I am a little confused. Aren’t we supposed feed a minimum of every four hours? I was under impression we aren’t supposed to allow our babies to sleep through more than 4 hours without feeding.
I was told the same by my doctor. My baby could sleep 4 hours since she was 3 weeks, but I never allowed her because I was told to feed her every 3 hours...
I watched a newborn class and the pediatrician said you only wake your baby up to eat every 3 hrs during their first 2 weeks of life. After 2 weeks, you never wake up a sleeping baby.
Every baby is so different! Some babes sleep for very short amounts of time, and others sleep sooooo long. Four hours a night at 3 weeks of age is actually GREAT!
New mama here- my baby is 3 weeks and waking up every 2-3 hours for feeds still.. is there a certain time I should be putting her to bed? And during the night, if she is still sleeping and not waking up yet, should I not wake her up to feed at 3 hours and just let her sleep until she wakes up to eat?? Thanks for the video and help 🙏🏽
I LOVE that activity center. My 1st had that, loved it. 2nd baby we did montessori route. He had zero interest in my very expensive one lol. 3rd baby i got that same mat and she loves it😊
Hi! First time mom here, wondering if you unswaddle baby to dream feed? Also how do you know when to switch sides during dream feed and when to stop feeding? My baby likes to eat too much and then spit up for the next hour whenever laid on their back. Thank you for these videos and comments!
Any insights om bottle feeding? My baby is currently 5 weeks and just feed sporadically. He usually has 5 big feeds (5oz milk) and then still gets hungry but doesn't finish his bottles. :/ am I doimg something wrong?
How about the baby acne? Every baby I had developed it and so does our 4 1/2 week old. Why does this happen. I’m wondering if I need to eliminate more foods. I’m already gluten and dairy free.
Possibly, but it can also just be a very natural progression of hormonal balance in baby during the postpartum! You can soothe it with breast milk, but it usually clears up on it's own within a few weeks.
Hi, is the idea of not burping baby during dream feeding a concern? As I always think to burp her to avoid her pain later on, but also don't wanna wake her sleep... 😅 First time dad asking!
You should be able to still gently burp babe during a dream feed! Even if you just sit her up and pat her back, if she’s relaxed and settled it shouldn’t wake her enough to be a problem!
