literally nobody ever: that one lady: “I GoT mY sTrAiNeR” *whips out a grater*. Edit:Can’t believe how rude people in the replies to this are, if you have nothing nice to say just don’t say anything.
Sam Long well, we see that now. We just weren't thinking out of the box enough, i guess lol I never even considered a cheese grater, but damn if she ever found a way. 😅
@@iloveyou-pm4tj You obviously have no idea what you're talking about. According to 2012 farm census data, the total amount of farms owned in the US is 2,227,963 farms. The amount owned by people reporting Spanish, Hispanic, and Latino is a total of 79,807 farms. This makes up .0358% of total farms in America. Farms owned by this minority that are larger than 180 acres is about 16,715 of the 79,807, which is roughly 20%. Farms owned by all other races larger than 180 acres is 67,555 of 2,148,156, making up roughly 31%. We aren't even talking about the fact that many of these people reported in the census are legal US citizens, presumably. All these farms combined make up the majority of the produce used by America. Even with the immigrants being kicked out, I highly doubt that our production will be hindered by such a noticeable amount that America will "starve". Especially with the fact that we can also start importing crops if we needed to supplement. I edited this comment to add that this data can be found with a quick google search of the census, and I'll even site my source here. www.nass.usda.gov/Publications/AgCensus/2012/Full_Report/Volume_1,_Chapter_1_US/st99_1_061_061.pdf
@@minecr4ft1z You need to learn how to read. I said that if you kicked out immigrants who would be your cheap labor force. Did I say that they own the farms? No. Rich white people own the (mega) farms and ranches but immigrants are their employee's working on the fields for a minimum wage.
@@iloveyou-pm4tj I guess it's also useful to be said that the census of unemployment quotes that there are (in thousands) 6,314 people whom are hardcore unemployed (6,314,000), and 5,052 people who are unemployed (5,052,000). The amount of illegal immigrants working farms is estimated to be about 1.2 to 1.75 million individuals. Even if America were to get rid of literally every single illegal immigrant (which at this point is more or less impossible, and that of the corrupt government which would allow anything to get it's way), we still have enough individuals to theoretically tend to and grow crops, which still essentially proves your point invalid. Oh, also, by the way, nice ad homeinem fallacy. It really ties your argument together when you personally attack your opponent.
@@digdig4088 I was thinking that too. Like, everyone's like "wtf", but I'm rlly not surprised. Like, not only did she call a cheese grater a strainer, she then continued to grate a lettuice
It doesn't have any nutritional value. Nutritionists say to feed it to your pet bunnies. It's good on a taco or some nachos, though. I prefer it that way tbh.
Same here. Romaine is overrated imo other than in Caesar salad and boat for veggie cream cheese. Iceberg lettuce cronch on a burger or Asian lettuce wraps 😋 yummee
I think it's a mix of all, the woman with the gratter and the man with the hammer are very suspicious, but I think a lot of them think they are doing right ^^ I mean, I never chop lettuce (in France, we eat lettuce in whole leaves not chopped) so I would do something strange if I'm asked to chop one in front of a camera XD
@@nana.2511 It's the same people because they do a lot of it in one shoot . Or invite people back. I found some of them so flabbergasting as well when I started watching but then a few things I couldn't do showed up and I would have been one of them in those videos. So it's humbled me and reminded me that even though I know most of these things, not everybody does. That's what makes the reactions so funny. When you don't know, but are still asked to try, the outcome can be hilarious to someone who does know how.
I refuse to believe that she just called a cheese grater a strainer Edit: Then she went on to say that she was grating the lettuce when the task was to chop it -
2:11 Me: “yeah, I know how to cut freaking sala- WAIT WHAT ARE THEY- WHY ARE THEY JAMMING THE LETTUCE ON THE TABLE- OHH... WHAT? THIS TAKES OUT THE MIDDLE PART WHAT THE? WHAT THE HELL WHAT else have I been missing out on???“
@@eventlistener2706 "Knives" is a noun, plural of "knife" "Knifes" is a verb - it means "he/she hits somebody with a knife" School - AM I A JOKE TO YOU!?
How do you think McDonald’s makes the lettuce? She’s doing the same thing with what little shredding materials she has. Remember McDonald’s is a big company with better equipment
they still had it in my middle school around 2010.taut us the basics of sewing and how to scramble eggs. at least 50% of the class didn't take anything seriously. even with home ec you would still get people like this.
Almost Evil 665 not really. If it teaches cooking, sewing, cleaning and other life skills equally to all genders and races, then There’s not actually anything wrong with it. The previous problem with home ec historically has been that it was only taught as part of the girl’s school curriculum. Once schools remove that outdated format, there’s nothing wrong with it.
3forte But 'granny' in the blue sweater at 0:12, who said it's either lettuce or cabbage, is old enough to have gone to school when home ec. was pretty much mandatory for all female students.. 🤔
I never eat iceberg so not too familiar with it but smashing the core out never even occurred to me, it seems like it would make it way harder to cut things the size you want.
He explained that leaving the core in helps hold all the leafs together while you're chopping. There's really no actual benefit to smashing the core out, it's not like it's such a struggle to stop cutting once you get to the core.
Missing my favorite option for cutting up a small portion of iceberg lettuce: simply grab 2 or 3 of washed / dried outer leaves (minus the root), roll them into a cigar shape and slice finely.
Radishes for the Resistance Iceberg lettuce has high water content, and it provides some roughage for digestion. No taste, almost zero nutrition, but not totally useless. I prefer romaine, though.
