28:20 btw, "slowpoke" is just slang for "being very slow", ie if someone is taking a long time to get ready for the day, you call them a slowpoke. It's not necessarily a pokemon reference, just a joke about busses in America being very slow and inefficient

hahaha that Manhattan demo is AndyTHPS, he wears the same outfit in every game (or at least he did back then) also, in Slam City Jam you can get outside the map by doing a glitch that disables the killbox when you go up one of the rails into the top part of the crowd, get outside of the map by doing some kid of jump thing then find an area that has the same weird floor that doesn't let you skate on it...but on the walls, and it bounces you back and forth like a bouncy ball going 15,000 kmph

Well, no. The game without all the Easter eggs would be boring. They relied on that stuff because the game NEEDED it. Games are way more mechanically demanding these days and thus are just fun to play. Not look around and laugh at some dumb Easter eggs non stop lmao
That Demo line is by a professional player who played at the games debut at the Tony Hawk Boom Boom Huck Jam. I went to one of them in Tampa and that was how they showcased the game. Was fantastic. Also I saw a video last year with one of the devs discussing the "kurt" sign but I'll need to get back to you on that as I forgetti.
I literally just dug out my old x box and found my copy of THUG. hell ya. the nostalgia is real. Gotta do the capacitor delete to keep the x box alive.
This is probably my favorite video on RU-vid, THUG is my favorite game of all time and I thought I knew alot about this game already since I've been playing it since its release but this video is very in depth, and I highly enjoyed it all the way through, good videos and I'll definitely be subscribing
I've seen everyone talk about every other tony hawk game. But not once have I seen people talk about underground 2. Which is my favourite game, and really the only tony hawk game I cared about.
Another Easter egg in Hawaii deals with the Tiki...if you jump on top of it and go into manual and start pivoting the smoke on top will build up even more!!
THUG was pretty much my first real online video game with a deep community. Lot of super late nights chilling with the homies and double tapping in Moscow. Some of the best gaming days of my life.

Im surprised you didnt mention the Tampa car glitch with the alligator. On that level, if you drive the car into the alligator, it will respawn you and the. You are able to drive off a certain area of the map and into the water. Theres nothing special outside of the map but driving in the water is fun, and for some reason your tires turn invisible underwater

Also slow motion is available in this game.. all you have to do is put the "cool specials" and "moon gravity" cheat on..do a special like a (Mctwist) towards the end of any rail and try to "kiss the rail" if done correctly and you land..the game will stay in slow motion until do another special!!
I feel like you should have added that the hockey rink was made so you can go head to head with your friends in local multiplayer. Maybe even online(never had it back in the day)
While I'm sure back in the 2000s this wasn't a concern as much as it is now, I gotta wonder if part of the reason they went with The Real Mackenzie's cover and not Turbonegro (am I even allowed to say that) is cause, well, the band is called Turbonegro. Idk how well that would fly even in the wild 2000s, especially since the game would also be on GameCube. It makes me wonder if the band ever faces controversy today cause of their name. Considering how cancel happy everyone is, I can't imagine it doesn't turn some heads. And yeah I know that the word "negro" isn't as controversial as the n word, but there's still plenty of people that make a fuss over even that word, even if you're using it in a Spanish context.
Some of the subjects they joke about feel so.. square for a game about skating. "Want faster trains, pay taxes" and the "boo, communism bad" jokes just seem like some default named Jerry attempted to make a joke based within the "AmericaMustBeDoingEverythingRightThey'reDad" worldview they've been fed their whole lives. Not upset or anything, it just feels weird seeing a cop trying to bang a goat (AGAIN) and that type of stuff in the same game.
The Demo you mention about Manhattan was recorded by AndyTHPS. He also recorded similar Demos for some later games like THUG2 and THAW. You can tell since he wears the same Asian inspired hat in them. He was the administrator for a Tony Hawk related fansite that was later hired at Neversoft

Pleasantly surprised to see THUG on this channel. Worth noting that hitting the puck into the goals on Vancouver is needed to get a couple of gaps. Also, IIRC the Manhattan demo was recorded by andyTHPS, who was testing for Neversoft at the time. Played this game since I was a kid, but over 10 of these facts are all new to me. Yes, this is correct! Hitting the pucks into the goals, and then grinding on top of the goals simultaneously will net you the "Red Goal" and "Blue Goal" gaps depending on which goal it actually is!
I feel like I'm super lucky to have grown up when these games were coming out. What microtransactions have done to video games is dispicable. Kids today will never understand how cool it was as these consoles and games were expanding and getting better every year. Because it's not like that anymore.

