Awesome video! Sandusky Bay is a really scenic place to go visit. I try to watch trains there at least once a year on the Norfolk Southern mainline that goes over the bay. Have a Happy New Year!
Hi guys. Ive fished for walleye at Erie many times and caught a few catfish. I took them home. Cleaned and cooked them. The catfish had a not so good taste to them as compared to other locations I've been to for cats. I was just wondering have you experienced the same thing or do you just throw them back and never have tasted the cats at Erie?
I really appreciate this video and the information provided. Do you have any recommendations on good poles with backbone and recommend reels? Are there any recommended spots around the bay for shore fishing that are easy to access for a disabled person? Thank you for any information you can provide.
Sorry took so long to see your comment. I like a med - heavy or heavy rod Heavy action ugly stick with Ambassador 6500 is my favorite for the big cats. The most popular spot from the bank will be the old bay bridge. Shouldn't be a problem finding a spot there. Thanks for your comment and good luck!
I have been fishing up there for 20 years for bass walleye and perch as great as fishery Lake Erie is for those species I believe the cat fishing is even better every time I go up for now at least one morning will be reserved for those cats wife and son loved it give it a try you will enjoy it
