I have that whale mold. What I did was cut down to the narrow part with scissors and I use a rubber band to close it when I use it. Yes it works. It's kind of finicky but it does work. And he is super cute. I want to get that dolphin mold!! I have a smaller one but omg the bubbles. I bought a cake decorating set at family dollar that has a curved plastic end on one of the tools and it really works good to get the stuck bubbles out. Love love love the dolphin color and of course the glitter coasters are awesome!

Oh my goodness...yes you could have used the leftovers in mine!! I didnt think about that either!! 😂 Too bad about the tail on the lil guy!! They need to figure out a better way tomaake molds like that!! 😊 But again, the coasters turned out absolutely STUNNING!!!! 💜🥰💜🤯💜😍💜
I got that little dolphin mold as well. It was from Temu. It did the exact same thing to me, and I ended up having to throw the mold out because I could not get the broken tail out! They shouldn’t even be selling it. They need to refigure that one because the rest of it is cute! Beautiful coasters and love the little whale😊.

Kintsugi is used to beautiful effect in Japan to mend broken china. It would be more authentic to take some pretty paper or napkins, cover them with craquelure, cut them up (after sealing) and put them in the spaces instead of contrasting material. You would not have to use this mold. In fact, creating the lines would be a great use of Hand Painted Resin. Guess I just thought of a project.
