Same for me. Last night was funny. I suddenly realized it was 11:30 and asked myself "why did I spend over an hour watching videos made by a former mob boss?" 😁 He is an interesting person to watch and I feel he is NOT exaggerating or making stuff up for views. Why would he? He already spent decades in "the Life" and left it.
“Things in life that matter, they usually come with a challenge, a struggle but if you can overcome that you’re in pretty good shape.” So inspirational and encouraging. Thanks Michael
Mr. Franzese is a real one for not naming the other living mob bosses on that list. Shows he really did believe in that life and not betraying its codes
Rather the mafia over these new street gangs running wild in the streets & controlling prison by there sheer numbers , MS-13 , trinitarios , take the Mafia all day long over these. Areas that were controlled by the mafia years ago were in a lot better shape , not saying they was perfect but these areas were free from street vermin running around reeking havoc for the average person, drug dealing wasn’t all out on the street , drug fiends roaming around looking to mug / steal. I’ve spoken to people who lived in these neighbourhoods and they wish things could go back to how they were when the wise guys were running things.
Glad you addressed the comments from the last video. So refreshing. I figured you kept saying Brooklyn because that's where you're from, and that's where compare it to in your mind.
I love his question on “how do you rank them- we didn’t give tax returns”. It’s basically like saying “the top 50 guitar players of all time”. Let’s face it. He was the center of the article because of how young he was, how successful his scheme was and he was second generation due to his dad being underboss. It made it “ sensational” and sold more magazines. Just like Jason Bingham. Great drummer- but also makes for great drama and magazine sales because his dad was a legend as well.
@@questionmark1152 haha haha! When I hit “enter” and re read after posting- I said the exact same thing!!!! 🙈. I was like “oh yeah that will get some wild replies😂😂😂😂
“Don the jeweler “ and Michael sit down??!!! Oh man can’t wait! I met Joe Pistone when I lived in Las Vegas at a coffee place book signing inside Mandalay Bay hotel. His book Unfinished Business was out & he signed it along with my softcover of the first book. He was very nice, it was awesome!!..Great videos Michael, we all love the content and wish you and your family many blessings......Stay safe everyone and God bless 🙏🏻
You are a great man for doing what you are doing Mr. Franzese!!! Through all you have been through, you are such a honest, humbled man with a huge heart. God has left you on this earth for a real purpose and though I cannot, nor would not speak for the man upstairs, you are not disappointing him. Congrats on the rapid growth of your channel, it is well deserved, and blessings to you and yours. Thank you so much for all of the great content.
@@garygetty2636 you obviously haven't listened to how he talks about that life now hey? How he goes to prisons and schools to warn and turn people away from that lifestyle. I mean your government does the EXACT thing you just described to you everyday and has actually enlisted tjr help of the Mafia in the past so....... 🤷🏾♂️.
I need to hear this mans story on a joe Rogan episode, I’ve watched every interview he’s done up to this point but Joe has a way of getting an entirely different type of conversation, that’d be one of his best to date we need it!!!!
Michael, I’m from Philly and I remember in the 70’s and 80’s all the murder and mayhem that took place. The Scarfos, Stanfas , Merlinos , including the Black Mafia and them dropping bodies all over Philly, that my now deceased dad telling me how that life ain’t sh@t, and go to school and get a good education. I’ll never forget about how he told me to stay off the streets cause it doesn’t care about you. I’m very proud to say , I took his advice as I’m equally proud of how you turned your life around. God bless you 🙏🏽
@@lordsysop I think Michael would disagree with you. He's stated many times God pretty much saved his life and changed him completely. That's coming from a man who never believed in any god.
@@IAmProdAG people who get lucky thank god. People in the kids cancer ward not so much. If there is a god he ain't helping you with your soccer game. And he didn't bless you living in a 1st world country and ignore all those kids dying across in poor nations. If anything we are gods painting and he ain't picking favourites.
Thanks brother. This one really hit home. I was a gang member/criminal when I was younger. It’s hard but worth it in the end. I still watch my back. That never changes.
Hey Mike another awesome video. Can’t wait for the Donnie Brasco interview. Hey can you tell us about the chin? Any dealings with him? And did he act crazy even around you wise guys? Thanks Mike god bless.
Thank You for speaking about Kuklinski. I asked about him in a much earlier video, and only now just came across this video, so thank you. Please ignore my first post asking about him.
For me, A Bronx Tale was a lot about how asa boy and young man, other father figures in your life are precious and valuable relationships and can teach you much.
I posted this on my facebook but more people will get a kick out of it here lol Best story in the history of TV is James Gandolfini and Federico Castelluccio who played Furio on the Sopranos were attending a Sopranos function and in the greeting room there was a table of food with a huge bowl of spaghetti in the middle of the table. Some extremely drunk fella not associated with the Sopranos walks into the room and staggers over to the table, leans over the food and starts eating the spaghetti right out of the bowl spilling red spaghetti sauce all over his shirt. James Gandolfini and Federico Castelluccio displaying what great guys they are/were ushered away security and helped the drunk guy up to his room. The guy was so drunk he gave them the wrong floor and as they were trying to open his hotel room with the keycard to no avail, a startled man opens up the door and see's James and Federico with this guy with spaghetti sauce all over his neck and shirt and yells "Tony and Furio what are you doing?" lmao
Great story lol Did you know Frankie Valli's real last name is Castelluccio ? I don't think there's any family connection but I thought it ironic lol Both appeared in the Sopranos albeit Federico had a major role vs Frankie's guest appearances. I loved his character in the Sopranos. He was born in Naples but moved here with his parents at age 4. My guess is he spoke Italian before English so he not only had the foreign accent down to a science he could also speak fluent Italian which was a huge plus. I have the box set of the show... I'm a huge fan.:o)
He must have been thinking that Tony & curio were going to whack the guy , thought they might whack him too because he was a potential witness. Funny thinking what must have going through the guys head at the time & how his immediate reaction must have seeing James & confusing him with the character of Tony soprano.
