This video was played at the National WWII Glider pilots 50th Reunion just prior to Major Frank Brandon (USAF ret.) and Lt. Fred Lunde receiving the Orange Lanyard from the Kingdom of the Netherlands by Air Attaché Colonel Betril van Geel. At the end of the war the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions had received the Orange Lanyard but the Glider Pilots, no longer attached to these airborne units once evacuated did not receive this award. Yet, during Market they fought along side the airborne after flying through enemy fire to deliver their gliders with men and equipment to their intended landing zones.
