My fav part of the proficiency test is being asked what type of monster the Blue Eyes White Dragon is, and then being asked what the name of the 7th moon is on the planet the Worms came from in 830BC.
@@manjackson2772 oh i don't play that one, i play the one that has the duel academy dorm, and one of the requirement to become obelix blue student is to clear the high level duel puzzle which is really hard
master duel really do be like: what is thy name? what is thy quest? what... is the top air speed of an unladen swallow? what is your favourite colour? what colour is the sky? what....... commercial by-product do you get when you combine sodium and chlorine?
Honest answer is probably because while the person is doing the first prof test, they more than likely only have the Rescue Rabbit mate so it's right there
Bro when I got hit by the first question "what is the name of this card?" And it showed some green pot with a smiling face that looked greedy, I already know I'm not passing this proficiency test
No joke, two questions I got back to back were "name this card (Celtic Guardian)" followed by "if you summon Destrudo by targeting a Level 4 monster, what level does Destrudo become?"
Even if the questions can be very weird, I do like how some are different from person to person so it's not like everyone had the same exact set of questions at the same exact time.
I find it funny that people talk about how bad Snowl is, but it is okay especially when Empen is at 1 and a good amount of the deck and the consistency tools in master duel are restricted.
It was the definition of win more when Empen was unlimited, now is just playable, specially since the top decks need their monsters in face up position.
The Proficiency tests are a bit disappointing. It’s a good idea to have something like this to help new players learn what common staples do or how certain cards interact in specific board states. It’s just they throw in questions like “what is the flavor text on The Dyrdek?” or “in the 5th panel of the world legacy solo mode story gate, what’s the attack of the monster on screen?” Things that experienced players won’t know because they serve no practical purpose. There have been several times where I look a question and think “I have played this game for over a year and I have literally never seen this card in my life, why is this a question?”
I struggled to get the tribute summon one done. I don't have a deck that consistently tributes, and that made for My third tribute summon since Master Duel came out.
For that i used macro monarch. Iwas able to tribute 3 times then lost but jokes on my opponent, i passed the practicals lmao Also for the ritual you can make a cheap one that rituals more than enough to finish the practical in Megaliths and almost all of their monsters are rare and lower. For the pedulum maybe you can use metalfoes, that might be cheap. One of my pet decks is solfachords so didn't struggle with the pendulum one at all.
@@timsuu8991 Oh yeah, one of my favorite decks is megalith drytron so I didn't have a problem ritual summoning, but pendulum is a different story. At least I've been looking for an excuse to finally use the royal rare electrumite+astrograph
@@258thHiGuy you defo wanna go metalfoes then, the deck is not too hard for a pend deck, and is dirt cheap. If you have a bit more money tho, pend sorcs are really fun to learn tbh, but maybe thats my pend player copium during kash format talking
Honestly when I first started the deck, I was always afraid my Quickplays would get chain blocked, now after 40 days of that not happening once, I’ve forgotten that’s possible and am trying to think of recently I could have done that to the opponents purrelys…..
These proficiency questions are really just Monty Python's Holy Grail's Bridge of Death difficulty. What is your name? What is your favorite color? What is the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow?
after seeing the full reward list, I'm just gonna get the Spell Card mate base and check out. They cannot make me complete 10 levels of this for a Bicycle and a new title
For the later Duel requirement where you need to Pendulum Summon, I didn't feel like making a deck, so I took the starter structure deck into Master Rank....AND WON THREE FUCKING DUELS because people couldn't handle going second or bricked going first.
I've seen so many people waste an imperm, raigeki,or an ash on a sleepy draw with noir. Its one of the best decks they probably see it often and yet somehow haven't read the very first line of text on the card.
Floo is actually a pretty interesting deck without 10 trillion floodgates, or an obnoxious Simorgh Barrier Statue combo. I do wish it had more pieces MD. One of Floo’s strengths seemed its consistency, and hitting the field spell with the Pot hits on top did a number on the poor deck. It’s quite a fun midrangey control deck, I like the inevitability it has in the grind game with Raiza loops late game.
In hindsight, a MD Profiency Test *should* be about MD content, including Solo Mode, right? Though if you play on mobile or console, noticing it's a transponder around a rabbit's neck is much harder because of the smaller screens.
@mrbubbles6468 I said that part because I think many of us thought the quiz would be on actual dueling and card knowledge. @luminous3558 Their translations do cause me anguish, yes. 🫠
@snes90 tbh I play two psi beast as well but the bigger issue is I need a hand that can do something and normal in the same turn, which is not always easy.
I love that Floo is still considered toxic after the barrier statue got banned because Harpies Feather Storm and Dimension shifter are still in the game, and not because Floo has the ability to play in both players turn and has a solid resource loop. Is almost like this game would be better without the floodgates.
@@Ragnarok540bro, they have consistent access to card that takes away your next draw phase, and one sided book of eclipses just your side of the field for free. The deck is toxic. I would play it more, have had like 27 game win streaks with it. But I get so tired of clicking the buttons.. Joseph is right, the UI makes it tedious….same with purrely.
I had a plan for the Tribute Summon one. Photon sanctuary make sure galaxy eyes was in my hand hard tribute, galaxy eyes, and then just throw the game because I am not sitting through that again. I was very happy. No one ashed me. Now I’m little bricked wall. Now destroy cards. Me who mostly plays decks who banish for removal, ABC and branded. It’s at this point I’m hoping that Miraji doesn’t get negated or I can just bead over things and of course, hoping nobody just surrenders when I’m trying to set up the board to do said destruction
I pitched this idea for TWITTER THREAD but MBT didn't do it this week: Anime cards better IRL (I.E Dark Guardian, Macro Cosmos, Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon etc). We have to spam harder.
I got stuck on the spell and trap one because it’s not acknowledging that I’m activating trap cards. I made an entire trap deck just to do it, activated so many traps and it just won’t tick off that I’ve activated any.
What's MBT drinking btw? It looks like mate, but for some reason my brain doesn't seem to think it possible for some american twink to be drinking my country's drink of choice
My first question was what is the name of maxx "c". Here i thought there was an agenda, and it was just a random card selected for the question. #banmaxxc
