Pretty much wrong info everywhere! Why dont you add the forex fee if transacted through a credit card? Also cash when converted from inr to usd, there is a difference in amount and again when converted usd to vnd. Trust me the price will go around 7-10% higher.

Thank you for your comment. Point taken about the charges but price won’t go 7-10% higher. Try using RBL Bank World Safari Credit card, NO forex charges. Other credit cards- approx 3.5% forex charge if not 2% .

@@DrNishantVlogs Only if transacted using a forex card or a 0 forex fee credit card. Most people might not know that. Also the cash point is correct imo, you can try and convert that and see if the price is minimum 7% higher.

Do they accept Vietnamese dong through exchange of us dollar or Indian rupees? And which is better conversion, from Indian rupee to Vietnamese dong or USD to Vietnam dong?

And is using debit card of hdfc for International swiping better to buy I phones? If not will the banks give us money in exchange? What's the best option to buy through which payment?

Banks may charge foreign currency transaction fee ! However, some debit or credit cards have 0% markup on foreign transactions, check eBay see the charges on your card. Otherwise, if you have USD , you can change it for VND there and pay them cash. They give good conversion rates near Ben Thah market in Ho Chi Minh City.

Thanks a lot for the reply, one last question, will they accept full cash settlement in Vietnam dong? And if I open the box to check the authenticity before the tax refund counter will the vat be refunded for open box? @@DrNishantVlogs

@@arunmp3652 you won’t be able to claim VAT if you opened the box. However, the shop will advise that you make a video when you are opening the box and if there was any issue, they replace the phone.
