My Hampton Bay Glendale keeps making a humming noise, I don't know why. Had it for almost 2 years, humming noise didn't really bother me but would like to get it fixed, I tried tightening somethings to see if that would help but it didn't. I do have a heavy duty switch, not a dimmer. I don't know how to explain it but its plain white and its little hard to flip it to on so I don't know if it's the switch on the wall I need to replace with a regular one since I figured the switch might be too powerful for the fan but it only controls the light. I don't know what to do to get it to stop, do you know? Does yours make a humming noise? It's not really noticeable on medium or low but on high, you can hear it.
Mine makes a natural motor hum, but mine also doesn’t make a loud humming noise. You could try tightening the shades but it’s more effective when the fan is making a buzzing noise, and not a hum. I’d still recommend to try though. If that doesn’t work, it’s likely just a motor hum
