8:51 Tip 13 is actually such an underrated and probably overlooked tip by anyone. I’m surprised that this was brought up and it’s actually a great tip. If you’re trying to improve, playing and grinding when you know you shouldn’t will probably affect your mentality and performance when playing that I never thought about. Genuinely a good piece of advice not just for playing Fortnite but in general for life as well.
as someone who has been into kovaaks since 2019-2020 its so refreshing to finally hear someone talk about sensitivity correctly within an actual comp fps vid. Great video ❤
your vids are genuinely insane bro, went from peaking at bronze 2 last season to currently being in diamond 2 as i'm writing this and i'm sure i'll push my way into elite soon of course i've been putting in my own effort to get better, but your vids have played a HUGE part in helping me learn so much more about the game and even about my own play style and strengths and weaknesses. much love bro and keep up the good work 🫶
this isn't just the best fortnite guide i've seen, it's one of the best or best guides i've seen, you put so much effort into trying to give your viewers tips on the game, you didn't have to put all that effort but u did, it's great, u also have a lot of useful information and i've never thought about a lot of these things, it's insane.
Thank you so much for sharing this valuable information. It is not a common topic that people talk about, and the aspects you mentioned in the video were very useful. After watching your video, I checked my DPI and realized it was actually 400, not 800 as I had thought. This helped me identify what was causing my low sensitivity - I had 400 DPI and 7 in-game sensitivity. Additionally, the software you mentioned in the video was very helpful, and I have already started using it. One thing you forgot to mention was pre-editing, which is also an important aspect to consider. ps i used Grammar (thats why i sound like a bot)
in dont get what he meant by 4x your sensisitivty i also was playing on 400dip 7-ingame sense but 28 ingame sense with 1600 dpi? way to fast could you help me understand what he meant by 4x
"Finish outside tasks" As a 28 year old rusty gamer this shit hurts my soul. No matter what game I play these thoughts are stuck in my head all the time, even if all my stuff is done
bro thins video is ridiculously good, hes even talking about things that no one else does, like ive never heard a fn content creator/pro tell us about minimising distractions before playing by completing tasks. Hes literally getting us better at not only fortnite but at being a well organised individual when it comes to life. Im hopefully going to get a pc next year if i can get good results in my gcses so ive been doing research on building one because i play on a PS so i know nothing about them, and now i know a lot about the things he was talking about when it came to setting up your PC by tweaking different settings to improve performance. This is also another thing which isnt talked about enough by most content creators, and is another reason as to how good this video really is. im honestly so surprised i wasnt expecting this and i havent even finished the video yet
I have a few common issues in my games: 1) I have bad internet and my ping spikes at random 2) I get a lot of lag 3) I play on console which means I’m fighting opponents who are also on console and have some form of aim assist 4) I agree that if you’re weak, try and do some counter damage to get the other player to back off, however, I’ve had multiple cases where the other player is still weak and will still push me instead or healing which then takes me by surprise and I die. One important tip I’ve learned from pros is strategic awareness near the end game: find high ground to spray at everyone else below or claim a bottom layer to not get focused on, look for 3rd party opportunities, and always stay on front side of zone so you can look back and spray everyone on backside.
Mastering the grid system is HUGE... I've caught so many people off guard by editing on them or coning them from super far away, and it's what many players don't take advantage of
Marren, some research has showed that 1600 onwards has the least input delay, 800 dpi is signicantly inferior when it comes to input lag, so people should infact change to atleast 1600 because there are benefits to it.Of course 800 dpi is better than 400, but 1600 is still better than both and onwards doesnt have a huge difference.
No way bro said I need a new keyboard to get better at fortnite😭. Havnt played since chapter one came back for Og and god damn these kids got even worse than I could ever imagine
You are right about having unique skills. I have (for pros) a very average build and edit skills but my medium and long range aim is way above average along with my strategical thinking which is why my friends call me “The master mind” you have to have a unique skill set to play your way and control the game your way. I do it with my mind and aim. I use my aim to pin players and effectively flank in my own way.
idt people realize this game while being different bc of building is also the same as other br’s. whoevers aim better wins .. dont matter how many edits you can do in 2 sec
Thank you for your videos, they really got me improving so fast, that I went from platinum to elite in just 4 days just by following your tips and tricks! ❤
XMP is just ram speed, you can check it by bringing up task manager and clicking on the "perfomance" then "memory". If the value is lower than the rated speed of your ram then its probably not enabled.
