: My basement toilet had reddish colored hard water stains FOR YEARS!!! I tried every toilet bowl cleaner/CLR/mold and mildew remover/industrial strength everything and the stains never went away...years later I bought the DOLLAR TREE WIZARD WITH BLEACH toilet bowl cleaner.... It is a thicker gel consistency and I applied it to the toilet bowl and left it to sit for ten minutes before coming back to scrub it....I came back about ten minutes later and there was not even a trace of staining left....I never even touched it with a scrubber brush or anything...the bowl was no word of a lie sparkling clean!!!! After ten years and hundreds of dollars in various cleaning products the $1.25 DOLLAR TREE BLUE BOTTLE "WIZARD WITH BLEACH" TOILET BOWL CLEANER did an incredible job!!!! 10 VIVIAN HEADS haha!!!!
Saaaame🗣 on disability and funds are limited for my bills and my needs so dollar tree and walmart brand are a must. Very few things that i wont buy walmart brand. Im not picky lol 🤷🏻♀️
I've been taking Ashwagandha for over a year now (not the walmart brand). whether or not it's placebo who knows. It has made a difference for me. I noticed things that used to stress me out are not nearly as triggering. My anxiety attacks don't last nearly as long and I can fall asleep better. I'm a fan.
Vivian. Are you talking about the viscosity? How thick the product is? Or the velocity. How quickly something is moving. I think either would be correct Hahahha. Love you!
I'm from Ireland so I've never as much as stepped foot in a Wallmart but i loooove these videos. You're my favourite RU-vidr by far Vivian! Much love!!
Walmart is nothing to write home about. I quit going to them years ago. I go to Target if I need to go to a big box store. They're much more superior to Walmart. It would do the world good if all Walmarts would close down.
@@mandyheart8754 when you have things that you purchase together to get a gift card. Prices are about the same at both stores maybe better at the T store. They don't have car oil for my vehicle though. I have to go to WM for that. My husband prefers WM.
Ohh...you're sooo awesome!!! I miss my home sooo very much!!!! So nice to hear a fellow countryman from my original, beautiful home, whom I miss so very much!!! Thanks for chiming in & letting me remember my real home...you're awesome ❤️
I have to tell you how hard I laughed at the Crest toothpaste! My Closed Captions spelled out "Regular A$$ CRUST" at 11:45 when Vivian said CREST! I'm dead! 😂😂😂
I saw a documentary one time about vitamins and different things like medicines over the counter. The place was in Tarpon Springs and you pay more money for the name brand label! And it's the same product as the generic! Different labels come from the same Factory you're paying for the name! And one time I opened a bottle of generic aspirin and dumped it into the palm of my hand and as I glance down at it I saw the name Bayer Aspirin! Proves my point one of those little aspirins got into my generics!
I'm a great grandma and I love being made fun of by you. You keep me laughing I just wished you did longer videos, girl. Always love me some Vivian Tries no matter what store she is saving us $$$. Thanks Vivian and have a great weekend. 🤣🤣🥰🥰
For some people that have difficulty due to medical conditions with fragrance that they put into shampoos, conditioners, lotions etc. it’s nice that perhaps the knock off type of product doesn’t have as much fragrance. I just wanted to put that in there because with my medical conditions I battle against fragrances smells and they often can make me sick. Some people think that it’s just me stating I don’t like those smells but it’s way up and beyond that and it’s a medical thing. So I just want to post a comment that sometimes keeping the fragrances low in types of items is actually a good thing. Thank you for your videos
Coconut especially is one that will make me instantly wretch. And I mean instantly. Can't eat it. Can't smell it. You might be able to put it raw and unsweetened in a recipe but that smell will put me in a state that's very close to a seizure. "Find the coconut in the body wash" is not a fun game to play.
The Tiger balm, you use a tiny tiny tiny amount, and when you rub it in, it sort of disappears, then after 3-5 min, the heat/cool kicks in. So, you shouldn’t feel greased up, lol
Vivian!! Scent is just added fragrance oil. It's not natural. Just buy some coconut milk fragrance oil and add 3 drops to the whole bottle, then shake well. In fact, you can do that to any bath and body product.
But coconut essential oil to add more fragrance. It is used for soap making as well as candles etc. I found it on Amazon for less than 7 dollars. Just a drop or two would make the Walmart brand shampoo like the name brand and will last for a looooong time. Save those 💵!
I grew up with Tiger Balm. I had terrible muscle spasms and this is what my father would rub into my calves... relief came fairly quickly. So thanks, Vivian: I'll probably try the knock-off - and if it seems as good (i.e. as effective), I'll buy it - and then refill the prettierTiger Balm jar with it when it's empty 😏
Was the aches and pain from 'growing pains'? Most pre-teens and teens have that. Will it help with chronic back pain? I deal with that all day, every day.
I buy EVERYTHING from the Walmart :Equate” brand (the tiger balm & supplement brand) - makeup wipe, Tylenol, toothpaste! All exact dupes Highly Recommend!
