I went to N.Y about a year ago to visit my brother. It was shocking how different I felt the city after 9 years, we went to grab dinner, walk around and reminisce about old times. My brother went back to have a nap, so I went to Time Square at 11:00 pm, with my iphone playing New York Groove (Kiss version) and just looked around. I shed a couple of tears, I forgot how much I love the big apple, I shared the joys, I shared the tragedies, and I just experienced New York. I'm moving back in a couple of months, and I'll be back in The city that never sleeps for good. I'm back.

little kzw Again, these are things she likes. You can't say what she likes is wrong because its what SHE likes. Just because you disagree doesn't mean that her likes and dislikes are wrong. Maybe she likes touristy things, I'm so sick of people saying crap about tourists or things tourists like to do. Maybe they're just enjoying their life and their time in New York. Get over it and ignore it if it bothers you so much.

missglamorazzi Thank you so much for this video! I just moved to NYC a few months ago and love it so much but I have recently been surrounded by some very negative people who hate this city and can't see how hopeful and inspiring it is. I needed this boost of confidence and a reminder that I am exactly where I want to be. Glad you're enjoying it too and thanks again! God bless :)

As a kid from New York City, this video fills me with such a sense of pride. It's such a wonderful city, and I love seeing people appreciating the little things. Such as Books of Wonder!! I was in a show this year, with rehearsals right next store. I would go almost everyday after rehearsal, and get lost in the shelves. It's such a magical, little place. As is this wonderful city.

The trees and flowers of NYC are no more special than the trees and flowers of any other city. Central Park is something I understand getting excited about, but come on….describing a random park as a "peaceful sanctuary, sparkling with life and beauty." Like I said: So dramatic. So cheesy.

I've only visited NYC in quick touristy trips but it's still stolen my heart. There's definitely a fragment of my heart that belongs there. I've always said "if home is where the heart is, then I am far from home." I would love to take about a year to just live there. If only money grew on trees.

Wow I was born and raised in this city and you made it sound hella good. I went to high school in Harlem. If you're bored and in the city with time to spare take the Staten Island Ferry. Take the R to Whitehall. The ferry is free and you can see the entire Manhattan skyline and Statue of Liberty. There's dollar pizza joints, Bryant Park, the Brooklyn Bridge, NYPL, halal carts, the Apollo, the Unisphere, The New York Hall of Science (I used to go there a lot on school trips when I was a kid), The Bronx Zoo, the bodega (raisin bagels and cream cheese or a bacon egg and cheese on a roll are my most common requests), and much more.

Before I went to New York City last may, I thought it would be just another city. I didn't get why people were this excited about a city. Then, as I said, last may I went to New York City myself. From the moment I was there, it felt like home immediately.. which isn't something that happens easily for me. After a week I when I was back in Europe I almost felt homesick and decided that I was going to go to New York again. So now I'm studying hard, saving and trying to get to study for half a year at NYU as an exchange student in a little over 1 year.. What can I say.. I just LOVE NYC!

I used to live in NY but now live in LA. I'm gonna be honest here. When your actually born and raised in NYC, it's so easy to take it all for granted. Now don't get me wrong. All the years that I was raised in NY and lived there, I knew about the city and I loved the city a lot considering it was home and still is home to me to this day, but there's still a lot I didn't know about the city/state of NY and a lot I never even did or saw. Hoping on visiting NY again. Or even better for me, MOVE BACK TO NY. I personally love the people ( New Yorkers ). Lots of people say that their rude and tough and to fast. The truth is, you can find rude people anywhere. Rudeness was not created for New Yorkers. The reason why they might seem tough however is probably cause of everything they've been through. I personally see them as fighters. They've been through the year 1977, the worst year in the city/state for murder crime and gang crime, bankruptcy, a huge black out, ( the worst followed by NYC's 2003 blackout ), dirtiest year, and Times Square which was filled with prostitutes, drug dealers, bad Broadway shows and so many more. Then in 2001 came 9/11. A nightmare NY survived. And struggles daily to never relive. Then in 2012 came Hurricane Sandy which caused billions dollars of damage. Which was caused by global warming. New Yorkers went through all of that and still come out stronger then they were before. That right there is amazing! And the city/state of New York is a lot better now cause of the changes and the lessons learned.

My family has been through some tough few years, between my parent's divorce, my brothers moving away, and the drifting of family members, it's been over 5 years since my mother, grandfather, and I could take a vacation. We've been working our fingers to the bone just trying to make ends meet, and now finally with some cut backs, my new full-time position, and downsizing to a smaller car, we are able to begin saving for a much needed get away. These videos make me feel hopeful and adventurous. When the chips are down and all you see are the same surroundings day after day as you try to climb back up to financial stability, the world can feel bleak and you can lose yourself in the shuffle of things. I feel like traveling is always something that really brought my family together, however few of us may be left. This video made me feel so excited for when we finally do get to take a trip again. I want to save up and take my grandfather to Hawaii, where he's always wanted to go. And every day, the dream gets closer to my reach. In the meantime, I thank you for taking us on this journey through New York. Even through a video, it's great to see the world again. God bless you, Ingrid.

Are you seriously doing this? Trying to use the most pathetic arguments to hate on Ingrid? She didn't tell almost 500,000 young girls to get on the subway and go to Harlem, she just simply stated that Harlem is an underrated place and that she likes it there, the reason why she included it in this video. And if that's the case, and these young girls actually do get on a subway and go to Harlem, and something bad happens to them, that's not Ingird's fault. Ingrid just pointed out that Harlem is a nice place to explore, she wasn't forcing any of her viewers to go there.

I'm glad Ingrid is having a great experience...I was in NYC for five days a few years back, and five days was enough. Yes, I went to MoMA and the Metropolitan Opera and the Empire State building and the Statue of Liberty, I saw Spamalot on Broadway, hung out in Times Square, and I had the best bagels I've ever eaten in my life. But I'm a Chicago girl, and comparatively I just couldn't deal with NYC. I felt like if I dropped dead on the sidewalk people would scream at me for being in the way. Everyone was rude, and I felt myself becoming rude the longer I was there. I didn't feel like I could just stroll down the street like Ingrid, I felt like I had to rush everywhere. I realize that crime is technically worse in Chicago, but the vibe of Chicago makes me feel like I can walk down any street with my purse wide open (not that I do, but I'm not afraid for my safety there.) ANYWAY. Those are my unsolicited two cents. ;)

I dream of moving to NYC once, but it's really difficult for me because I'm from Europe (the Netherlands), that means I have to get a Green Card. And it's really expensive, but I don't like it here so the only thing I'm gonna focus on the next couple of years is NYC. I don't like just buying a house, getting an job and just live live that until I die. I believe that the only thing that you really have to do before you die is making your biggest dream come true.
