I have been vaping for 10+ years and finally came across a video that concisely explains battery threads and types in a logical and articulate manner. Thank You!!!
Super helpful, my jacks 510 thread came with zero instructions somehow. Didn’t know what the lights all indicated until I found this video. Its the best one about this subject man. Great job! You sound like Tom green too and I also like that.
Wow super helpful! I just bought a gorilla glue kit by Elements here in Canada which also has a 510 thread. I thought I am only limited to the Elements brand. Glad I can try other brands with my device! It’s very addictive. I want to collect all the strains! Thank you for making this all so clear for us noobs!
Dammit I’ve been looking for this exact video, I’ve had a couple of these pens and my favorite kit from THClear that I’ve had for about six years and it worked beautifully just press the button with no settings and it was flawless but I dropped it and it was over , I went at bought one today and it sucked i was so disappointed until I found this video and I pressed the button for the settings just like you demonstrated in the video and HOLYSNIT my OG KUSH RAW GARDENS cart never tasted so FKN good and the big ass clouds this battery produces is PERFECT, THANKS TO YOUR VIDEO, sorry for typing this novel but I’m gonna be honest I’m super CHEESY RIGHT NOW THIS THING WORKS BEAUTIFUL now that you showed me how to use it,THANK YOU BRO, CHEERS TO ALL YOU STONERS OUT THERE FROM EAST LOS ANGELES CALIFORNIA, 👌🏼🤓✌🏼🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯✌🏼🙋🏻♂️✌🏼
I’m subscribing! Out of all the reviews on here, you are by far the absolute best. Full stop. I have an old Ooze pen and couldn’t remember the colors. What a life saver you have been. Thanks.
@joel Hoffman, yea kindpen makes a good auto draw unit, I'm friendly with those guys, for medical carts sometimes it's the cloud you don't see that hits the spot lol!
@TheNicB, thank you for the kind words. and for watching! Cleaning it you can do with a Qtip dipped in isopropyl or the little Isopropyle Alcohol Swabs that are like 1 inch by 1 inch they use to clean wounds. best way to clean the vapes without harming them.
just got my 1st (jinx fatboy) in pain and becoming increasingly frustrated at it. i'd gotten the cartridge attached and got the thing charged could NOT get it to turn ON. just needed to see it done so i couuld muscle memory that shit. THANK YOU!!!!! i am now recovering from coughing up half a lung and the world is much pleasanter as the pain receedes behind a haze of halfbak;d
This may seam like a simple question but do you have to turn them off or do they auto off after not being used. Jut got my first pen and as everyone seams to experience, no instructions. Learned a lot from your tutorial. Thank you.
@Rob Dollar, if it is Auto Draw, then you dont have to do anything if it is push button the pen is off but on standby mode so whenever you touch the button if will fire. now this is fine dut if you are transporting it in pocket or bag it could accidently start vaping, so then you better lock it by clicking 5 times to be safe. Appreciate you watching! and glad the video could help.
@Raya, see if it has gained any life from the charge. If not try a different wall adapter or charging source and see if it will do the trick . Normally it is 2 hours to full charge.
Do I need to preheat the cartridge every time I use it? Also what is the average temperature to use the stick at? I got mine for the first time and am not sure how it works. I have the tom ford pink oil and the battery is a twist at the bottom. Last question, after I'm done smoking, can I just remove the cartridge and keep it for next time or is there a step I'm missing here? thanks :)
@Jasdeep Jawanda, You only need to preheat if the oil is super thick and kind of hardening in the cartridge. For temp it really depends on the cartridge and how intense you want the hit but if you twist the dial you should find your sweet spot between 3.00-3.3Volts. You can leave it on the pen no need to remove just lock the pen so you dont accidently push the fire button on it.
What setting do I put my vape pen on to charge? I have a hard time charging my pen because I do not understand how to charge it. I have it hooked up to my USB port. But it won't charge. Thank you.
@Miss America, thew only Setting is to really make sure you turn it off with some batteries, then also make sure yu arent plugging them into an apple wall adapter, Laptop, Power bank, or rapid charger or some batteries wont take a charge. if you tell me what specific model you have maybe i can be more helpful. Also it might just be defective some batteries wont take a charge and then youy should contact the manufacturer. this is usually due to faulty wiring and rare, but does happen ocassionally.

