Fun fact: nicknames of these characters have meaning behind. If I am not mistaken, 52 Hertz also refers to the lonely whale whose call wasn't answered by any other whales, because it's of different hertz [edit: frequency], hence the 52 Hertz Whale. So, I interpreted this animation as *the MC having no one to understand him, feeling lonely and isolated in physical, mental and emotion aspects; until that guy arrived.

The way how his frequency didn't turned blue or smooth but instead he learned to adapt to the one he had represents how some of us has flaws that we cant fix but can learn to love it which makes us all unique but thats what i thought.