Michael, I just wanted to say American royalty could really be a classic. Please take your time. At least 20 episodes would be needed to pull everything out!!!💪
Not to argue with Mr. Franzese, but his comment about no one gets away with criminal activity these days had me instantly thinking of a long list of politicians.
Some of Bronx Tale was filmed in Queens, Long Island City - at least some of the street scenes were. You could still see the street signs that were changed to 50's - 60's era signs. The Bronx scenes were great because they were actually on City Island when father and son were on his bus taking it to the outdoor restaurant at the end of the island.
Michael, a fellow New Yorker like myself I want to say I love your work I have to correct you Bronx Tale it supposed to resemble Arthur Avenue in the Bronx but the movie was filmed in Astoria Queens
Mike your Vids are always great bro, if I’m watching a movie on TV and I see a brand new video from you pop up, I pause my movie immediately and watch your video. Great stuff man 👍 God bless.
He’s gonna get to a point where there are no more Italian mob movies to review. There’s definitely other gangster movies out there though. American Me is one I think Micheal can probably cover.
Cuzzy this was the wisest lesson if heard so far your words are so true .Today I wake everyday at 430 to go to work to be a productive member of society . Not looking over my shoulder .Mr Micheal thanks for all you do rock on
I read his book in the 90,s and he's not changed his story since then it was amazing back then because it was new to quit the mob and he did it he just left he fell in love and he chose his woman over power and money . At the time I thought wow he's courageous but he did say he never testified and never brought anybody down he just left the mob . He's still here ,👍
The greater the battle, the greater the victory, the greater the reward!! I truly enjoy your program. Have you ever read the book “From Prison to Pulpit”?
Anyone who’s been in combat doesn’t want to talk about ugly things. Especially with those that have never seen it. Don’t take it personal Mr Franzese. It happens all the time. The unknown is fascinating to those who don’t have the context of the actual event(s).
Love all this stories. And i learn more now then i did in school. This is great history lessons. Michael F you are really a great guy. Stay safe take care God Bless you and your family😊
Hi Michael, I understand if you get this question all the time. My question is, what is the most powerful things you could say to discourage men and women from the street life? Also when are you coming back to the UK? Very inspiring sit down, keep up the good work :)
Michael. Id love to see you do a sit down and interview sammy gravano. I can just about guarantee that will be your most popular video. Id like to see different questions asked though. It seems every interview he gets in its the same exact questions every time. I have a bunch of questions i think would be good too for him. And im glad to share them. Great video today as always. Thank you michael.
Great Chanel Michael. Hope you are well Sir. Love the videos ! What a life you have had Michael ! And ur still here ! Good on ya ! Wish you much success and happiness !
15:25 reminds me of something I heard, "video game logic: If there are obstacles in front of you then it means you are going in the right direction" - Unknown.
I'm a retired Parole Agent from Cali and worked at SQ & CYA. Worked for in the system for 30 years. Young folks listen to this guy and listen well! Crime does not pay and you will get busted!
When you say I'm not gonna say their name because they may not want me to. I have to respect that. I'm a retired Marine and my brothers past and present are always considered.... Respect sir...
My favorite RU-vid channel by far. Love Movie Monday Thank You 🙏 Michael. I'm in Canada grew up playing hockey with Pops Papalia's grand son in Hamilton Ontario. And later spent some time in Montreal. The Rizzutos are big there. I'd love to hear your take on the show Bad Blood starring Anthony LaPaglia and Kim Coates. I loved the show. Thanks Michael 😊
Lots would , it’s just a good time because in your innocent mind anything is possible , you’re only responsible for yourself so that carefree attitude where you can do whatever , whenever without being responsible for others. I would fly out to other countries on a whim & sometimes end up staying for months, the crazy adventures and times cannot be replicated with no amount of money.
Maybe this was your original path to up lift an be a guide of life in a positive way.. maybe your prior history was just training till the right moment accord
Some parts of A Bronx tale was filmed in Brooklyn. The scene when they throw the Molotov cocktails into the corner store was filmed in Brooklyn . E15st and gravesend neck rd
I saw a scene from A Bronx Tale being filmed, in Gravesend Brooklyn. Neck Road was used as the locale where the young lady lived, and where the car fire was shot.
Great stuff Michael, I come from Glasgow it's always been a Gang City not on the scale of the Mafia but it always been there, I myself was involved in the Gangs and like yourself met a good Lady who saved me, I did some time like yourself but not as heavy I'm 65 now with 3 kids and 6 Grandkids and I've never had any bother from any of them, keep up the good work.
Hey Michael…..I’m a little late to the dance here. But there were parts of a Bronx Tale that we’re filmed in Brooklyn…namely one of the Bus scenes. It was filmed on Gravsend…and I know because I was there as a young kid and saw Deniro driving the bus. I grew up a few blocks away on Ave X in Sheepshead Bay.