hey, dan. super helpful vid. one question: i have a small ganesh migo 510. is it always necessary to use the preheat function, or just on the first use of a cartridge? just wanna make sure i'm not overdoing it and ruining the cartridge.
@Thenoiboi, appreciate that and glad to help. Normally you only have to do preheat if the oil is super thick and doesnt really flow at all if you lets say tilt the pen to one side... so it depends on the oil thickness if you have to preheat every time you vape for the first time or any preheat at all.
@owen Jacob’s, they usually come about 30 percent charged but always best to first charge before using. Very rare is it that they have no charge out of box.
When I plug my non twist battery in, it’s a green light.. not red.. also when i put the cartridge in, it blinks blue when I hit the button and won’t work?
Question for the pre-heat function, do you use it every time you vape? Or just the first time you use it on a new canister. My canister keep clogging, i have a variable twist battery, never set above 2.5. How do i properly use the vape, why am i clogging up
@roderickkinslow8339, so clogging can be due to the formula that it doesnt stay stable in a liquid state and it solidifies easily... in this case you would have to preheat before each session especially if you like vaping at a low voltage.
Great vid! I was searching for this info! I just got a non twist variable voltage from Good Supply, and I have a question: do you have to hold down on the button while taking a hit? Thanks!
@M L, Really appreciate that and so glad I could help. for any push button battery once it is on you have to hold down the button for the duration of the hit, Yes. - Cheers.

Is the pre heat function/temperature the same with the three different voltage settings or does it remain the same no matter what temperature you have selected?
@hobbitta, auto draw is a name for a battery that is buttonless and your inhalation is used to activate and turn the unit on and vaporioze...many people call them pull-thru batteries. It has a more realistic feel as the power of your inhale is used to vaporize ... as opposed to a push button where pushing and holding the button turns the vaporizer on and your inhale is just to draw the vapor out of the chamber, this type of vape usually give you more cloud.
@Ghost Bombl, which model battery did you buy? we have a couple batteries that are similar color but different model, the different models are different lengths, but we dont alter the leangth within model. There are some people out their counterfeiting our batteries beleive it or not, so that is a possibility too.
@@danhoff6890 I figured out the problem. I was to ripped on oil and creatom and some time the kreatom can irritate me and I can't see straight so,today I teyed it and its same size pluss my last one was silver black can fool the size.lol
Hello, could you tell me what is the use of having variable temperatures, what is achieved in each of these three temperatures, which is the most recommended for thc? thank you
@Dennysgarcia cinedigital, having variable temperature is useful for many reasons... the primary one is to be able to adjust your intensity level of how much vapor volume you get per puff, this is subjective and varies by individual so having the ability to dial into Low, med, or high intensity is very useful, like a variable speed fan to circulate air. Many prefilled cartridges use different tanks, with different resistance levels and they then require different power inputs so having the variable temperature allows you to dial into that. Now as for the best temperature to run a battery at depends on the cartridge or tank you are vaping and your persoinal preferences but most people vape arround 3.5Volts. Hope this helps, Dan.
So I have a non twist 510 variable battery I just got today. My issue is that I don't know how to indicate that it's fully charged. It doesn't connect to a USB at the bottom neither, instead it screws into the USB from the heated tip end. The USB has a green light currently but the battery is showing a red light on the button. Moments before the USB light was green, it was red. So I pressed the red lit button on the battery to see what happens and then the red light on the USB turned green instantly. But the battery button light is still red. Idk, i need help.
@youngdresbaby, what charging source are you plugging the usb/pen into? so it is possible your battery is charged... if you push the button the LED on the battery usually indicates voltage. Have you used and drained the battery?
Very well done video! I'm trying to use my510 thread button less vape pen from Herb.Delivery CA and it doesn't want to charge or vape 😞 Any chance you can pin point the problem? I looked other videos but none of them were for this particular pen battery. Thanks again for your video 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😎
@Haydee Judice, thank you for the Kind Words, and a couple of things to try in order to isolate the issue. When you plug it in is there any Blink patterns on the battery. When you click it 5 times to unlock it is there any signs of life?
@@danhoff6890 Thank you so much for your quick response 😃 My pen doesn't have a button, it's just like the one you showed on the video but the brand name is from Herb.Delivery in California. When I plug it to charge it, it blinks many times, stops. I let it charge overnight and when unplugged it, it blinks like four times and stops... Nothing happens when put the cartridge and puffed 🤔 I've tried different USB chargers, even my lappy,, with no luck. I got it as a gift from my niece and I'm new into this 🤗
@@hayjud5123 if it is a buttonless, did you try to push the Stylus tip 5 times rapidly sometimes the buttonless ones have the button behind the stylus tip and its locked unless you unlock it. like our VV Buttonless pen.
