Your videos are the reason I was finally able to make my first editorial playlist on Spotify and increase my monthly listeners close to 100k. I had less than 100 monthly listeners a year ago, if you see this, thank you
1. Be on social media 2. Use free tools 3. Learn things yourself 4. Make connections 5. Do not skimp on quality (don't be afraid to pay when necessary)
@@TheSickNeeds yeah, i'm currently working day and night to make money for devices, and stay up late to make music, it's tiring tho but it's fun doing what you love!
@@FloresJack not sure what you have or what you are looking to upgrade to (or if its a vocal mic or to mic instruments)....where I dumped serious money into was my monitors cus thats where decisions are made.....i feel like with everyone on earth getting into recording in 2020 that there are a lot of killer deals on used interfaces now that people are leaving the house more. Some stores warranty used gear so thats an option to look into if you are worried about buying used.
Wise words. 🙏 As a Finnish film legend/entrepreneur once said: if you don't have the big budget to spend, a way to arrive at the desired result is by learning how to do the work of eight people yourself. 💪😎
Really diggin' these tips, mate! As a musician, it's always a juggle between creating and promoting. Speaking of free tools, I recently stumbled upon boost app social. They've got some cool AI writing tools for captions and descriptions which is kind of rad.
‘If you’re beats are trash right now, buy beats’ probably one of the realest quotes on this video and it definitely hits close to home. Thank you. I just want to rap and I let the producer role take over me for a few months. This helps me get back to MY basics. Peace and Blessings King
Really appreciate the note on organic networking! It always seems soul sucking to make connections just to promote your work. The people who really bump with you are gonna bump with you regardless! Make genuine connections!! 😃
Bro thank you so much for your content! I've always known music is my passion since my younger days, been writing songs since I was 11 years old, im 29 now, but im just now getting started making beats and wanting to be a music producer. Sometimes my own mind tells me Im not going to be good enough, but watching you and your accomplishments is extremely motivating. Your humility and chill vibes is refreshing bro fr fr, keep it that way. Thank you!
I'm in a similar boat, been writing music for over a decade but I've been afraid to really put myself out there and get the world to hear it. Just starting out this promotion stuff, I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing but I'm excited to see where it goes!
My first time watching your video and I was very impressed. I'm from old school and didn't want to have anything to do with social media but I now understand how important it is to promote my music. I really just got started and have almost 400 subscribers and I don't know how that happened, but now with this knowledge who knows what I can accomplish. Thanks so much for sharing.
@@LDreTheGiant The Dumb thing gets to me i write but lyrics are bad horrible like i want to be like Real Artist my speech is bad my favorite classic old school 😐 lil jon ice cube Other my favorite listen to them all day
Now that your goal has been reached you have a peace of mind to *actually* know your true purpose. L.Dre just gave you the biggest gift you could have received.
i feel like this needs to be in perspective of all kinds of artists, it’s easy to make a video for social media when you’re making a type beat. But if i’m a recording artist and i make a song with someone else’s beat then to make an interesting video you would have to dance or do something amazing with your song in the background.
this video is a blessing man, even 2 years later, you’re still educating young musicians, such as myself, to keep going and show them this stuff. Love it, Chef 🤟🏻

7 months later and it still helped me a lot I just started actually releasing my music after making it for a few years, I’m only 18 but I got my first music video on the way and you gave me the tools I need to make this a hit I can feel this going viral Goodlooks bro💯
This was a great video. Thank you. I’ve been having trouble getting audience with my music so this was really helpful. The discord def helps too for connecting with others.
I am new to your and I love all the sounds. My son requested me to follow you. I do a lot of things, but I always come back to my first love and that is my music. I just finished my second song and I believe it's going to go viral. Thank you for your transparency and for the great information. I just turned 66 and there is no limit to how high you can go if you believe in yourself.
Hey man we never talked before but I used see you around vapa. It's really cool to see you doing well now and I'm really enjoy the content. Definitely going to use these tips!
the quality thing is really important. if you're unsure about your composing skills for beats/melodies. you can always record or produce a sketch and ask others for help to improve.
Ayy bro, I've been doing everything too for few years but haven't seen much progress since so I made a single about that "Hope is a dangerous thing" available everywhere and on my channel. I love your videos and you've inspired me to be as independent as possible, Thankyou for that 🙏🏼🧡
This is such great advice. I relieved so many burdens on myself when I started taking studios and producers to record vocals, because I do not have a skill or equipment to do so. Learning how to do that when I’m already, so skilled instrumental stuff would have been a waste of my time when I can just delegate.
you're the man. You are such an inspiration and overall a cool dude. Hope you continue those kinda videos, because those help me, and I´m sure many other producers, a lot. stay wavey peace
really cool stuff you're doing, I'm still in the very early beginning stages of making and releasing my own music. You're a big inspiration to me and I hope to make it as big as you indipendantly one day
Good advice! The hard part is choosing what to do, there is too much choice and it makes my head spin thinking about multitasking all this stuff. My advice? Meditate.
Thanks so much for your video, I am in the process of learning. My goal is to promote music talent. This is the first video I have listened to on RU-vid on this subject. In the first few minutes I learned a lot, and for me it is important to know what I do know, and what I do not know. I realized for me I will have to reach out to others that understand social media more than me. I am off to a great start due to you kind words. You are an impressive young man.
Dude… what u said about TikTok is so true man. People’s egos baffle me man. I know toooo many people “cmon man TikTok ?” Like suit yourself bro but I’m out here getting viral, every video is a chance to being a step closer to where I want to be in life.
Awesome tips! I just put my first song on social media, and it officially releases in October! I was hesitant to join Twitter, but I did because of you. :)
I just watched a video from a different guy with a title similar to yours. His advice? Just be more resourceful. No tips, no actionable items, nothing of value whatsoever, like he just wanted more minutes on RU-vid... Your video tho... This is extremely helpful and well thought out! Some of it was like, "of yeah, duh, i need to do that..." but i needed to hear it. Thank you, man! You rock! ✌🏼❤️🤘🏼
Really really love your content and your music man. I'm a singer/songwriter/top liner. I have written many songs that got placed on TV. I just really wanted to work and collaborate with you. Love your vibe. Appreciated what you're doing. Peace!
Hi. This was a very interesting and informative video. Thank you for sharing it with your listeners. I stumbled on you video by accident on RU-vid. I will continue to follow you. I wish you continued success with all of your musical endeavors. Thanks again for sharing your time and knowledge. Have a wonderful day and weekend.
Thank you. I was already self conscious, but damn, now I'm even more. Great tips. I need to apply them in my madness. You are a positive beam of consciousness. Thank you.
Hey L Dre I love the ideas you put in this video about promoting your music. I wanted to hire a music promotion company to help promote my music alongside using these strategies to promote my music. What companies would you recommend?
I cant wrap my head around starting a tik tok. The videos on there make my brain so numb. But maybe the people ive seen looking at it are looking at the wrong videos
