@@joshuavick887its just not true. There is a reason why titanium is not ised for knives. It just cant hold an edge. I dont even know from where the rumor comes that titanium is hard. Titanium is a kind if aluminim. Yes for aluminim its hardy, but compareable to mild steel.
Tried first one: Approved (My father already taught me so he was proud cause I finally listened to him😄) Tried second one: My father got angry cause destroyed his gloves (was able to see the disappointment for lifetime in his eyes😔) Tried third one: Approved Tried third one: My mother got angry and tried to kill me with her sharpened nails🥲 Tried fifth one: Now working 70 hours per week cause I have to pay my neighbor back the money for his Porsche because I thought the glass on our Audi and BMW wouldn’t be good enough💀 Edit: Sorry for messing up the order
One way , that my ancestors and i use is limestone, make it to a powder and put ita against wood surface and make strawping motion, it is really effective... Well my people have been using it for hundreds of years and we did not have a problem
Thank you!! You saved my life haha I'm renovating a piece of furniture i got as a gift and I'm flat broke so there's no way in Hell I'm gonna be able to buy a knife sharpener. Sending all my love!!!
I sharpend machetes, knives, axes everyday and the best thing i found for machetes is a gator micro zip. Its a hand sander w velcro on the back. I bought silicone carbide sandpaper for it and bc its not a flat solid hard surface it puts a great convex edge on my machetes do to it haveing a more spongy surface and u can run it across ur blade instead of having to run ur blade across it...👌
If it needs complete reprofiling then use 220 then 320,400,600,1000 and then strop. If it is only a little dull start at 4 or 600. If it is sharp and you want it sharper, just strop
I got a switchblade (and by got I mean found and no one claimed) and I don’t have money nor recorded to buy stuff to sharpen said blade bc idk how sharp or how long it’s gunna be sharp for so thanx for this I’ll definitely keep this stuff in mind if I ever need to sharpen it
You did all of those completely wrong 😂 when using leather to hone the blade you don’t pull the blade facing you towards you but turn the blade away from you dragging it along angle of blades edge and repeat the process in reverse for the other side. Same way you would hone an old fashioned straight razor.
