Just want to mention....in this video...I think the Beehive is a good analogy for the Godhead...and iit is no accident that it is/was how Brihgam Young viewed the Church of Jesus Christ....but the REALITY....is Heavenly Father's One Godhead...is a destined to be a FAMIL"Y of Glorified! Human beings. A TRUE DIVINE FAIMILY is the desire of our Father, nothing other than that! ....Christians "know" this...but they are schizophrenic about it....not really believing that we are of the SAME SPECIES as our Father....and each have the potential to be fully INCORPORATED into the One Godhead..

I've been listening to the non-LDS Christians about the Godhead, or as they call it, the Trinity, and they're obsessed with conflating God the Father with His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. They're so set on wanting strict monotheism that they can't accept the possibility of them being two separate beings otherwise their entire religious view is destroyed. It's so convoluted that they really don't fully understand the Holy Spirit because they don't understand the nature of the Godhead. Another main point I'd like to say, is that if you read through the records for the creeds, they don't take credit for being inspired by the Spirit of God. No. To them it was their declaration of what they wanted God to be. It was their belief they wanted to cement in such that the arguments over the Godhead would cease. The antenicean creed history is full of arguments and disagreements of the nature of God and it's an interesting period of time to study.
Thanks for the organized format. You got to the point right at the beginning which is good so people could follow your message easier. As a child my thought was always, If God and Jesus are the same person, who was Jesus praying to all the time? Himself?
Brother David , Thsnk you for speaking so clearly from the Bible and Joseph Smith's words and the true history of the creeds and how all the confusion started so long ago. You sre a blessing to so many. The concept of the bee hive is so good and proven to be true from so long ago . What a beautiful way to describe the oneness of the Godhead. When I was 12, and a young member of the church, we had a church program for the 12 year old girls that were called Beehives. There were Beehives, Bluebirds, and Seagulls for our 12, 13 and 14th years in our church activity. The boys were at that time in Boy Scouts.
that's was an absolute delight. it is good to see your countenance glow when talking about these things. as of the windows of heaven are opened up and the truth is laid bare before you and you stand in awe of it's beauty and power. the gospel becomes so clear and so knowable and so wonderful to those who have the eyes and ears to behold it. thank you David for your zeal towards heavenly things.
This is great, I loved the evidences you presented that add witness to Joseph Smith’s first vision. Another witness I always think of is that when Christ was baptized, God’s voice was heard out of heaven and the Holy Ghost descended in the form of a dove so all three members of the godhead were present and distinct in this instance.
I think this was one of your very best videos! I like that you wrote it out, touched every point, and had all those wonderful scriptures for us to read and recall. This was excellent!

I believe there was at least one more you were going to address if not two if I remember right at some point. That was great. It's so important to show the utter logic of one in purpose as completely different from one in physical being. It's hard to understand how otherwise intelligent people believe in a Nicean Creed God, say they believe the Bible, but deny the Bible in it's testimony of the True nature of The Godhead.
Satan is the one who does not have a body. That is why he does not want people to believe that God has a body. It is Satan who does not have body, parts or passions. He is incapable of love. He cannot stand to have people believe in a God whose description is different than the description of himself. So it can be known that the Nicene Creed is a description of Satan and is false.

LOVE THIS VIDEO and history of Joseph Smiths vision of the Father and the Son. AMEN! Jesus declared himself as the Son of God. A son or daughter are not within the being of their father. The Holy Spirit came upon Jesus when he was baptized. Jesus, Heavenly Father and the Holy Ghost are ONE in PURPOSE "NOT" in Person.

my question to the evangelicals is how is it that when a rich man asked jesus how he might achieve eternal life jesus never once said simply accept me as your lord and savior? instead he told him to obey all the commandments and when the rich man said he had. jesus gave him yet one more commandment an action he needed to take in order to have eternal life.
As I have studied some of the original arguments I have come to the conclusion that the confusion comes from what is commonly called the error of equivocation. Where a word with multiple definitions is used in different senses in different parts of the argument. When the original argument about whether the Father and Son were of "one substance" or "like substance" the concern was not the 'number' of beings but the 'kind' of beings. For if Jesus was not the same kind of being as God then he could not make us gods.
I love how Rabbi Harold Kushner put it when he spoke once at BYU: "When we say, in your tradition and in mine, that there is only one God, that is not a mathematical statement; it is a moral statement. To affirm that there is one God is not the census report from heaven-we went up to count divine beings and couldn’t come up with more than one. To say that there is only one God is to claim that there is such a thing as right and wrong. If there are many gods, you cannot talk about absolute right and wrong."

The trinity is easily explained: -The Father is Divine Majesty, creator of all things, all power. His Majesty is incomprehensible to us so he conceived of himself the Son so we can know him. -The Son has the glory of the father. But he is a more limited form. He is embodiment and physical form of God. He is the Word of God. -the Holy Spirit is the Work of the father.
I heard a scholar have a little bit different take on the creeds. He said he thought the "one being" is not the same as "one person". In his view the "one being" meant all the same TYPE of being. So in his view, he thought it means Heavenly Father, Jesus , and the Holy Ghost are one TYPE of being, but not the same persons. Based on this video, it doesn't seem to have been David's understanding during his experience with the creeds. Well, that view (being = type of being) is a bit closer to our doctrine, but it doesn't take care of being unknowable, incarnate, insubstantial, and all the other issues with them.
Hi David, thankyou for your answers about the God head. It really does make sense to me. God the Father Jesus Christ The Holy Ghost Three separate beings... Now, I have a question for you...we have established the God head, now, my question is this. Who else is there ? in this existence of our heavenly fathers realm. I believe it is his son's and daughters and obviously our heavenly mother. And that's it, no one else. Yes, there is lucifer and his followers that rejected heavenly fathers plan. They are sons and daughters too. So the question remains...who else is there?
Wish I could send you a pic. When you came on you had the same shirt I have on. I'm 80 and feeling I have lived my life for naught. Raised in a foster home since age two. Lost them at almost 18. Joined The Church at 25. Had been sent to a Church a Congregational one. Did. Associated with them. Didn't like Nicean Creed. Determined to just be a good person.Went on mission at age 25. Served honorable. Md. In Temple 3 kids later divorce and heart attack. Now 38 years with a new wife. And maybe another divorce. Dementia!