I jus saw your MK Deception video, and there is a mystery on Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks i see no one talk about and you should take a look. When you die in the game, some messages appear on screen, one of them says "Did you feed ALL trees in the forest". In fact, there are some trees in the forest you can feed them to get some hints and progress through story. HOWEVER.... there are one tree that is IMPOSSIBLE to feed, the one in the area that smoke is. Since the are nothing else on the area (except smoke) you can't feed her, neither discover what hint it gives to you.
The attention to detail and secrets were really good in this game. I remember most of the glitches and easter eggs but some of them I never knew about.

As someone who suffered from having a broken PS3 and no money for a PS4 in middle school and early high school I spent alot of time playing PS2 games. I came back to this game so many times and played with EVERY cheat active. I even managed to get out of bounds using the gravity cheat
With 34:59, the cutscene glitches happen when inside a car too... When you exit the cutscene the skater will be stuck inside the car. Also in new jersey, because some of the level objects disappear when in a car, some of the cutscenes play incorrectly when you view from inside the car. If I recall, in the one where you meet Stacy Peralta, he'll be floating while meditating. I think you can see Eric T-posing as well in one of them too.
Thug is the best tony hawk game in my opinion. The style, theme, story mode, characters, everything. And 50 of these I knew, except the character customised thing for the team for the game. Spent way too much time on this as a kid back in the day.

They showed me cool glitches like getting out of bounds with the set restart function and the climbing the ledge n jump glitch. They made clown shoes very popular. I remember playin with someone who went by the name Moe. I went by Ghost. This takes me back. Good times.

Would you consider making a video on THPS3? Many people, myself included, consider that the best one in the series and it recently had its 20th anniversary.
I've never seen this mentioned anywhere on the internet but if you get into a car (at least on the GC version) it culls your board out of cutscenes. You can watch yourself jump over a helicopter on an invisible skateboard.

Hes pretty popular on twitch and RU-vid now and I think hes some kind of lead programmer over at Vicarious Visions and worked TREMENDOUSLY hard on the new THPS 1+2 REMAKE game.

The reason Sailor Man is on Bam's promo video is because it's made up of clips from his (then) most recent part in Elementality (an Element skateboards video you should check out that's on RU-vid atm). In it he's talking about his car and says he'll do burnouts in it so long as "Sailor Man by Turbonegro is playing". But the version they use in that video is the same Real McKenzies cover. So that wasn't a "mistake" on Neversoft's part, it was Element's and probably not a mistake at all. If you look at the soundtracks of skate videos at the time of each game's release, you'll see that a whole lot of the THPS soundtracks pull from them, which is why there's normally that crossover in the promo videos. Actually, the Element team promo you can watch after winning Tampa Am features Join Me by HIM, which also isn't in the game soundtrack. I think that getting official rights sorted out was a pain in the ass at the time as Turbonegro had only recently reformed and publishing rights for their back catalogue in different territories was up in the air. The album it's from, Ass Cobra, had multiple publishers at the time and had just changed hands in 2003. So I imagine Activision/Neversoft just couldn't get the rights to include any version of it in the official soundtrack. The Real KcKenzies cover being in a promo video was probably covered by a different type of contract....or like many skate videos, Element just didn't ever get the official rights, no lawyers were looking THAT closely at the game, and nobody cared to sue.

the moment with the Bam's Movie, specifically the part saying that devs took accidentally a Real McKenzies cover is probably not true, because the same song with te same video parts is in the Elementality skate video, so I think Neversoft just went the easy way, which is likely because every THUG1 cinematic is much shorter than these in THPS3 or 4
In the out of bounds area in Vancouver you can actually make your character bounce high into the air like a trampoline. It's kinda tricky to pull off but mostly what you gotta do is bend your character back and make him perform like an impossible til you reach the sky looking part and then you should be bouncing in the air. I actually managed to score 1 billion points doing this.
I did this a lot in the past on my PS2 Version: in Tampa (or prolly every level) , if you drive the car and drive near a pedestrian, instead of running away the can "push" you away as if you are on your board. This way you can do "skatecombos" which will never end and you cant leave the car anymore EDIT: Ok it was acutally done in the end, but without the combo Also on the PS2 Version, when doing the hawaii huge spin challange the person will show you how its done and during the jump he will descent into the floor screaming.
