The Brown Trout, a traditional mid ‘60s street/strip gasser. Who doesn’t love a blown big block Chevy in a mid 50’s shoebox? Flip spent a few years collecting/compiling parts to get this bad boy together. He tells the story and we get to go for a ride, literally. Three pedals, supercharged and neck snapping torque is a great way to roll. The 55 Chevy is likely the most celebrated of the mid 60s gassers, and this one is a prime example of everything done right.

Very nice! I had a 57 gasser and a 57 10:90 bracket racer..plus a black 57 Nomad I picked up in 1979..came with like new original upolstry..drove to Art and Dan Danchucks ranch in Sebastopol CA to drill an irrigation well...got the job!😅 In 1962 I was cruising 4th street in a 59 Ford Galaxy with stock hubcaps and Lutz cheater slicks..all R code 427" running gear from a drag car. Passed it off has a stocker..still had column linkage dangling from the column..we would throw a jacket over the 4 speed shifter and lie!

Forgot to mention I'm still driving the 56 Chevy 150 sedan delivery that delivered phone books for Pacific Bell Telephone to our home in Santa Rosa..third owner..second was the shop that serviced it😮

Big block or carbureted LS is the way to go man. I have a naturally aspirated 496 in my 55 and it's a handful couldn't imagine blown lol

You can't beat a blower. With that wine coming from the glimmer drive Better than those hair dryers they bolt on

A bit of boring information for you if you divide your boost by atmospheric ( 14.7) .then plus one to shift the decimal point .then times that with your pistion size ie 7.1 You will find out what the blower is raising the comprehension ratio in your engine at that particular boost pressure. Ps the 55 is now my screen saver
