He’s the kind of guy we all want as a mentor, he’s probably lost more knowledge then most of us have. Please bring this fella back even if the video is 3 hours long we would watch it.
It certainly seemed to go very quickly. Sometimes a 15:00 minute video can seem to take ages. With videos like these, the time passes very quickly. It is an inducement to start "binge" watching. Can't get enough.
Please Nick can you have this guy on for over an hour doing something similar to how adrian showed almost every species and highlighted certain tips to keeping / breeding them. This is the closest Cory operation to the book on Ornamental Fish Farming that I’ve seen you visit. As an aspiring Cory breeder myself, I’d love to see all his species and any tricks he has for breeding them!
Hi mate. Yes, you are dead right on that one. Brian Andrews who wrote the book "Ornamental Fish Farming" was a business partner for years, both in South Africa at Amatikulu Hatchery, as well as in Australia at Kilcoy Ornamental Fisheries. I have adapted many of his principles in what I do now. Brian was inspirational to me for so many years.
I would love to see a longer video with this gentleman. I'm sure his experiences and techniques would be eye opening. I learned a ton with just this short video.
This was absolutely wonderful, Nick. He seems like such a neat person. The kind of guy I'd like to have as a next door neighbor. Thanks for sharing this one.
This man is awesome! A man who dose what he can when he can. Builds everything himself loves his hobby/job We all should draw every word that has came from this man no bull just truth from a real master. Thank you very much please do a longer upload on this man!!
I am a poor start up fish farmer/hobbyist and I am loving to see other people using bins and tubs aswell I still use them a lot I cannot afford to buy all glass tanks where I live they are hard to come by and I cannot drive to pick them up. So I find tubs as clear as possible when I need to see the fish side on I also have a lot of black tubs and bins and even 10L buckets for $2 at the supermarket. I scour bargan shops for tubs and buckets. I use the flexi tubs with handles too. If it isnt toxic and holds water I will use it. Some fish like the black bins and tubs better than tanks. I am raising a bichir in a black hydro tub. And if you want to run a sump flow system it is so easy to install bulkheads in plastic tubs. You can make amazing sump systems with hydro tubs and IBC containers and cheap plastic pipes from bunnings with the little flow taps. I am about to start on a system and a shed I plan to insulate. You can even plant out the sump if you want bare tanks and still get the benefits
This was so pleasant to watch. Could've listened to you both chat for hours. Some great advice too on making do with what you've got and not overcomplicating things. Proving fishkeeping and breeding is far more about knowledge and good care and not about all the expensive gear. Great stuff mate!
really glad to see Trevor is doing so well worked with him at Bay Fish he was a wealth of knowledge and always happy to pass it on loss a couple of great recently that where involved in the many facets of the industry sad to think of all that knowledge loss ,i think its great your interviewing and talking to then
What a lovely story and a terrific video. Such great content recently, Nick. I also really appreciate your art of pretty “background music” for these as true “background”, rather than the overpowering techno beats that other fish channels have adopted which make it hard to follow content. Just superbly done. Cheers.
Amazing genuine bit of footage. I want it to go on and on but its so perfect. I cant help think that if i was younger i would want to go and learn the way from that master. Great work. From the rainy UK, THANKS!
hello from the Philippines. Ive been following/subscribing your channel for the past 2 years and ive always manage to take away info from your videos and thats helped me alot. and for that thanks a lot. by the way Gone for a month and you come back with great content 2 this week. Nice videos mr. nick.
Love these videos Nick, I just wish this was longer. Was all settled in for the long haul and a it was over all too soon. Keep up the good work, there's a demographic for this kind content.
Wow the video production is getting better and better ! Its amazing considering you're doing this while also running a business. Thanks for the video ! 😃😃
Hi Nick. You really put in a polished vlog. The sound background and visually play the part well. Been watching quite a few the past few day's. I had no idea our SE Qld was so bountiful in aqua farming. Thank you for bringing these stories of peoples life works.
Absolutely amazing video nick! Really enjoyed it. This guy certainly knows what he's doing!. I love how simple everything looks especially those breeding bins in the tents. thanks for sharing mate! 😊

I/ve known Trevor for over 10 years now and good on you Nick for persisting and getting this video done. After all the chats i have had with Trevor over the years I am still learning from him about the fish keeping journey and what I need to do to achieve my goals in the trade. Thanks boys, great story-
Thanks Glenn, always a pleasure to have a chat with you. Tangs are one of the few fish I have never pursued, so I'm learning heaps from you too. All the best mate.
Fantastic set up!! Would love to have some of their ceramics here in the 🇺🇸! Some of his rare corys too! Always a pleasure and fascinating trip with one of your videos, Nick! We ❤ Australia!!! (Those Bosemanis= WOW!!)
Thanks Nick for showing one of my countrymen being successful in your country. Hope you will suport him. Hi Trevor. Jacques Port Elizabeth Suid Afrika 🤗🤗🤗