I'm always excited to see how you demonstrate products. Love how you showed the cling and the cleaning power for the cleaner in this video. I still think about the brussel sprout/fart spray demo in the past. So clever and creative 😄
I'm totally convinced that Dollar Stores and other knock offs add water to their cleaning products and their liquid laundry detergents. They are soo much thinner than name brands. My husband tells me its my imagination🙄
I totally agree with you. My husband is the same way. I tell him that you get what you pay for. Some things are totally okay as a knock off. But when I buy some things I want the best I can afford
The name brands are always identical.. but yes, your 1.25 kitchen cleaning spray is likely more watered down. Most should work just fine anyway tho. (There’s a reason they are so much cheaper. Different consistency, smaller bottles)
@@amandaterrio4823 to me it’s like anything generic. Some products- you’ll never know the difference. Others you’ll never buy again. Usually it’s the difference of fragrance I can’t deal with. I wish they’d stop putting lavender in everything!! If there’s some I don’t like, I pass them on so someone else can try them instead of pitching them.
Ashwagandha contains chemicals that might help calm the brain, reduce swelling, lower blood pressure, and alter the immune system. Since ashwagandha is traditionally used as an adaptogen, it is used for many conditions related to stress. Adaptogens are believed to help the body resist physical and mental stress.
The very best toliet bowl cleaner is Lysol Lime & Rust. It has a white and black label. It is way better than any other one I've tried. Especially if you have well water. I mix it with water to thin it up some and spray it on my shower and even bathroom sink. Works great.
I have always been that "grandma"--I was buying cases of toilet paper, hand sanitizer, and Lysol wipes WAAAAYYY before the pandemic. Sensodyne doesn't build back minerals. I don't think even a dentist can pull that one off. But it DOES help with sensitive teeth. The brand name shampoo is worth the price. They have a variety of fragrances/list of ingredients, and they're all fabulous.
Actually, some of the 'knock offs' are made for Walmart by the original company. Just like Ace Hardware brand batteries used to be made by Duracell (they may still be, but I don't work for Duracell any longer). And sometimes, the knock offs are better than the brand, but Walmart itself, makes nothing. They contract out for an 'Equate' label. And here is an error with your toilet bowl cleaner - the brand name has blue dye in it so you see it better. The Equate brand is simply clear, but looking at it, it stuck on as well as the other. And who cares as long as it cleans well.
Is the tiger balm from dollar tree called tiger balm? Never knew of this product. Does dollar tree item works just the same? I assume you pay less but with the same/more ounces? Please let me know
Careful what you use on tile. Most toilet bowl cleaners contain acid that will etch the finish. And be triple careful with marble - it’s as porous as unsealed grout. Use hydrogen peroxide on an artist brush or cotton swab to bleach white grout.
I use "the works" from dollar tree. You can get ashwaganda as a tea. I drink it when I can't sleep at night. Love my tiger balm. Use it mostly to relieve my nose and it's a cooler name and I love the packaging. Equate is very meh.
That tiger balm has been around since my great grandmother. lol nothing new. We used to grab these at our asian corner store. They also have nose inhaler’s. This tiger balm is better then any pain relief cream on the market. Pretty cool to see Tiger Balm in major retailers. Doesn’t beat grabbing one from our local elders.
I heard a dentist in a RU-vid video that toothpastes are all the same except for Sensodyne (and their knockoffs). Sensodyne does have an extra ingredient to help with sensitivity. I think the word you were looking for was 'viscosity'. It's the thickness of a liquid.
Love tiger balm!! I’ll have to give the knock off a try. I have used the Clorox clingy one on my grout, don’t remember if I used the green or clear but it didn’t stain and it cleaned it really good, let it sit for a bit, scrubbed with a toothbrush and wiped clean. I wanna smell like coconut all day too😂my fav!! My lotion, lip balm, everything, everything is coconut lol Thanks for sharing!
It's a little strange to me that the coconut smell alone was worth so many Vivian Heads. The quality of the 2 shampoos was closer, in your stated opinion, than some products that received more Heads.
@@Navygirlas36 I get that if it had been a bait and switch on scent, yet this wasn't fragrance-free, it just wasn't as strong a scent as the imported name brand. She gave higher ratings to products that didn't actually do the job, this shampoo did clean hair properly according to her own test.
I use toilet cleaner to clean my kitchen and laundry room tiles. I squirt it on the grout lines, leave it for a few minutes, then use a bristle brush on a broom stick to lightly scrub the grout lines, the dirt just seems to slip off. Then I rinse it off with hot water and lavender scented cleaner and a cap full of Downy beads. My entire first floor smells awesome and the tiles are spotless! Lysol Power toilet cleaner is my favorite followed by the Clorox version.
