1 chest rig instead of plate carrier 2 water 3 dress for the weather 4 combat boots 5 lose the helmet??? head shots hurt so do low branches. prob better to change to a more vented lighter helmet. 6 bug spray and sun screen. insect repellant bands on the rifle and wrists keep it up. you are the thinking man of airsoft
For the summer, I go from a more milsim/impression oriented kit to a more PMC oriented one. So for example, I'll go from my 1990s US Army pseudo impression to a Hawaiian shirt and combat pants with a chest rig or plat carrier, and a baseball cap.
I've been looking into bumb caps for baseball style hats. It's a hard hat insert essentially to protect your head from a bb to a brick, but gives you the breathability of a ball cap
Condor recon chest rig has snaps that configure with a condor camelback, you just replace the stock straps in the back with the pack. Looks pretty sleek and not cumbersome like other setups. I have a condor chest rig simply because of this video actually.
A lot of people hate on Condor and honestly they make great gear for beginners in airsoft or the occasional player. The 1st year I played I too ran a Condor chest rig and sometimes the bladder attachment, and it held up fine still have it to loan out to friends. The only reason I stopped wearing it is I wanted to go for a Russian look so now I wear either a Smersh or Jaeger chest rig. I highly recommend Condor for beginning players, they are cheap, decent quality, and do the job. I have a tan Condor chest rig I took some brown spray paint to and put random shapes on to help break up my pattern and it made me nearly invisible. Don't be afraid to camo paint your guns and gear, the value of camouflage is often over looked in airsoft.
high speed low drag loadouts. ditch the plate carrier, go with a harness and battlebelt rig, use drop leg panels for lightweight gear like pistol mags so you have real estate for your primary mags. This is in particular for DMR rigs where you are carrying heavy mags for GBBRs. Put a hydration pack on your harness, it will also help to keep you cool. Combat shirts arent good for snipers or in instances when you need to go prone or crawling in a forest setting when twigs rocks etc will scrape up your chest.
Change of Socks for the End of the Day or even Socks & Shoes. Nothing is worse then that several hour ride back home with hot sweaty boots on. Having Fresh Clean Socks and maybe some light footwear to haveon the ride home is awesome.
Love the video my team always goes to costco and buy a case or two of water for 4 bucks and put it in a cooler and share we have made alot of new friends this way
I found it remarkable how many people showed up to Bad Blood East this year without any water on their kits. Between mag pouches and my backpack, I ended up carrying eight water bottles to share with the people that didn't bring any (I didn't need them, I had the bladder in my pack.)
I throw a hydration bladder into the pocket on the back of my chest rig as well as boots you need a good pair of hiking socks less likely to get blisters
What I have done for my plate carrier, is just take off my cumberbund. I have a condor plate carrier, and it has the clip straps and it works perfectly!
I just wonder why do people get real helmets for airsoft. Just get a plastic one they work just as good it’s not like the helmet is gonna save your life from fragmentation or a bb
Late reply, but there are a few reason, like if you have a big head, repro helmets don’t fit. I bought a real team Wendy helmet, but just the bump helmet, so it isn’t ballistic rated but it is very protective from branches or doorways or low pipes. Also they are far more comfortable and some people run night vision and you can’t run them very well on knock offs
Here’s some advice stop acting like your a real solider you don’t need any of that stuff your people like to wear playing army is something young boys do if your a man doing it are you really a man
you do know some people young and old enjoy this sport because its a healthier and active alternative to consoles, also there is a thing called freedom you should try and let people have theirs.
Wut lol , camo makes sense when your in the woods and different environments...its called camouflage. Chest rigs and plate carriers alow you to care more equipment that's needed on the field + make items easier to grab instead of fisting everything in your pocket, helmets protect your head- there 100s of videos of people falling off of random objects while playing airsoft. Lmao so stfu because you honestly don't know what you're talking about. Hell even Vets say if your getting a helmet make sure it's not a fake knock off. Ps I carry a first aid kit every time I go, you would honestly be surprised how much people get hurt.
