I had an 89 CRX SI!!! This build is sick!!! keep up the good work!!! This video series has been amazing and i can't wait to see this car finished no matter how long it takes!!!
CASEY, YOU are the coolest cat 🐈 in town! I'm so stoked that your building one of my dream car builds. I always wanted to see a 383ci stroker in a Civic. You made that dream possible and created a template for others to build one too, so thanks 👍. Great job Casey! Anyway, thanks for the video 📸.
Take 1988 t bird yank the 2.3 liter replace the k frame qa1 408 with 8-71 Blower manifold then the blower Trans your choice rear 8.8 4.11 to one And body mods depends on your çhoice of tires.do you think it will go.
This car could of been built so much nicer and easier. Which is really confusing to me because you have the talent and abilities. Problems began immediately by trying to repurpose a chassis instead of building your own. That way you make the chassis fit the car, not the car fit the chassis. The roll cage is,,,,, well, its there. It should be part of the chassis, not part of the body shell. The tubes are just everywhere. I know its not built for any type of NHRA spec which is perfectly fine. This whole build is what we call "hillbilly engineering". Just keep adding metal until its strong enough. For a project of this caliber, things need to be drawn/ mapped out. This may seem like it takes some time to do, however, in the long run it saves immense amount of time. More importantly, it saves you a ton of money. Your not wasting roll bar tubing. Also, invest in a tube bender then your not buying pre bent hoops that never fit where you want. That dasboard hoop you installed today is kinda ridiculous. It didn't need to be bent to begin with. Because its bent it ate up a lot of valuable real-estate. Every little bit of space is critical when you are working on such a small car. So take this with a grain of salt. Plan your builds and stick with the plan. You have the abilities. Use them to your advantage.
It's pretty funny that you went from thinking this was just going to be a side project and not really being featured on the channel to it getting you shouted out on donut.
MO POOOWA CASEY!!! As a long time Donut and Caseys Customs Subscriber, I really appreciate them giving you a shout out, you work your ass off, watched you from the beginnings of your channel, well done dude.
Try putting rubber "washers" on both sides of that fuel pump plate with a metal washer under the head of the bolt. The way you have it now, the head of the bolt can transfer vibration directly into the plate.
Congrats on the donut mention, congrats on the bump in viewers. I like this build, seems like a really tight fit. gonna like seeing this one done. Power to weight ratio is gonna be spacecraft level
Well deserved🎉 ever since I found ya I knew you were gonna blow up if you keep these builds consistent not even have many builds, but the journey is what matters
BUT ITS NOT A CRX! ITS EVERYTHING BUT A CRX YOU ONLY USED A PART OF THE CRX WHICH IS ONLY SOME BODY PANELS! YOU MIGHT AS WELL HAVE GOTTEN A MUSTANG AND PUT A CRX PRINTED ON A WRAP ON IT!
All I watch mostly is build videos on RU-vid and got to say your projects are top notch. I especially like the crx video because I had one and even though I worked as a fabricator mechanic body man and custom painter I thought it would be way to much work to v8 swap a crx because how lil room there is. I am addicted to this project and look forward to every new video. Thank you for the bad ass content!!
🎉🎉🎉🎉😂Donut said something about this and I was waiting to see yours response 🎉🎉🎉🎉 VVVRRROOMMM....BBBLLLAAAAPPPPPLAAPPPPLAAP🎉🎉🎉🎉CONGRATULATIONS on the call out!!!!
Honestly, I'm so excited to see this thing get done! Super legit build, i can't wait to see lap times and quarter mile times for this. Ill bet theyll be insane!
When you first started this project I was on board with your ideas. But now seeing how you did things. I wouldn’t hire you for 10 bucks an hour. Let alone a good liveable wage. Unless it’s a roundy-round car…that looks like shit. Those removable down bars? Like wtf is that.. weld that shit to the frame and MAKE IT LOOK GOOD
Been a long time since I built a car. But if I thought like you it would've been so much quicker and less parts. Use the trans mount as dash, bell housing as firewall, trans all center console ( need to weld in a cupholder)!!!! Get rid of much of the rest!!! Saving on weight!!! Really needed on this car!!!!👍😂 Edit: never thought about getting rid of header!!
Simply awesome , radically BadAssness , insainly doneness 😅... hell yeah bro that is sicc as fuck dude ... man I can't weight to see when this thing is moving and ripping ... peace and love bro keep it rad stay safe and build on l8z fam and keep having fun 🤘🏽✌🏽
Hey Casey, That Honda is going to be crazy fast. Here's one you should take to the track and see what it turns. That would make a great 1/4 mile track car. I would love to take it down the 1/4 mile once. Love your channel and the builds you do. If you ever run across a 39 Mopar businessman coupe, let me know. No drive train needed. Take care and be safe.
Awesome job I have an 88 crx with a B16 I couldn't even imagine how that thing is going to fly. Is the body a little twisted now? It looks like the door doesn't line up now.
Casey! I've been following you for a long time! the fuel pump needs to be mounted below the engine as low as possible! keep up the good work keep making me think about mid-engine swapping my crx with similar frame but im a chicken!
Not from Donut, but you for sure are a wild man! Which is definitely one of my people! Awesome build so far my man, definitely be keeping an eye on this project!
