Thanks. I though about re-shooting inside but my wife was getting ready for a writing workshop so it would have interfered. I ran through the raw footage and highlighted my notes. I'd captured everything I needed to say so lots of editing and ignoring the flapping note noise was the way to go.
I recently got this camera from a thrift store and I’m not really familiar with shooting film so I was wondering if this camera is supposed to show how many shots you have left because mine doesn’t and I’m not sure if it’s because I put the film wrong.
Hi, sorry for the slow reply. Does it do it immediately and show an 'E' or does it do the prewind and then put it back in the cartridge (the film counter counts up to the # exposures and then rewinds)? Two things to check: The leader may not be being grabbed (I'll link to the video where I saw this below); or the mid-roll rewind button may be stuck "on". Go to about 55 seconds: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mjFbgaUU3mM.html I don't understand him but the difference seems to be the hand trimmed leader. He also shows how to easily move the film door stop and open the back completely. That way you can check for anything in the chamber and also try feeding more film into the take up area before closing the back. HTH.
