German here. We bought a used Micra K12 as a second car in 2018 (a model from the last year of production in 2010). Visually, the car still looks like new after 14 years. The only repairs or replacement of wear parts so far have been the replacement of brake discs, brake pads (front) and a new exhaust. It is not a luxury car, but if you are looking for something reliable, small and don't want to spend a lot of money, I can recommend a Nissan Micra K12 without hesitation. If possible, look for a model that was built after 2007, as models built before that may have problems with the timing chain in the engine. This problem has been eliminated on models built after 2007.

It is an honest review as it has, on the whole, been a good car but it has gone wrong with the issues that I had mentioned so if you are considering a Nissan Micra then it would be worth keeping some money aside just in case.
