I really enjoyed this video, you're very relaxing to listen to - great list, very down to earth and relatable, I took away several new ideas.

I worked for IKEA for almost 30 years. I accumulated a number of IKEA products that I have assembled and disassembled many times. I do keep the instructions, which have come in handy each time I move. Yes, instructions are available online, until it is discontinued. Then it's not. So, I recommend if you value the product and plan on keeping it for many years or you move frequently, I would keep the instructions.

That’s a good point! I’m that situation it might make more sense to maybe hold on to certain instructions

Great list! Although, in my house I would never get rid of my second pair of tweezers. It seems to be a thing that as soon as I'm down to one pair (also, kitchen scissors), I lose them!♥️🇨🇦

I’m glad I didn’t get rid of my grandmother’s jar and bottle opener gizmo (a metal clamp-lever device). 30 years after I ‘inherited’ it, I need it now - and I think of her every time I use it.

That’s so nice! I’d consider that like a sentimental item that also serves a unique purpose. That’s so great you have that and it’s so meaningful 😊

Well done; direct and to the point. I bypass videos offering up anecdotal material. Just give me the list, a brief explanation and I'll be on my way. Additionally, the tone, pitch, and cadence/rhythm of your voice is easy to listen to. I listened to the end...for me, that's almost unheard of. Thank you.

I’m glad it helped give you some clarity! 😊 sometimes it’s so easy for us to be blind to the stuff we keep in our own homes until someone points it out to us lol

Oh, never throw away socks without a pair, put them together with another one. If they have holes, fix them. I never understood why anybody would use uncomfirtable shoes, let alone keep them if they never use them. I have started using barefoot shoes, best invention ever. I have a total of 2 sets of sheets, do not have a dryer. I save money and energy by using the sun and air. It is also better for the fabrics. Knick-knacks are a nightmare, can’t stand them. My mom has a house full of them and growing up it was horrible to clean. Use natural cleaning products. They will work just fine, are better for your health and respectful to the environment. A chemist once told me that the stuff you buy in the supermarket, if used in their lab, they would have to wear a mask and use some ventilation system, do we do that at home? Nooe. We just use them. That is gonna have a terrible impact on our health in the long run. Think also about the others living in your home, also companion animals. I have asthma and am very sensitive to smells, they trigger my asthma and get headaches. I cannot be near people who use perfume, imagine animals who have a very strong sense of smell. Like Amanda said in one video, if it works, do not replace it. Why buy a different toothpaste, when the one you have is good? Same with shampoos or any other thing. That way you will not have that many. Here I also recommend using natural products. Think about your health, your kids’ health and the environment. Paper clutter is so mentally exhausting. Books… yes. I know. I am trying to spend less time online, so I am gonna try to read more. Stationery ♥ I ended up giving so much away… but still have many. If I journalled as much as I’d like, I would need all of them. I told people the only presents I would want and need are food and massages. Give me a voucher for a massage or invite me to eat out/cook me a meal. Maybe if there is something I di want/need, get me that but I do not need any other gifts. In general I think it is better to live in small spaces because the bigger a house/apartment is, the more crap you put in it. It is also cheaper. Thanks fir the video 😊
