That is sadly the reality of shipping overseas, that's why many people tend to purchase a lot more products so the price of the shipping would be justified. If you plan on getting something under 10$ aka maybe something for your personal use, I would suggest just DIY them or get it custom made in your country. Shipping will cost you less, but the price itself might be higher.