Great vid, I used to play competitively but took a break for two years, the game has changed so much did not know how to place cones over opponents walls I’ll work on that.
i agree on almost everything except one point and its the sensitivity, if u look at stats most pro players are close 48-64 edpi whit very few going far away from that range, so i would recommend a sensibility of that range, event tho for some people its low its proven to work since majority of pros are using that( that would be arround 800dpi 6-8%) edit: you will be suprised how many people have their wireless mouse set up wrong, plugging the wirless usb directly to the back of the pc instead of pc -> cable -> dongle -> wireless usb that is a massive difference that a lot of people dont do
2:30 this is 100% true, I stopped playing the game some time around season 4 chapter 2 and came back for OG, I literally sit on my builds and laugh at how many cones and edits these people do now just to go up two blocks when it literally does nothing if you don't know why you're doing it. I promise you if you just focus on where the other player is no matter how fast they build or edit if you are fully aware of where they are you will always win as long as you can hit your shots. Use cones when they make sense and not to be flashy, no one is impressed with your Sway retakes, play realistically and you'll win more fights than you think. The best tip for anything to doing something well is if you have to think about doing it then you shouldn't be doing it, either practice what you want to do or hone your own playstyle.
also another thing for players with 120+ ping is to play defensively and slowly bc if knowing that the enemy has less ping than you...playing slowly might catch them of guard and give potential opportunities to win the fight and will make you better on lower ping as well.
I Love the process of trying to better yourself whether it's in the gym, video games , financial stuff, social , anything tbh the amount of effort and practice to become the best is the fun part of grinding especially when no one realizes idk that's just me love being the under dog with no talent but hard work maybe I got a little talent idk but one things for sure outworking others is fun
Hey @marrentm I like the bit ab the aim tension thing, I forget the name of the video but it's from a pro aim coach for val and he talks about tension management and how it applies to different aim styles based on ur game, so like jn games like val you would on avg have a higher tension, because they use more clicking and flicky movements, whereas a game like apex or arena shooters you should almost have no tension in the mouse and how it's needed for some actions vs others
If it was West Proter, (I think it was because I watched it when it came out) he was gold on kovaaks and silver in Val for an overwhelming amount of his videos. Just take his videos with a grain of salt.
If I would make a list for why I have died 30 games in a row, I would most likely blame 100 ping and still playing at 50-60 fps (I know I'm not the only one)
Hey I truly loved this video made me understand some things I wasn’t understanding before as well have sum questions that think might be able to be turned into a video you talked about getting good in your own abilities what are those abilities your talking about maybe even show examples like u did when u said timing was one of them
i want to play low meshes but then you cant play save the world unless you restart fortnite which would be a annoying task to do everyday considering I play battle royale and stw every day. i have the same headset, I like it but the wire is too short and its very old so it often disconnects or gets quiet. lots of good tips and thank you but some of it is just pay to win unfortunately
“To have the best aim inside of boxes you have to aim for the middle of the chest” nah fam, to have the best aim simply plug in a controller and let it aim for you.
to save the people who arent so technically minded. IF you have different ram sticks with different size and frequency do NOT run xmp. You will have to manually overclock each stick as activating xmp could cause your system to fail.
marren, genuinely got persuaded by you to turn off edit on release, then do u recommend single or double keybinds, and how would scroll wheel reset work then? Thank you for the awesome content
Over clocking will not reduce your CPU lifespan. It's not a car it has no moving parts. This however is true and only true of you keep it cool. If at some point it isn't cool then yes you will shorten it's lifespan as it will over heat and pop.
the wooting 60HE is a good keyboard option but its really hard to get them while its in stock, so i think a better option thats cheaper and more available would be the Drunkdeer A75 (edit: im pretty sure the drunkdeer is running low on stock or might not even be in stock at the moment but i was just giving out a secondary option)
I’ve noticed by watching your vids in the background while I drive, that your vids are super bass heavy. Makes my damn car shake, just a note. Probably it’s just your voice, but you could always cut some low frequencies.
I bought the lamzu Atlantis mini 4k which u recommend in one video and it’s amazing! Way better than the gpro superlight imo. I see why so many val pros use it
I have my CPU overclocked for about 3 months and I don't see any problem with FPS drops or any overheat from the CPU , from 2.5 to 4.1 , it is a Ryzen 3 4300GE