@@danhoff6890... I got it working 😁 A friend told me to puff hard, so I did and it's been working fine after that 😎 Thanks for your tips though, greatly appreciated 💯😍🌈🙌🏻
@jadajames9094, if you get some small pliers, you can usually get a Good grip on the metal peice left in the battery, hold it firmly and then with your other hand try to untwist the battery remove the bad metal piece to salvage the battery.
Hi honey stick my MM oil gets hot and turns dark a battery need to made so it can hit down on heater only when pressed and when released it lifts off the heater so it can cool what you think??
@ONG its a good & cool idea, just a lot of moving parts for oils....thats why so many people Dab, you basically put enoug on the coil for the quick Sesh. Ill run it by the team though, thank you for Watching and bringing some good vision!
@stoneyturtle6246, generally you can click it 3 times consecutivley and it will clcyle thru the available temperatures 9 colors) but on some brand batteries, the LED color actually indicates battery charge level, so if clicking it doesnt change it, give it a charge and that should do the trick.
I have a backwoods brand that came with the charger I have to twist on and plug into a charging brick. My question is when plugged up how do I know when it’s fully charged? My light is red but flickers green for like a second then goes back red. It’s done that continuously for about a hour. Would the led turn completely green when fully charged?
@Free Moves, i am not familiar with the programming on the Backwoods, but most batteries are as you said the light goes solid green. I would change the Charging source, like try a new block, or different computer / adapter, make sure you arent using an apple, rapid charger, powerbank or laptop as those might not give it the necssary current you need. if none of those work, please contact the seller as the battery is probably defective.
Hi Corisca86 DC, it could be a few issues, Maybe you can turn the voltage up by pushing the button 3 times quickly or turning the twist dial. Make sure the battery is charged up. The cartridge might be bad also.
I have a a good supply. 2 question. One is I am finding that I am choking so much when I inhale. I’ve tried super short breaths but can’t stop coughing. I don’t know if it happens to everybody but could use some help on not choking while I use it. The second question is my light does not flash now when I push the button. Is this because I need to charge it or is it just turned off. I did try pushing the button five times and nothing came on but I don’t know if that’s because it’s a different brand you’re referring to
@V Dog, the choking could be due to having your power setting up too high on the vape, try turning it down, either with the twist finction or clicking the unit button while it is on 3 times. to alternate between setting or use the twist function. for not turning on, did you make sure the battery was fully charged,.
I have gone through many batteries and carts and my last 3 carts seemed to burn and the battery got hot and then oil would always be leaking out now after
how’s it going man sorry kinda late but had a quick question, i have a battery that’s draw activated but i have a cartridge that doesn’t have a airflow hole on the bottom, what battery is best to use for that type of cartridge. looks like it needs a battery that heats up the bottom?
@808_dummeh, hi there, all good, you are correct auto draw wont work with a cart without an airhole. you need a push buttom battery. Our honeystick Twist batteries and HoneyStick quatro batteries are great batteries with variable voltage that can power these carts. without issue. but really any 510 battery with a push buttom activation that can run over 3.0V and has over 280mah shoudl do the trick for you.
@S. Lynch, I am happy to answer any of your questions for clarity. Many people do use some of our smaller kits to vape ejuice, some units work better than others if you use ejuices or thin oils. If you had something in mind, let me know the model and I can let you know if it will be good.
@@danhoff6890 I use a Vision Spinner 2 battery to vape e-juice, & I'm trying to find a better tank/coil that's mesh, &/or ceramic, or stainless steel, whatever is best for better tasting hits using my Kahlua 30 vg. 70 pg. 18 mg. e-juice any suggestions would be great.

many of these pens you can charge with a 510 thread screw charger that screws onto where the cartridge is , many of them also have a micro usb sharger or usbc- charging port.
Thanks, bro but I just bought a 510 Ooze about a week ago. It's got female threads, in fact, it's identical to the first battery that you referenced, the 2.0 to 4.0 millivolts twist battery. The problem is that when I push twice quickly it does nada. I take a blow dryer and pre-heat the cart while the dryer is on a low heat setting. I do this for about 2-3 mins. Is this ok, good, bad, or?.... Also, can someone help with the preheat button?
