I was at Clark as all the POWs came there. I met every plane as they were coming home

Most of my life today (2023) makes me sad because I believe I was happier in Vietnam in 69-70 with much strong friendship bonds than current friends. There we were mostly alike and today as veterans my civilian friends are very hard to be around. My military viewpoints still represent me mostly currently.

Last week, Saturday, 27 Feb., we said "farewell" to Col. Cliff Walker, USAF, ret. A man who spent 5 1/2yrs in the Hanoi Hilton. He was a great American and outstanding person. I was fortunate to have got to know him and his beloved son who cared for him at the very end of his amazing life.
