Hey Joey, what program do you use to edit your videos? I'm curious because It's always top notch. Do you have any tutorial suggestions on how to get proficient with editing?
everybody wake up, new joey carlino vid just dropped edit: I've been needing tip 11 for so long now, every time I tried googling it I couldn't find it 😭thank youuu im saving this video to my assets and inspirations playlist in case i need your wisdom at a later date 🙏
My parents know how much I go to therapy about Blender! How could they!? (Comedic, but blender is actively something I commenly talk about in therapy, because of the panic attacks and perfectionism issues, and the fear it gives me)
Ok so uh I have a complaint, I showed my parents what I have done in blender on a video call using this tutorial… and they told me to get a real job :(
If your Blender project crashes and you haven't saved in a while you can check in your temp folder for one of the autosaves. %temp% in the search bar on windows will navigate you to there.
For tip 11, you really should use the new menu switch. It actually lets you implement a drop down menu in the geo nodes interface where you label each option - no more having to violently scrub through a number index without knowing the options! Literally my favorite addition to blender 4.1. Makes my job 1 billion times easier
True, that's better when you have a limited set of objects and you want them labeled. The method I show is more dynamic because you can use a whole collection but without labels.
holy hell nobonoko is now in blender. great video! very funny! also my mom has had several knee surgeries before this… wtf… stop referencing my mom’s life…
Thank you so much Joey. You know most people would be judgemental and wouldn't actually help me get my parents back but you actually tried to help me and gave me some good tips. Good on you.
8:23 Smooth to surface... I don't want to swear in my comment, but I am quite tempted to swear because I think I've probably lost a thousand hours to modeling and trying to work around smoothing that makes limbs into noodles.
You're the real Blender guru! Honestly, I would've probably quit using Blender by now if it weren't for your videos. You explain everything so clearly and with a nice sense of humor. Thank you so much! P.S. Christopher's tip is spot on
Thanks for tip 17, with an Azerty keyboard, sometime you completely miss keybinds that qwerty users may stumble upon naturally, I promptly remapped this shortcut.
love this video! the added sfx when clicking buttons or dragging sliders makes me mad that we don't get these things in most computer software nowadays
At 11:00, "adding a noise to drive the color ramp" sounds like a pretty convoluted way to word things, probably due to the order in which this node tree is built. and at 11:42 you could also spare yourself the hassle and change the "W" param after making the noise 4D.