@andrew D, for most slim vape carts you want to be at 3.5 Volts or below, it depends on your preference. I would start at 3.5 V and see if you prefer more power or a little less. More power = more intensity, more vapor but will laso feel hotter and if too much power can tast burnt. Lower levels give you bigger flavor, less vapor quantity.
Is preheating the carts important? All the carts I've tried fizzle out after 5 to 10 good thick puffs. The air pull is good but barely any vapor after that. is it cheapy carts? I've been through tons. Last ones I got were the powerslugs. They seemed quality but didnt deliver after the 10 good puffs or so. Even after cleaning them they got worse.. I ordered your performance carts hopefully it doesnt let me down
@asamusicdude, it depends on the thickness of the concentrate if it gets all dried up and semi solid on the inside you should run a preheat for sure or it can burn carts out faster if you dont in that case as the coil will overheat, the viscous oil keeps the coil temperature down. the performance cart is a solid cart and has gooten good reviews and feedback for nice hits and being a solid performer.
@@danhoff6890 I'm thinking thier cheapy carts because I've done all kinds of viscosites from super thin to thick. With same results. Using terpenes or VG.
@Briy.a, I would try a differenct charger / cable, or wall adapter and alls outlet or source. if changing those doesnt work, contact the manufacturer and tell them it is not holding a charge.
@Narcissist Jarvis, when you push the button on the ooze does the light around the led blink fast? if yes it means either the cart is burnt out ( lets hope not) or there is a contact issue. if there is a contact issue then sometimes you can take a paperclip and kind of gently lift the little Spring pin in the battery, then put cart back on and try to vape again. If the light remains solid, (not blinking when u push the button) then the battery is probably bad and you need a new one. Without knowing the answers to the troubleshooting above the battery with the best connector and one of my highest satisfaction ratings is the one on the link here. Make sure to use code HONEY420 if purchasing from here, we also have many authorized distros that might have special promotions. www.vapehoneystick.com/shop/vaporizers/bee-master-oil-vape-pen-kit.html
Dan Hoff yes it blinks fast but then when I take it off and press it down the pen blinks for 10 seconds like it’s suppose to when the cart is in. I will try to lift the connector and see if it works. Thank youuuu
@@thedanysciajarvis2203 My Pleasure, let me know if that works, also make sure the pen is charged, sometimes the long blink with certain brands means its low on a charge and might be why it isnt powering the cart if it blinks when you take the cart off. Im not too Familiar with OOZE to know if their Blink patterns have different meanings but these are pretty standard.
@bachelard, in general batteries will indicate which colors indicate different temperature....for honeystick branded stuff Red is generally the highest, and Blue is Generally the lowest temp, and we will use an amber or green for mid range temps.
Ok so, I have a button less battery. My cartridge has the air hole, I can't get vapor when I draw. The light at the end lights up tho. I'm wondering if it needs charged or if the charger isn't working right? I plug the charger into the USB port, it lights up green. I twist the battery on .....isn't the light supposed to turn red? To indicate that it's charging or at least connected?
@Crevisb, generally if you inhale and the battery turns a dolid color the battery is working, and it could be the cartridge has a connection issue in it. if you try another cartridge and it still doesnt vaporize the battery is defective most likley. if the battery needs a charge and yuou inhale it will generally Blink and the led will not remain solid .
@Chris M,, it depends on the brand of battery it is. Some of them the LED arround the button blinks and goes solid when charged. some of them have a light at the foot of ther battery
Haven’t been able to use my ELF variable voltage 510 battery. Battery is charged and will turn on. But when I screw a cart onto it, just flashes twice and won’t turn on. It works if I unscrew the cart halfway or more but doesn’t function.
@myname_fails try to clean up the connection area with a qtip dipped in isopropyle and let me know if that helps if not email us at support@vapehoneystick to see warranty options.
@ M M , for auto draw batteries the Cartridge HAS to have an airhole for it to function. In addition to that it needs to be a non sub ohm cart, which basically means any of these slim prefilled carts from a dispensary are fine. It does not have to be ceramic or have a cermaic heater, but most cartridges on the market now for prefill do, and they work well with auto draw, but Quartz, Kanthal, stainless and titanium heaters will also work with them, I hope this helps clarify. - Dan
