Anyway us all being a bit pedantic over a few weeks here or there doesn’t distract from a brilliant piece of montage & mixing from the BEST year we ever had in music VERY WELL DONE . The 1979 is equally as good too you must make more years 1965 -85’ were the best IMO , what about a few Genre specific ones , New Romantic, Synth Pop , Glam Rock , Motown ,Northern Soul or Jazz Funk etc Have a look at my Spotify profile if you use ! I’ve over 200k tracks in my own personal music library , I’ve digitised & ripped all my CD’s & Vinyl painstakingly , plus the 10m’s of thousands of tracks I’ve acquired online ... I’ve now every Top album of Note , every ever UK & US chart hit & Billboard Hot100 since the early fifties , 12” extended ,remixes rarities of them too etc etc all in varying digitally formats. Hi. I love your work. By any chance, would I be able to buy/take a high-resolution copy of the audio (cd quality or higher)? I’d love to hear every little detail but the audio quality on RU-vid is not great
I'm really loving these, I just wish you wouldn't limit yourself to 3 minutes. Just as you finish building the groove you're already on to building the next one. Let it ride for a little bit.
Year I was born! w00t! Also, did some math (again)... (50 x 10) + (60 x 10) + (50 x 5) + (75 x 5) 80s + 90s + 2nd half of 70s + 1st half of 2000s = 500 + 600 + 250 + 375 (plus a few extras) That's over 1,725 songs!! Imagine, that many songs in... (3 x 10) + (3.5 x 10) + (3 x 5) + (4 x 5) 30+35+15+20 ...100 minutes!!!

Someone, please tell me the mixture of the songs from 1:03 - 1:07. I knew them from somewhere, but I don't know where they come from. But other than that, it is a piece of art. Respect!
late reply, sorry.. but there's just a bit of George Benson's "Give Me the Night" mixed in there... then the 2nd part has the bassline of "Another One Bites the Dust".
I can why you might think that as it uses the Billy Idol solo video. But the song was originally released in 1980, with the group he was in GENeration X, as shown here: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dancing_with_Myself
Correct , but I did take you’d used the solo vid & track That very time in 1980 end of summertime to Xmas there were some amazing tracks that came out especially the Jazz Funk Disco scene along with the emerging New Romantic bracketed type choons I’ve done two very concise mixes on those genres on Spotify you may like! I’m a little bias as this was my leaving school year & id been pubbing & clubbing already for a few years but the nightlife & atmosphere were I’d go was so vibrant & exciting because of the great music in Leeds I’d go to the Warehouse in Leeds a very trendy nightspot for all the funksters it even had a future pop icon working as a cloakroom attendant 🤫 they let him & his Synth partner practice & play to us , before there stardom finally took off in the summer of 1981 , check out Memorabilia by Soft Cell I thought it was just as good as Tainted Love Here’s a couple of those genres on Spotify to see what I mean NEW ROMANTIC 👉🏻 open.spotify.com/user/1122533510/playlist/34VNy7o9DAljSV0eNwjZn9?si=ntxPY30bT86YV9oHB-prQQ 1980 FUNKY JAZZ DISCO NIGHTS 👉🏻 open.spotify.com/user/1122533510/playlist/6A4OLpkxSgC6A87YIlWcFg?si=zt9cmqSkQU6wBNfl7MoUIw BRITFUNK 👉🏻 open.spotify.com/user/1122533510/playlist/6mzgnNjaKCtYwoNBxqftqv?si=3_BWiaWvQnqgrm8oYsfrpQ FIRST WAVE OF NEW WAVE 👉🏻 open.spotify.com/user/1122533510/playlist/2EYuIBlZDFPxM54ARALKIJ?si=Lo2qhtXgSD23_RGpJYN61Q 1980 EVERY EVER CHART HIT 👉🏻 open.spotify.com/user/1122533510/playlist/3cOSEHlVgpLBqzeC5Jjjuo?si=YA_IAWWDQ_KxztlLW3DOUA 1981 EVERY EVER 👉🏻 open.spotify.com/user/1122533510/playlist/2yA1MEi3KTiqsaS0maAwI2?si=vqFBrWlMQ5C04JAh2ASrUg YACHT ROCK 👉🏻 open.spotify.com/user/1122533510/playlist/4vVMr2xkv1PiHKN8vbcTAf?si=4Ku-Eh3xR5qhFYFATn5Q5Q ( done each decade also ) EVERY 70’s NUMBER ONE IN ORDER 👉🏻 open.spotify.com/user/1122533510/playlist/0CTqf6ITwdarmATEK39WGU?si=7tfhBuWARRuSsRgYMnIhnw
Start listening at 1:22 Kool & The Gang has a couple of “Yahoo’s” in there. I can say though that I would have liked to hear more of them because Celebration was a huge hit then.
Most of these year-based ones by The Hood Internet are amazingly great. This one, 1980, is not. The abrupt tempo changes with no bridging beat in multiple places really break the flow. Best ones so far are the first -- 1979, and 1983, both excellent.
@@paultart1992 LOL. Yes, the concept of "critics" should not exist at all, you're right. Why should anyone be allowed to have opinions on anything? Good try.
