There's definitely like a uncle/nephew dynamic between the 2 that is great to see. Josiah definitely needs a positive male role model in his life especially with the rocky history between him and his own father.

He's been out there for so long...I know of him. Honestly he doesn't want the proper help. He knows where to go to get help. Sadly the streets have consumed him
Definitely. He also tries to offer these people rehab, buys them food amongst other things.💯 And if it wasn’t for him, these people wouldn’t get our help. JS
Unc has been in survival mode for yrs. Now he is tired. Sometimes, as much as we hate to admit, karma comes knocking. He is filled with so much heaviness, his energy is cancerous to himself. He may have a good heart, but he is an angry soul and doesn't receive anything when offered different options. He is stuck in self...he hears but is not listening...

If I didn't belive in and respect the process of KARMA I wouldn't have mentioned it. Therefore, I know it does not discriminate good or bad. Everything that you spoke also reflects back to YOU. He can still survive if he continue to take his meds. Medicine is not like it use to be 20 plus years ago. He can go from having full blown AIDS to being undetected. There are programs out there that will help him get his meds. I pray so much for this man and anybody else suffering 🙏

They usually have resources for people with HIV/AIDS that’s a disability.. they have a special housing program , a center where they offer medication , they can sign him up for disability, housing , food stamps and treatment. I’m not sure how the system works up there in ATL but they have that here in Florida .
Yeah they do but being in them streets so long without being able to see the light at the end of the tunnel it will knock that spark of life out of you and eventually you gonna give up. an never change. It's a internal job to change the way a person think that's the key. God is good 🙏🏿
I was going to mention the same. The benefits are so serious here in atl, I know men in the lifestyle that "bug chase" just to get taken care of. This has bren going on for yrs. He will be taken care of (meds, housing, stipend/soc. security, etc)
if he has sickle cell I cant imagine how he's on the street, just the cold weather can trigger a sickle cell seizure, which can be deadly. Even in jail he would need to be on a special unit sickle cell is a chronic disease. He should be able to get disability easy because if he does have sickle cell and now full blown aids HE DOES NEED HELP! He cant get out there like that young man because IF all those things are true, this is a very sick man and that may explain why he disappears so often. I have a close family member with sickle cell noo way he could or at the very least SHOULD be doing all that fighting, gang banging and what not, in and out of jail, its not an easy disease on the body. Its all hard to believe, jail might be his way of saying he was in the hospital ( some men don't like to say that , it's strange but especially if you're on the street, you cant be seen as weak )
💯 I have a granddaughter that has SSD. Painful as hell. Both hot & cold weather affects her. If she starts to sickle too bad & her meds no longer stops the pain, she has to be hospitalized. This disease is nothing to sniff at. SSD is a very serious disease!!!!!😢
Hey man my sister just passed away from HIV... she had medicine my used to be sponsor has it he has bone cancer now.. My sister started having seizures... it's a spiritual thing and psychological thing... yes the meds work..but it's kinda like cancer my fiance has to go back to the doctor to blood test on that... imma keep bro in prayer...he didn't look that way the last interview... people have stop talking about it.. and these homeless people having unprotected sex everywhere... Atlanta is number one nationally.. it's no joke I feel his frustration..they have a meeting near Ralph McGill for dual diagnosis.. and HIV that helps with housing and support

He can live 30 plus years or more as many do. I am not sure about which meds but its not an instant death sentence as the beginning of Aids discovery. He has to apply for help and he can get it.
That's true, but being able to get insurance and/or find a program to fund the medication is the issue, as those medications tend to be expensive. Also, staying on a regimen with the instability that inherently comes with homelessness is a whole other challenge. But I do hope he can find treatment.

Behind every hard man, every killer, every so called "bad person", is a scared child that didnt know how to speak out. Ive never met a gangster, dealer or "badman" that doesnt have some kind of trauma growing up. They have to act tough because its a safety mechanism to not get taken advantage of

People don't die from AIDS the way they used to do 30 years or more. Take your meds. Leave the IV drugs alone and get off the streets. It is obvious you do have issues with dying. Going to jail does not guarantee you will get your meds. Stop feeling sorry for yourself and put efforts into living. Peace and Blessing.

@@roshelltannen9698 I hope you're being perfect so that you don't ever suffer the consequences of an imperfection and need the same grace you refuse to extend. Though lifesaving, getting HIV medications isn't as easy as snapping one's fingers. The meds are expensive. Access to treatment can be harder for those without insurance. Also, couple that with the instability of homelessness, and that makes it even doubly hard to maintain a regimen (getting transportation to pharmacy, being able to store meds in a safe place, etc.)

Maybe just maybe if he would handle his business he would be able to afford medications. I've been homeless before while working, all homeless people don't have a heart of gold.
