I'm an Anglophile from the US Pacific Northwest with a deep interest in history, Medieval England especially. I spent some time in Norwich during my last visit to England & loved it. Yes, I brought back souvenirs from Colman's, lol. Your videos are nicely done, just the right length and feature the human interest stories I enjoy.

Just found your channel today, and subbed after the second video!!! I'm still relatively new to England, and I love learning about all the history, and finding all these awesome places to visit (when we're allowed to!!). I'm in Orpington, in Kent. Got a suggestion to watch "The Tabernacle Street Murder", and clicked on from there! Love history, especially love crime history, but also really love hearing the less-famous stories. Cheers, and keep it up, my friend!!

I'm from Dorset but half my family are Dutch so I'm really fascinated by the Dutch diaspora to Norfolk. I have always been fascinated by history since I first learned to read and it's not just one time and place that fascinates me it's all times and places. I discovered your channel because RU-vid recommend one of your true crime videos and I really enjoyed it. I would be fascinated to learn more about the history of the Dutch in Norfolk if you think that that's something you'd cover.

@@alittlebitofhistory ye, how true is that! It's just so nice that you've decided to fill in the gaps* which all the big boys (& girls) have sadly missed over the years. *Gaps . . . All the fantastic history of our East Anglian Norfolk which includes this being where the first coins of the realm were made, here in Thetford, aswell as the first real monarch of Brittania, Boudica and much, much more! Keep up your good work! If the Internet had been around about 10 years earlier, I would like to have researched our area and probably tried to do a similar thing as you've done myself but I couldn't have done as good a job as you've done. From Norfolk since the age of 4. Loving the content and coverage of our richly layered past! So much that has never been talked about beyond Kett. I’ve been reading an old RJ Unstead history book to my kid (good old-school material) and it mentioned Norfolk pirates during the Wars of York and Lancaster. The thought of a farmer with boarding axes and cutlasses seems a bit far fetched, but there may be a story there, somewhere... the problem being what kind of material is available to explore it.

Interesting I always find that Kett is over looked and history tend to be just Nelson Nelson Nelson. I will have to look into that sounds like it could be good.

On how I got to your channel, well I seeking information on wrestling as it is not really known over here. But my grandfather who was born in 1895 organised a few fairs in Antwerp with wrestling and speed roller skating as main events, way back after the First World War.

I lived in Norwich ( Lakenham ) for many years, and now live in Devon ( near Barnstaple ). I was always interested in the stories of Billy Bluelight... Are you going to present a video about him? I am fascinated by learning about local history. I am surprised a little that you have not yet made a film about Robert Kett and the rebellion, or, Elizabeth Fry, or Edith Cavell... All somewhat unheard of hero's and heroines. Just a thought. Great videos by the way!

I have done Billy Bluelight and Elizabeth Fry, if you look back though my videos or on the Norfolk playlist. I have started an Edith Cavell script, as for Ketts rebellion I am thinking of doing something special for that, bigger than a regular video, so watch this space for that.
