Y’all as flyers and bases, DO NOT put lotion on before a comp. Your knees will be really slippery for your bases. And bases, you won’t be able to hold the flyers foot.
Maybe she means like an hour before you compete so it won't be dry but it won't be greasy. Also bases can wash their hands after putting on lotion so their hands don't skip if it's still greasy 👍
You missed wristbands! You definitely need them to go under grips. Also, a grip bag and plastic container for chalk are helpful to have. In covid times, some gyms don't have big chalk buckets for everyone to use, so each person has their own container. And chalk is something you need.
Good thing PGA (palmetto gymnastics academy) is awesome and we don’t have to bring our own chalk we still Share chalk and we don’t wear masks because it’s a safety issue masks are SUPER dangerous if your a gymnast the mask could slide up and block your view ETC
I also like to wear panda paws for my wrists since I injured them at a meet 3 years ago and have had problems since so these help me so so so much I recommend them too :) stay safe girlies
They have grown so much since last year like I thought I had watched one of their recent videos a few days ago but it was a video they made a year ago so I compared how they look now and a year ago and geez it’s a big difference !

I’m a gymnast and what I feel like people need to have is a beam, but not like a fold out beam that’s close to the ground but a but a proper wood beam that’s high but high for your liking but theses are a little pricey but they work great! Also there’s great to have if your not in the gym and you want to practice skill on a higher beam(skills you can do on your own without a spotter) or you just want to try out some different moves. That’s what I recommend with the beams👍🏼
I love you guys! The only product that I can think of that you might have missed is hair gel for getting a nice slick ponytail for cheer. Great vid!! :)
I do all star cheer since I was 5 and I’m 11. Next month I’m starting gymnastics and this has been a big help so I can get all the supplies for it. Because of COVID times you have to bring all your own equipment.
Hoodies are great especially for winter and the darker months for when your coming home from practice andvits really cold I've never been to classes but when I was little I did ballet andvi would have a little cardigan
I have my first comp in December, it’s only a recreational comp but the same as a real comp other then the obvious differences. I’m so excited but also nervous. Everyone goes home with a crown and 1, 2, 3 get special ones. I’m sure when I start doing serious comps instead of recreational comps I definitely run out of space for medals and crowns 😝

At 8:52 minutes, when I went to gymnastics, we used these things that looked like license plates. Buy instead, they showed the year of some competition.
Watching this video I'm just sad that I had to quit gymnastics because of the cost. But hey, I'm in Arial Acrobatics, but I never got that full gymnastics competition experience. (I was level 3. At my old gym level 4 was pre team and 5+ got to compete)

thanks for the shoutout i am a huge fan and relly enjoy watching your videos :) also is it okay if i use a yoga mat because i don't have a panel mat, i am beginner self taught gymnast, tc2 has inspired me to do gymnastics and is it ok if i do a handstand for 1 second, i cant do it longer?
A yoga mat is better than no mat, just be careful because it is not as padded! Keep working on your handstand they are hard to hold, but practicing helps you learnt o hold them a little longer.
Me watching this as a martial artist be like : "mhm Uh huh - WHAT hair spray ? for what your hair is ruined and tangled and sweaty by the end of the class!" "Oh never mind this is for gymnasts and cheerleaders duh"
can you guys try another rybka twins tutorial please. but a tutorial that’s actually reasonable for you guys to attempt that’s still a skill that you guys don’t have like when you did that tutorial for the “pop up” or whatever it was called!
if you can do a back walkover, try doing it a couple times on a trampoline, then gradually springing off of your toes a little bit. every time you can try jumping a little more until you can do it. you can also try jumping into the air and onto your back to get some of the fear out of your head :)
