Yeah, I think color schemes is one of 52Toys' strong suits. Even so, it's hard to go wrong with black, white and red - and totally appropriate for this particular character. 😎
In regards to Meltdown, there seems to be 2 different versions one is "luminous" which i assum3 means it has the torch where the other doesnt? Do you know if my assumptions are correct? Or is it just the hlow in the dark thats different?
Yep, there were two versions sold for this one: a UV and glow in the dark (GID is what “luminous” refers to). Meltdown still isn’t hard to get ahold of at a reasonable price, though I’ve been told the GID version is more rare - last time I looked, I couldn’t find that one anywhere. Although everything else that’s in the box is exactly the same, including the UV flashlight.
@@XMattingly i think im okay without the glow in the dark feature anyway if im honest, Meltdown seems decent certainly more affordable than the other one we discussed, weirdly IronClaw seems to be sold out everywhere lol
@@the13th Yeah, Iron Claw just up and disappeared off the market, seemingly overnight. There is the light blue one (forgot its name) still floating around, but the original is definitely the one people still seem to want. As far as Meltdown, the UV one definitely has some nice attributes. Its UV reflection matches perfectly with the Box Charger (where the GID is distinctly different), and with that matte black + shiny UV markings, looks _great_ under normal light. That's one that I'd be completely stupid to buy just for another variation, but I still have an urge to pick it up. 😁
Do u know if there is any work around to be able to sign up to the 52 subscription service to get their annual exclusives? I recently heard it’s only avail to residents of mainland China…which sucks, lol
I wish I had a good answer for you; my best understanding is, you pretty much have to know somebody who lives in China and is willing to send multiple shipments, since the subscription comes with a new figure every month. On a positive note, Meltdown isn't one of those exclusives and it's still available!
@@JM-zw8cq Joytoyworld still has it, as well as some sellers on eBay. I know I saw at least one seller on Aliexpress who had it recently, but I'm not finding it there, now.
@@XMattingly have u ever ordered from them? Joy toy? I’m trying but they only seem to accept PayPal which I don’t use…can’t seem to see a way to pay via credit card directly. And I tried calling their customer service number and got a “not a good number”
@@JM-zw8cq Yep, I've ordered from JTW a couple of times and intend to again in the future. I've had no issues & definitely recommend them. As far as PayPal, I hadn't looked at that so I don't know; might just be that they're a smaller retailer. And in case you didn't know, they're based in China, so they might be harder to get ahold of by phone. I do know that their sales guy is someone named Loy Chen; I would bet you'll have better luck emailing them, or contacting him through Facebook. He seems like a pretty responsive guy, so I'm sure he'd be happy to answer any questions. Hope that helps!
