@@BIG50CC eh it's really just about emissions. The 2 strokes in most scooters are very reliable I'd say. You could never get the kind of speed you're getting out of a 4 stroke, even with mods. That's why it's unfortunate. Most 50cc 2 strokes will do 50-60mph but the 4 strokes will struggle to reach 40. Makes me wanna buy one of these before they're gone! You're absolutely right they derestricted mine at the dealer. Speedometer says 50 app says 45 I still think that's great for a stock scooter.

Everyone says that but I don't see what they base it on. gps is actually far less accurate than counting ticks and doing math.

@@jhoughjr1 speedometers on motorcycles and scooters are always 5-10% optimistic, meaning they read a higher speed. It's actually mandated by law for "safety" thinking it will help slow people on motorcycles down. On almost ANY motorcycle if you're doing 50mph on the speedo, you're actually doing 45.

that mount aint the best but amazon a motorcycle phone mount make sure its a all plastic type not ones with the rubber band material

@@BIG50CC lol thats actually a good question I have no clue, i broke my phone mount, it was garbage anyway, i need to find something good to hold my phone so I can use my gps again. But to give you an idea, on our speedo gauge after the number 50, ive had the needle passed the H in "MPH" and that wasn't even full throttle, had more to go. If you have the extra cash, get that Yasuni R pipe, maybe some dr. Pulley sliders, get the carb jetted, youll see 50 mph easy with really nice acceleration. Thats with a stock top end. When you are ready to have the front end pull straight up when you crack it off the line, then its bbk time lol

Depends on where you are. In my state there is no top speed limit for low powered scooters. Just a max displacement of 50cc.

Tire size makes a big difference. My zuma...also minarelli...hit 44 mph with higher profile tires....now that i have lower profile tires it tops out at 40 or so. But i think the roughhouses used to have several restrictions...and in 2020 they stopped equipping them on the bike and would just hand you a bag with the restrictors... Like anyone is going to install those funkills themselves.

So it turns out it was the rollers. when I hit it with the lighter ones she came came alive. I had a top speed of 48ish. There was a slight dead spot in acceleration for a sec but it was brief.

@@billyclifford6106 awesome im glad you tracked it down and many of the minarellis have a ”two step" cvt (I think it was due to the variator angle?) that causes a deadish spot at 20-25mph or so

what is the reason behind that

about 13 northeastern states agreed to go by the california emissions standard , which basically sets emissions standards higher than the other states. if you live in the 13 northeastern states ,they might not register any new moto or scooter if it doesnt have the extra california bonded certification on the mco , sometimes its also stamped C.A.R.B . approved , other times it may have an extra bonded notary stamp certified from california state. problem is with 85 percent of the new scooters , because many of them are not carrying that extra californa certified standard for emmisions. its mostly if the scooter was bought directly thru online dealers, if it came with the mco paperwork, they scrutinize it big time here in the northeast .

The 50cc cool but at the end of the day you gonna want a lor more power / speed get that 125

I got the roughouse sport, this is my hometown. I live in Hawaii at the moment and the cool thing is after 50mph it's still accelerating so i don't know the top speed!

I agree bro, it's so unique. It's better than most parks here on Oahu I might move back to either Md or NoVa when my lease is up. I miss seasons and this park hahaha
