I got lucky pre patch when you could reset the outbreak. Much luck to you! I would recommend encountering the Zorua in cave until you find outbreaks.

Funny enough the double Duskull outbreak I found this out! I initially caught all of them and the shiny didn't appear so I reset and battled and found out it changes outcome!