Hey, Vivian! You make me laugh out loud several times in every one of your videos. You’re so funny!!😂 I LOVE when you crack yourself up!😂 it makes me laugh out loud. Thanks for the laughs, Vivian!😁❤️ Love you!❤️ Great video!👍
One knockoff I always get at Walmart is the benadryl. The benadryl cost like $5 and the Walmart version is 88 cents. Acetaminophen over Tylenol. Always go generic with OTC meds
If you want deep muscle pain relief get Vultaren gel aka diclofenac sodium (generic name) and not smell like grandma. No menthol or any other scent and the stuff totally works. I carry a tube of it in my purse when I go shopping so I can reapply. I love the stuff. If you have insurance get your dr to prescribe it so you pay less. I get 9 tubes of it for $8 every 90 days through my mail order pharmacy. But you can get it OTC too.
I thought u said "this one smells like regular ass crust!" I almost died laughing rewound to hear you say regular ass Crest! . My bad but still your hilarious love you Vivian!
Omg for your number 1 item. When you were talking about the grandma drawer no one could touch. My grandma had one and my cousins and I got curious and we found a secret naked picture of our pap ahaha. Sorry you reminded me of her drawer which smelled like menthol body cream and stale tobacco. Ugh I miss her terribly. Anyway good video!! Heading to Walmart tomorrow morning and I’ll need to look for some of this stuff. 😂
The Toilet bowl cleaner from Wal-Mart may be more watery, but it works the same way. It is also an excellent tub and sink cleaner. Also works great cleaning your front loading washer.!
Toothpaste is one of those things that baffles me how anyone can stomach paying $7-$9 for ONE TUBE when you can literally get toothpaste for almost free if you use coupons. It's wild !
Viscosity means the state of being thick, sticky, and semifluid in consistency. Velocity means the speed of something in a given direction. You were so close!!
I have to use toothpaste for sensitive teeth and it can get expensive if you don't shop around. So far the only one that I really like is the Arm and Hammer sensitive teeth toothpaste. I've tried some of the other ones, but they don't compare to the arm and hammer sensitive toothpaste.
I was out of toilet bowl cleaner I had company coming. I had some liquid cascade someone gave me for my dishwasher I didn't like how it worked in my dishwasher. I tried it in the toilet OMG it is thick it sticks wonderfully! I used what I would for the dishwasher, taking a dry toilet brush to spread it around let it sit for 5 minutes then it was an easy scrub to the whole bowl and I swear for a week my bowl was stain resistant! It is now my go to for the bowl cleaner! Thinking of getting an old toilet bowl cleaner bottle from my sister. Adding a little water 2/3 cleaner 1/3 water to make it a little thinner to be able to come out the bowl cleaner bottle and just refill it with the cascade!
Vivian the reason for the balm and the gummies not looking like the name brand, its because it has to be a bit different to avoid a lawsuit. Seriously, that is why. That is the only reason. Kindest Regards, Aiden Alamo
I like that toy hamburger on your bookshelf in the background. I really love your show and your bright personality. I go for the ''generic'' (off-brands), not gonna pay more for some fancy-shmancy packaging designs.
Tiger Balm is the best! I have used the white and it's okay - you need the original, which is like an orange colour and smells like cloves. A little bit rubbed into sore muscles is heavenly. I keep multiple jars in my personal rugby kit bag and in our club med kit for match days. Dude starts to cramp up mid-match? Toss his a Pickle Juice and run some Tiger Balm on his boo-boo, and he's good for 80 minutes.
Years ago I had to have gum surgery and was told by my dentist to use a water pik with 2 oz of Listerine twice daily and when I saw the Crest toothpaste you reviewed in this video. It's been a little over 20 years since my gum surgery and the reseeding has no longer been an issue. I believe it's more due to the water pik and Listerine use but the Crest toothpaste, which I've been faithfully using for a few years, is a much thicker consistency and seems to coat my teeth much better than regular toothpaste. When I have had to use regular toothpaste, it feels diluted and my mouth doesn't remain fresh feeling as long. While I really enjoy your videos, I must say I was surprised when the only thing you mentioned was price, you never compared the ingredients on both toothpastes as you did the other products. Plus I buy the Crest at Sam's Club and stock up when it's on sale, which it was recently and I paid $18 for a package of 4, 5.2 oz tubes, which is no where near the $8.10 Walmart charges.
Love you, Vivian. You're such fun to watch. But I have to say it. Viscosity. That's the word you wanted. Although, velocity does mean speed, but like for a car. Viscosity is about the thickness/clinginess of a liquid. But we all got what you mean. :)
Oh Vivian please be careful with the brand name shampoo...smells great but it's not a safe choice. Still loved watching the comparison tests!! Prayers & Wishes Lisa Hampton 😃
I had some really bad stains in my toilet and nothing would clean it out. Then I went back to Clorox toilet bowl cleaner and it was like a lucky charm. Got to keep using it
Ashwaghanda Root is also really good for hair growth. I had Covid last year and lost a lot of hair... it was super thin... a friend of my sister's who had also had Covid and lost hair as well... suggested trying Ashwaghanda. I started taking it, and my hair started growing back in like 2 months. My hair has come back in thick and curlier than before!!!!!
Hi Vivian. I take Ashwagandha. Just the hard pill form. You get more that way those gummies hardly have any in them. I get anxiety and this takes the edge off for me.
