Well the senator is literally sent to Washington to represent the state so by definition they are going to have to leave. But you are right that they generally have no real ties to their state and are just interested in Federal politics.

Crazy that the VT person didn't know Leahy. Longest serving Senator. Also, some bizarre trivia, despite being one of the bluest states in the country, he's the only Democrat they've ever elected to the Senate (Vermont was the reddest state in the country for well over 100 years)

Kathy Gifford is the lady who used to do the 11:00 hour on the Today show and was a co-host with Regis Philbin on Live with Regis and Kathy Lee. I think that person was thinking of Gabrielle Giffords, No relation that I know of. She was the one who got shot in the face during an assassination attempt a while back.

I think he meant to say Gabbie Giffords, who got shot in the face a few years ago, but I'm not sure if she was a senator. Her husband, Mike Kelly, the astronaut, is campaigning against Mcsally. Kyrsten Sinema became notorious for being bisexual. I literally don't know much about her besides that fact.
@@andypurvis6857 not an assassination attempt. Just a mass shooting in which she was present in her capacity as a US Congresswoman at the time. She had made a remarkable comeback given everything. She remains classy and intelligent. True american hero.

So I've watched like 50 of these videos now and although I have mad respect for the nerd girl who got all the trivia, I gotta say that although some of his answers make me cringe I feel as though 99% of this guy's answers are ON POINT and reflect Wisconsin best LOL... whether he's right or wrong, he's the exact amount of right or wrong for a Wisconsinite in all the perfect and exact ways we'd expect and he's great. And funny. This dude is definitely a Wisconsinite - you couldn't pay someone to learn to be this Wisconsin-ish.

Good lord this is depressing. I’ve lived in 5 states and I always make sure I know who my Senators are! (One of them was Washington and I’m OFFENDED that Washington Dude didn’t know Patty Murray bc she is awesome!!!)
