50 Cent & G-Unit had beef with Wu Tang Clan that lasted for over a decade. Today we breakdown the history of 50 Cent and Wu-Tang Clans unspoken beef. Patreon - / johnanthonyhd
@@stixstrumentals8623Yup, and 50 didn't rely on one person like the Wu members did with RZA. I'm a huge Wu fan but too many of them dudes whole career and talents depended on the RZA and they wouldn't have made it without him but yet so many of em complain and hate on RZA for not holding their hands in the booth. 50 grinds hard, we all know this. When it comes to Lyrics, Meth is still the 1 and I'm glad 50 and Meth never beefed.
No one won the beef. Respect both, WU has reached legendary status. Thier show Wu-Tang an American saga. Exposed them to non-rap fans. And made rap fans go back & listen to them again. They are bigger than ever. The city of New York gave them their own day. 50 is now doing more TV/movie projects & not new music. But he's still laughing to the bank.
I love it how the GZA was just a whole caliber of lyrics and metaphors that 50 didn't respond, meth said "if there was beef, i ain't know" giving him the neutral stance, and inspectah deck was just a fly on the wall, not mentioned (personally, other than maybe gza, nobody is gonna best the rebel INS bar for bar)
Love the work!! Forgot a BIG piece of lore tho - Ghostface, Method Man & Raekwon all appeared on screen with 50 in a skit on his short lived show “50 Central” it was referencing the beef 😭😭
No, “how to rob” got him blackballed from the industry. He needs to thank god every day that Eminem liked his mixtape or he would’ve ended up an obscure, washed-up 90s rapper.
@@James-pl5ucthat I agree! If Eminem didn’t reached out to him? He wouldn’t have had a chance! But imagine if 50 had his album out and shit “Power of a Dollar” and met Eminem back then during his second album? You think 50 and Eminem would’ve been like how they are now?
@@91Definite if 50 cent never got shot he probably would have dissed Eminem in hopes for a solid response to add fuel for his second album if Power of a Dollar dropped and sold good. He's one of the smartest rappers when it comes to using beef to sell records. Having the highest selling rapper mention you on a record is always going to be good publicity.
@@chriscardiel3011 Yeah but he could’ve gotten hurt taking shots at Ja Rule. Luckily he was smart enough to apologize cuz they ended doing a movie together called “Half Past Dead” and Kurupt would’ve ended up completely past dead messing with Ja Rule.
Right! Souljaboy definitely made history?! But Souljaboy didn’t aim higher as a artist. He didn’t do anything else groundbreaking after his second album. The third album was probably okay. By that time 2010 era rolled around, from then to 2020 what the fuck was Souljaboy doing? He basically been trolling alot being in social media news doing interviews acting a fool beefing with Chris Brown and Bow Wow. He was talented with maybe production wise? But rapping he wasn’t even mid, he was just fun raps. You know this guy made 10 albums now? After his third album? His music ain’t been doing great! I been around niggas that don’t even play Souljaboy shit neither mention his name in music 😂! Most of the time it was Gucci Mane, Jeezy, T.I., Lil Wayne in high school those were the four guys running rap at that time! Nobody else was running rap like them four! I mean Kanye was still going and Jay-Z and Nas? But those four was on everybody’s mp3, iPod and cellphones
Crushed my soul when I first found out my favorite rapper ever and my favorite rap group ever had beef. I’m glad they were able to settle that shit though because it deadass didn’t seem like it was anything too deep to begin with.
@@mpound97 🤣🤣 50 did more for hip hop what is Gza doing for it 😂😂😂 by with that real Mc talk niggas be mad they be rapping for years & don’t see the shine or success.. tell him to step his shit up 😂
50 stating he was on good terms with Meth is a legit statement. The beef started in the late 90s but if you go see the Break Ups to Make Ups video by meth, 50 is in the background
Exactly! And 50 and Method Man never had any issues! 50 enjoy Method Man music! He wasn’t speaking the 5 percent stuff neither. That’s why 50 fuck with his music 😂! 50 isn’t a man that listen to knowledge which is pretty insane 😂!
