Grew up in Sydney, then lived mainly in regional centres - Mudgee, Dubbo, Canberra (yes, I'd call that regional), and then finally Geelong since 1995 although I did have a couple of years in Williamstown 2002-2004. Great to be back in Melbourne! Love this city. xxx

Ha Matilda! A friend was studying in the 'bool the last couple of years at the hospital so had occasion to visit a few times. That's a windy spot but lovely city! A good friend of mine lives in Preston St, off Packo in Geelong West, the other side to you. Love Packo for cafes and shopping and so handy to city. You're just on the outer if you don't follow the cats, which I didn't! xx

LOL! Glad I'm not the only one. 3yrs ago when we had our last family holiday up at the Sunshine Coast I swear I tried on every pair of bathers in a boutique swimwear shop in Mooloolaba. My Bec was disgusted when I walked out with nothing! I just hoped that 'something' would suit without me looking obviously middle aged! Nope. No waistline anymore is just not a good look in swimwear!

That's ironic because I'm Melbourne raised, spent years in Warrnambool and find myself in geelong west between packington st and shannon ave now

Ha, I've heard Vancouver has the best of everything. It always vies with Melbourne as the world's most liveable city! Reason I may prefer East Coast is for travel opportunities down to the US. I've also got friends in Halifax and its definitely the snow experience I would want to have. A year or two would probably be enough! LOL

I'm still going. Had it trimmed a couple of weeks ago just at the base to allow the top layers to catch up. I've come close a couple of times to giving in but I'm persevering. Not sure it will suit me but I'll give it a try.....they say change is as good as a holiday! xxx Jo

I can't stand wearing a one piece, so now I wear a bikini with board shorts & a rashie for sun protection. Lots of teenage girls wear the boardies & rash shirts now so they don't loose their bikini on slides & stuff. I wont go on slides anymore. I had absolutely no idea how shock could affect people either, I've heard about it & even meet people whose hair or patches of hair turned white, but didn't fully understand the impact till I experienced it either, hope your feeling well :)♥

Did go well but surgeon says I'll be back much sooner rather than the avg 10yrs most ppl get. I'm just so happy it wasn't near as bad as what I'd heard. The one bugger is my sense of smell hasn't returned but she warned me that may happen. Puffy eyes are worse due to lack of sleep and don't know why but I can breathe and I'm so grateful. The rest will sort itself out in due course. xxx

It isn't as bad as I thought it would be but I guess its been so bad for so long I had become accustomed to pain, pressure and not breathing properly. Face is still really puffy and my eyes feel as though they're popping and headache isn't great but I'm on a slow release pain killer constantly and will be for around 2 weeks. It all helps to know that each day is a little better and all will be great real soon! Yay. xxx
