I ABSOLUTELY needed this topic going into 2019. 2018 has been a stressful year and I realized towards the end that being so stressed out is no way to live. Thanks for the tips, I'm going to work on these tips (especially the journaling part!), and I'm excited to see if 2019 will be better for me overall. I just discovered your channel this year, as well as your podcast and Listen Money Matters, and after consuming a lot of your content, I feel like I'm wiser and better equipped to pursue my goals and live a better life. Thanks for all you do Thomas, and I hope everyone has a good New Years!

Being a contrarian and keeping a journal are things I do for quite a long time and they work wanders. The idea that we view our future self as a super hero at the beginning made me laugh because I've found myself in that situation millions of times AND I STILL HAVEN'T LEARNED MY LESSON :D Keep up the awesome work Tom!

2018 was one of the most productive years of my life. I’m currently no longer stressed out because I finished my first term at art school around a month ago and have been using all this free time to learn new things such as reading Japanese and playing the guitar. Also spending time on my hobbies such as drawing my own Webcomic, playing video games, and cooking. It wasn’t until I was in this relaxed environment that I realized how important it is to take care of yourself and make time for doing what you enjoy. Along with the importance of putting the deep work into what you’re doing and how it really makes a change on how fast you grow in whatever skill you’re trying to acquire. Thanks for your hard work and your team’s hard work as well. Y’all really made my transition into uni life easier.

I got this tip from one of your videos from years ago :) I have been keeping an accomplishment journal for 2 years now (it's based on resolutions that I want to work on) and it has definitely helped me get more stuff done, see my patterns of procrastination and just generally build my life towards my goals. I have a list I make at the beginning of the year, and then from that list I choose a few to work on every month. At the end of the month I analyze how far I got and see how I could improve. I write notes almost daily (takes less than 5 minutes) and this has reshaped my life completely :) thank you and keep up the awesome work!

I loved the part of stop rushing, that's incredible. I took 2 years off from school, my younger cousin is in the same grade as I'm in. I felt really bad before, but now I know that this was for the best, because these years off made me grow and develop personally and professionally. My mindset, knowledge, self-confidence, social confidence, skills, and faith have all increased. Now I'm ready for university and doing business alongside it to achieve financial freedom and achieve freedom of time so I can give more, be more, and do more. I can live a higher standard of life. But I am super content right now because we can die any day.

Thomas, I'd love to see more health/fitness stuff from you. I think your videos on the subject in the past have been helpful and uplifting without being faux-inspirational self-gratification which I find in a lot of other similar content. Plus I love how you tie it into an overall happy and productive life since how you are physically greatly affects how you perform in other aspects of your life. Keep it up! Love the videos!

The last point about not rushing really resonated with me. I've suffered through that, and its made worse by the fact that I come from an Indian family so taking a step back isn't a part of the deal. I basically rushed into college because I had to keep studying. Well, fast forward two years and I just gave in my drop forms and left the college. It was terrible as my grades dropped, my social isolation and loneliness began to wreck havoc on my mental health and I was in a really, really bad place, where I was actually aware of the fact that I was having suicidal thoughts. In confiding in my mother, she immediately kept me at home and my family and I made a plan forward. I've got a new plan and a new direction now, and a couple of months to relax and work on myself. I will be losing two years of study, but honestly, losing two years is better than giving your life to it.

I just hoped you make out a new video for 2019 and you actually did. That gives to me joy, I don't really know why and I don't really want to. I just appreciate. Stop rushing, I really think that world made us really... Out of our mind. I'm the kind of person who keep thinking about past and future. The method of Journal helped me so much for reducing the stress caused by the past. But the future... I'm already 20 y.o and I saw people of my age with their own buisness, traveling etc. I... Just think that Stop Rushing don't set just as a little title. Maybe you could make a video ? I don't know... So... Bonne année, happy new year 2019 💕

Awesome video! Yep... I remember the one that was starting 2018. I would definitely recommend writing in a journal. It's helped me be more level headed and give myself more credit for the things I do. I often struggle with doing that but keeping a journal has helped me a lot. I even have an audio journal that I'm trying to do every day (usually for about 5-10 minutes) if I think there's a need for it for those who will listen to them when I've left this life. I am excited for 2019 for myself and for your channel! It's been super helpful over the years and has helped me change my life a lot. I still use Evernote and take cold showers lol.

The stop rushing part is something I actually somehow experience with gaming. I'm just not mentally fit to go for long hours of gaming anymore without breaks, and get a bit jealous about people being able to game for long hours, and I keep pushing myself to want to be like I used to be. While games can simply wait. They're there many years from now, so why should I want to play them right now? Taking a break, because of overstimulation (for me personally) is a much more important task, but somehow I keep trying to do things that I could do when I was younger. I'm not that age anymore, and need to accept it. So with that, I need to stop rushing to keep up with a lifestyle I just have grown out of because of age.
