That statement is totally ridiculous about using your ebike too much. They are made to be ridden any company telling you you should only use it x amount of times is making an inferior product. Like a car company telling you only drive 5000 miles a year. Ware and tear is a part of owning any product. Can’t believe Chris said that and wonder if Husqvarna agrees with that statement. 😱
absolutely, i take mine anywhere i can, commute to work (so many more places normal commuters cant go) and this some dirt on the way home. Shotgun Pro with the lil one in front on the weekend, or drop off at kindy, just ride the damn thing. It will cot a lot less to maintain and do more for ya mental heath than relying on a car when you can bike instead. Just make sure you invest in decent locks if ya gonna be leaving it unattended even for a couple of minutes.
2:35 Who does this??? That's a pretty pricey cleaning right there. That Muc Off cleaner is like $21 per bottle and you just dumped half of it in there. I guess when you get it free, you can do whatever you want.
Overuse or misuse? Any 6000$ toy should be used and enjoyed as much as possible! Amortized it! Just maintain it more or less in regard to conditions, distance and time enjoying it!
U talk about being carefull with degreaser and not getting on motor and areas you don't want grease removed, then moments later using high pressure guerney which does exactly that
Hmmm... I wash my bike, hand dry the chain with a disposable shop cloth, lube the chain and wipe off the excess with a fresh shop cloth. Works fine for me, about 1500 miles, cassette and chain are still going strong. I do get the shop to service annually and they probably degrease the chain.
my m1 evolution emtb eats chain and kassett for breakfast it has the TQ120Nm motor plus me. 10.000euro but what a monster of a bike and my commencal emtb shimano 70Nm cant compete in motor power at all, but MUST say you can ride that bike excellent im impressed
That little piece of plastic isn't guarding against any mud. They work ok for wet conditions and keeps the forks clean somewhat. For real muck you have to use full sized set of guards. X-Blades have worked well for me on the wet coast of Canazuela 😉
My ebike motor is noisy in cold weather. Have to stop pedalling to stop it. If I keep the whole bike not just the battery indoors it is fine. It is only a year old. What is going wrong?
Completely wrong about Li-ion batteries and cold tempters. It is actually much better to store the battery cold (if the packs voltage is kept above nominal) but tempters cycling will age the cell's, also, depending on the cell type some do not like to be used below 5-10c, but many newer cells from Samsung Sony etc, are fine even down to -10c if not pulling high amps before they can worm up.
Li-Ion batteries will be bricked by allowing them to go dead flat. Dead indeed. Also dont charge to 100% as that creates conditions for battery degradation. Charge to 60% then top up before the next ride.
I'm on my 3rd chain on my 2nd cassette (XT) and sprocket, usually about 2000 km per chain. Still at less than .75 at present. I'm going to ride this whole drivetrain till something starts acting up and change everything. 👊
@@embn So after 200 miles on my ebike (Haibike Sduro fullseven 5.0). the chain started "jump" when in a smaller cog. i tried everything and finally busted out the chain checker and it showed it at .65 Park Tool CC-2. I was really surprised, I replaced the chain and its back to nice crisp shifting. 200 miles seems crazy?
That bike looks like it was designed by a scooter kid who grew up thinking the kmart bikes were the best, who went through school only meeting other scooter kids and incapable ignorant instructors who think the same, ignorant to anything better, just make it look cool to people who don't understand the contexts of the products they hire designers to design.
I mean did you think this video out. That's what people say I don't want to drive my car because I'm destroying it. Of course you're going to wear it out if you're using it that's the whole point. This video is rubbish.
We need to save the resources to make batteries for the people who need the assistance. I won't use an electric wheelchair if I can walk. I can also ride up any hill with a normal bike even if it takes longer. What is the rush? Why are we destroying the planet for lithium ion batteries that are not easy to recycle? It's foolish behavior and I can only excuse the people using electric scooters or wheelchairs if they can not do it any other way If people are interested in climate change they should see this as a problem but they don't. They only think about going uphill faster. The truth is you can get faster by practicing.