"Fuck fame, I shoot a hole ina' 50 cent piece ta test my aim, how dare you call the Gods in vain, not knowin' the seriousness of this and why I came" Masta Killa - One Blood offa' Wu-Tang Clan - "The W" album
@@dogman2772 all I see is gza responding to the crowd & reacting to it. He's capping though saying 50 had no talent. Get rich or die trying is a classic.
Wu Tang is the greatest group of all TIME! As a group they dropped some of the greatest albums of all time and then as individual artists they dropped some of the greatest albums of time! We will never see that again. G-unit isn't in my top 20 of groups. They had one "good" album but they rest weren't that good. Individual they dropped good albums also. I would never call any of it the greatest. 😂
Don't worry. I'm from Nyc and never knew about this. Access to music then wasn't readily available like now. Waiting hours to download a song or finding the right street vendor with the bootlegs was a movie.
Man I never heard that gza diss song but damn! That lil part in the video made me want to hear the rest...say what you want but damn near most of the wu tang is a lyrical problem ...meth was the most popular because he had the swag but he was far from the best lyricist in the Wu & he was my favorite too. I fucked with odb, the Chef, Ghostface & Gza too tho. I think 50 knew better than to reply to a diss coming from gza 😆 🤣
@@Andy-td8eoSoulja was trash. F him. Standards have to be met by the real Emcee's and GZA stepped up at that moment. Sorry man. This is hip hop. Not the garbage y'all want to make it out to be.
When 50 kept calling them dirty it made me think of the funky, smelly, stanky indie fans that don't shower or don't wear deodorant because of "chemicals". 😅😅😅
@@Zzz95His name is stolen his lyrics are sub par to be honest just cadence delivery and passion and harmony on hooks after he was victimized he is smart though like Cassidy they have similar traits to survive without a label just 50 still has a machine behind him That B-Unit skit was hilarious you have to admit 50 had to get it off air
@slimwolf7434 listen I love wu tang but he's not wrong. Gza rhymes are very complex & rae & ghost use so much slang u don't know what they're saying. Ghost admitted to making shit up that made no sense.
18:03 Damn 😂😂😂 "It was at that moment, he knew he fucked up..." For the record= Liquid Swords is one of my top-15 albums, but thus wasn't a good demo from Gza.
Well, 50 became very contemplative and profound after the GZA freestyle, he listened, processed, analyzed, and realized that lyrically he is unable to respond well, - and i fully admire his wisdom and humbleness to NOT resort to violence and mayhem, and to hold his tongue. Overall, it was one of the most peaceful beef resolutions in hip-hop history, with NO party looking defeated. In my opinion though, WTC is an artistic FORCE that will continue to inspire MORE ART for time to come, while 50's talent is a talent of a Men of the Year - he will b gone and forgotten long b4 this century is so.
I listened to and digged both Wu Tang and 50 Cents shit but personally Wu Tang is my favorite of the 2..they the Beatles of Rap that had multiple members go platinum on their own which is bonkers. GZA's Liquid Swords album is in my top 5 all time albums. I just saw GZA do a show in Philly last month and he still has that fire even tho hes an old head these days lol
I think 50 just cracked jokes around this beef and didn't want to take it any further than that, cos it could've gone further ....and further woulda been ugly... Wutang Clan Ain't Nuthin to Fcuk With...
The BEST part lmao "Don't say Tical you fu**in stupid...whats the matter witchu?? WHAT THE FU*K IS YOU TALKIN BOUT?!?". Same😂😂 that boi Tical really been a golden child
@@BlackFaithProductionI do, but it was a very short beef. D12 never even really got to go at Royce, before Royce&Proof squashed it. It was basically just group of friends having a fight. Royce dropped a great disstrack, but you're right, as a beef it wasn't great.
