Thanks! I started using RU-vid just as a place to keep videos and not bust my blog's storage limit and it sort of grew from there. I do it for fun and haven't really tried to grow or monetize the channel so low view counts don't bother me. Sometimes people are looking for more info on a specific camera or correct a mistake I made or just chime in to say thanks or hello - a very chill and friendly community.
Hey there! I have the Yashica Dental Eye II and am unable to change the shutter on this, only exposure compensation below. I used 200 ISO and they turned out rather dense and overexposed. Would using a different ISO speed suit this camera better?

The honest answer sounds like a weasel answer but here goes. It depends. Here are a few questions to narrow things down: 1) Film or digital? I started answering assuming film but that may not be the case. 2) What is "cheaper" to you? Once you nail down a budget, you can look at what you can get or how much you're willing to bid on an auction site. 3) What do you want to do with it? Snaphots of friends, street photography, small & handy for hiking, etc. Once you have those parameters narrowing your choice for you, you can look at specific features - a zoom vs a fast wide prime lens, features vs age (old cameras do croak), fixed, zone, or auto-focus, common or harder to find batteries, and on and on. Think about it, narrow it down a little, and hopefully, I can be more helpful.
