I really hoped to see a big game like this at some point. I am so exited. Wow what epic fights. The two Dreadnaughts ripping each other apart. Primarchs going ham and terminators killing each other. A true spectacle worthy of the horus heresy.
As a Space Wolves player myself, our Slayers and Stalkers are not good unless bullying other regular infantry. If they encounter any melee elite units they tend to fold. Also, unless you are decking out units with power weapons, even with a large number of attacks we can and will bounce of larger units who can absorb the hits.
Brutal. Cacophony are hilarious, Eidolon hater here, but he fights well. Horus having no reliance on anyone else and getting it done. Abaddon will be dishing out press ups to the Justaerin who let the boss go without protection. Varagyr were pros. Thanks Winters, a good Sunday evening you two make.
I've always wondered, after filming another great batrep, how do you go about cleaning up all the small stones? Just pick all the big stuff up first and then scoop them all into a bin? Or break out a shopvac and vac them all into a bin?
I'm not well versed on the Horus Heresy game, having only a loose sense of what is happening from experience in earlier editions, but I really enjoyed that battle! Very fun, a lot more swingy then I realised. Great epic battle at end even after the rounds had been finished. As a person who plays Dark Angels and eternal rival to Space Wolves, I don't hate the ending result >_>
Some of the best Heresy videos on the net, here on Winters. Keep up the good work! One question: "Primarchs alway have to accept challenges"...is that so? Where can I find it? I checked the relevant rule sections and couldn´t find anything about this.
man horus looks good. how much did it cost to get painted? I got a quote from a painting company; it was 40 models for $5,000 witch seemed too much for me.
Great battle report, might seem like a minor thing but I love how you roll dice on the table instead of what a lot of channels do and use a dice tray which I hate as it takes the view away from the action.
Does he have any painting tutorials on his sons? I really really really really really really really really really really really really want to know what color green that is
Honestly at this point heresy is a better system than 40k. The rules allow for far more customization for your units, universal reactions are simply better than strategems, vehicles don't feel like fleshy blobs, and there's far less fishing for 6's gameplay.
I always wondered why people play acting like their miniatures know what is in the vehicles. It seems really gamy to withhold a movement because the player knows whats in the tanks but there would be no way for your army to know what is in the vehicles.
There should be a random element thrown into the game where you a role die to determine what/who in the vehicle before they disembark until the last one is empty. For both the platter and the opponent in would give another layer of excitement as the wrong/right unit appears in front of the other player.
@@whiteleyadamit wouldn’t make sense to have it random since there is no reason their commander wouldn’t know what is where. I could see a kind of blind system where contents are kept secret and only revealed when they get out. Course that would slow down the game and make it possible for people to cheat by secretly swapping round where units are if not properly managed. Still an interesting idea.
On real war to an extent that's true though things like antennas a d optics can help you figure out. In 30k and 40k most of these guys have transports barring heraldry and names that spell out what exactly is in there. Remember these are knights with guns and lasers. Plus here it's pretty obvious since Russ needs the spartan and the terminators need the land raiders.
