@@KienDLuu the ZB commdore, comes in either a 4cyl turbo or v6 with fwd or awd. It's an ok car on its own, but shouldn't wear the commodore badge and should be called something else instead.

@@vadimdale22 It was good fun mate following your car around. A few guys on our line bought the current models and got to do it. You just got to hope you're on shift when it goes online. The car takes on a greater meaning when you've seen a lot of it built. It's a shame it went the way it did. For years while the US plants were struggling we were turning a profit, Elizabeth was running 3 shifts with the plant operating 24 hrs a day for a few years. Only allowed to ever export X amount into the US. GM really did us no favours and then bailed on us after Obama saved their collective arses. Our Government was no help either when we needed them most. It ended more than a car company like you said the Ford Holden rivalry is decades old. The muscle cars that have come and gone through those years, Bathurst the V8 Supercars. Brocky whose face was all over the plant. Was on afternoon shift the day the news came through he'd died in an accident. The whole plant to a man and woman was sombre you could feel it in the air the loss was so immense. It was a religion, when two teams go to war you were either Ford or Holden lol. That will be missed forever.

The US public wanted the Holden ute (New El-camino) but the US gov has ridiculous tariffs for non US built 'Pickups'. If the 2008 economic meltdown didn't happen the Pontiac G8 and Ute would have been made and sold in the US.

As a 17 year old when it came out in the USA. I wanted it. At 23 now I finally own one and it’s already getting built for power. 2015 Silver Ice Metallic Auto and I already got the Holden badges for it in the mail.

DBA rotors all round, 2018 Cadilac CTS-V 6 piston calipers on the front and 4 piston rears, all stainless brake lines throughout, Feredo carbon brake pads, she stops on a dime now. Mate I almost got the Orange SS but I couldn't find one in manual option at the time. Bloody gorgeous color. @@vadimdale22 Yeh it is a rare color that only came out for the 2013 model, the color is farely common on the standard ones, but there were not many SSV Redlines done, with the options i have! And yes it's a 6 spd. I laughed when my mate brought a series 2 redline wagon cause it's auto lol. Oh don't get me wrong, they are a great looking rim, but when i see VE rims on a VF, my initial thought is "it's a VE" until i stop looking at the wheels if that makes sense? There are so many awesome aftermarket wheels now.....I had matte black Simmons FR20's on the car when i brought it, i've always wanted them but as soon as i got them, i sore them EVERYWHERE lol....so i swapped them for staggered 20 inch Lenso D1R Drift wheels, 9 up front and 10 on the rear with i'm pretty sure the biggest dish you can have on a VF without tubbing it, i reckon i could sit a small kid in the dish lol And being a spray painter on the side and getting all my paint for free, i painted the wheels satin black, along with the front bar inserts, the side vents, rear diffuser, and all badges The roof is wrapped but it looks shit so im going to take it off and paint it black as well! I do have the chrome handles that you have, but everything else is blacked out which looks soo tuff and stealth on the orange! I have also sacked it on it's balls (coilovers, but will be bagging it) and taken off the rear wing, which makes it look so much better. The standard lines the car has is perfect! I'll get some pics up when i can I really really hate my seats after seeing yours, i dont know what Holden were thinking but they put a white suede insert down the middle of the seats (i have the white suede throughout mine) but that's it! It goes black if you look at it the wrong way let alone sitting on it, but they just look so plain and shit! I used to have an airbagged 2002 HSV GTS Coupe and even the interior in that was shit for a $110,000 aud car! They should've stuck with the Recaros they used to run up to the VY!

Nice having the painting background so you can tinker with color options whenever you want. I reckon the orange with blackout is probably my favorite color specs for these. Yeh not sure what they were thinking with the seats, is a cheap option for an expensive beast.

Hey, I hear what you are saying in regards to a brand. When I was in New Zealand a few years ago I kept seeing these and really liked them. Especially that exhaust note. Heck the only reason I'm even here watching this video is I actually saw a Holden on the road here in Texas yesterday. I was like, WTF is that badge. And then I remembered my time in New Zealand. I was more commenting on the the SS Sedan version Chevy had here in the States for a short time. I'm sure you know it was a complete failure. It shouldn't have been. No marketing and bad price point for features modders don't really care for. Sweet car though. when the used market prices come down to 15-20k I'd consider getting one. But, I'd rather have a Holden just for the sleeper aspect.

@@vadimdale22 i miss it to this day, was a great place to work. I miss the camaraderie and the perks of working there. I havent enjoyed the last 10 years of work as much as i did at Holdens, but too many people took advantage of the place both high and low.

@@vadimdale22 honestly yeah i knew the writing was on the wall. I took the first redundancy packages they offered which now i regret as i could have got a few more years and more cash from it. But i was in my mid 20's and i thought being the first out the door would be easier to get a new job without having thousands of others to compete with, guess it made sense at the time though. Was nice to have a big stack of cash given to me, which i went traveling with so i guess it wasnt all bad. But i was happy there and it was frustrating to see so many people who worked there have zero passion for their work and the company, and i was never a Holden fan when i was younger but i appreciated cars and felt pride in my work. It made it easy that they could recognise the people that put in the extra work and had a good work ethic, which they would usually train up on other things. I completed my VIC certificate there in 1 year when it would take most workers 3-4 years if they even bothered to do it. Oh well the memories........
