When Dad wants to get close to his newborn colt, Mom delivers a few kicks to prevent him from doing so, but it’s all for nothing because Dad is actually in another enclosure and can’t get anywhere close to the colt. This mom is protecting her newborn foal lying on the ground. The second another horse gets too close; she immediately confronts the horse and lets him know he isn’t welcome. The horse insists as if he wants to hurt the foal, but Mom will not let him. When a few more horses approach, one of which is particularly aggressive, mom must double up and even kick out at the assailants, while the tiny foal tries to stand up on his own, even though he barely can. I never knew growing up for a horse was this difficult

That’s not a blindfold, but a fly screen. The horses can see, but the screen offers relief from the flies

I've had people ask me why I blindfolded my horses, which inevitably causes me to burst out laughing. Then again, I've also had people try to give me the bad news that one of my horses had died because they didn't know that horses can lay down to sleep. 🤷‍♀

You are not wrong-head shape longer than a cheetah, lack of the long tail with a bushy end. Probably a Greyhound, or remotely possible it was a Saluki (they typically are used to hunt gazelle or oryx, though, and I cannot imagine any Bedouin ruining the careful training of their hunting Saluki, in order to teach the Saluki to attack horses…the Bedouin would not tolerate any attack on their beloved Arabian horses.)

Instances of animal attacks often spark debates surrounding human-wildlife conflict and management strategies. Balancing the needs of both human populations and wildlife conservation is crucial in mitigating conflicts and fostering harmonious relationships between people and animals, ensuring the preservation of biodiversity while prioritizing human safety.

Those horses were wearing a fly mask, not a blind fold.

The moment when a guy tries to appropriately comment on situations with horses even though he knows nothing about horses. By the way, the masks are called “fly masks”, they can be used for different things (eye sensitivity; dust, light, flies).

The horses were not blind folded. You are not informed.! The "FLYSCREEN" prevents flies from tormenting the horses eyes and ears and noses.. One of my first horses loved his flyscreen. just saying!
